After months of coming in just under the deadline, the first of potentially multiple other shoes has finally dropped when it comes to Bally Sports’ bankruptcy and its ability to broadcast Major League Baseball games. Diamond Sports Group (Dsg), Bally Sports’ parent company, failed to make a contractual payment to the San Diego Padres during the late-payment grace period that ended on Tuesday, May 30, meaning that the company would be forfeiting its rights to air the team’s games. Therefore, as it has promised to do since even before Diamond’s bankruptcy process began, the MLB has stepped up and will begin broadcasting Padres’ games starting on Wednesday, May 31.

No one is going to convince Emma Stone to not show her team spirit - not even a stadium full of passionate Mets fans. On Friday, Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, were spotted at New York City's Citi Field for Game 1 of the wild-card series between the San Diego Padres and New York Mets. Despite being firmly in Mets territory, the couple didn't let that stop them from showing off their Padre pride.
During the game, Stone and McCary appeared on the Jumbotron where the entire stadium saw them sporting their Padre bomber jackets. In a video shared by ESPN on Instagram, the couple's attire was met with loud boos from the many Mets fans in attendance at the game. However, they seemed completely unbothered. In fact, the Oscar winner and her husband toasted the crowd.

Emma Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, had the best reaction to getting booed after they were shown on the jumbotron. They made a toast!
The Oscar winner and McCary were spotted Friday night at Citi Field for Game 1 of the Wild Card series between the San Diego Padres-New York Mets. Stone and McCary are big fans of the Friars, and they put their fandom on display — and quite possibly their safety at risk! — by wearing classic Padres bomber jackets.
Well, Mets fans weren’t having it, because as soon as Stone and McCary appeared on the jumbotron, the boisterous crowd showered them with a chorus of boos. Not to worry, Stone and McCary took the dig in stride. Check that, they seemed to take it as a badge of honor, as they raised their drinks as if to toast, before McCary took a drink out of his beverage...

It’s almost impossible to extricate the Boston Marathon bombings of April 15, 2013 from the city itself. From the media coverage after the explosions to the ensuing manhunt that captured international attention, all eyes were fixed on the city, both in its aftermath and its response. To memorialize the efforts of first responders, law enforcement and ordinary citizens, Peter Berg’s “Patriots Day” distills its focus to the principal players. Making this select cross-section of newsmakers may not have captured the entire city, but the film executes those landmark moments on the bombings timeline with haunting tenacity.
