British rockers Keane have unearthed their previously unreleased song “Love Actually,” which, as the title suggests, was written for the beloved 2003 rom-com of the same name but ultimately unused by the film’s director.
In defense of Love Actually director Richard Curtis, Keane wrote the song before the then-unknown band even released their debut album, 2004’s Hopes and Fears. With Love Actually the film celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and ahead of the 20th anniversary of Hopes and Fears, Keane dug out their “Love Actually” and recorded a proper version for the first time.

Lily Allen has sprinkled her magic over two tracks for the forthcoming Pan movie.
The British singer has recorded 'Something's Not Right' and 'Little Soldier' for the new fairytale film, which stars Hugh Jackman as infamous pirate Blackbeard.
The tracks were written and produced by Keane keyboardist and songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley, and follows in the same vein as Lily Allen's cover of the band's 'Somewhere Only We Know'.
'Something's Not Right' hears Lily's delicate vocal delivery over soft piano twinkles, while 'Little Soldier' is more upbeat with a carnival atmosphere.
Pan will be released in cinemas on October 9, and sees Levi Miller take on the role of Peter Pan, Garrett Hedlund as Hook and Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily.
Cara Delevingne also makes an appearance in the film as a mermaid.

Well, the dog days of summer are fast approaching, and what better way to duck out of the heat than by spending a cool day inside, AC-blasting, with your Blu-ray player and an endless supply of chilled adult beverages. June sees the release of an Alfred Hitchcock classic (beautifully restored), a trio of Lina Wertmüller gems, a nearly lost Michael Curtiz effort, a movie about the sex lives of ghosts, and a plane crash survival tale sold on the, er, ample merits of its female lead.
“The 39 Steps” (Alfred Hitchcock, 1935)

Blown Away #1 again as Adele moves back up to #2.

Just as the 11th season of "American Idol" is wheezing to a close , the top three contenders can take some heart in the fact that former champ Carrie Underwood is still at the top of her game. Underwood's latest, Blown Away, will spend a second week at the top of the Billboard 200 charts thanks to sales of 120,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
Though sales were down 55 percent, that was enough to edge out a resurgent Adele, who may have benefitted from the Mother's Day Bump for her unstoppable 21, which was up 31 percent and two spots to #2 on sales of 101,000. That holiday push helped lift Adele over the 9 million mark in the U.S., with diamond status now well within reach.

Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley has described the band's upcoming album Strangeland as a "hopeful and philosophical" record. The band are set to release their latest album on May 7, while the lead single 'Silenced by the Night' is out on April 30. Rice-Oxley explained that the new single provides a good starting point to the album. "It does the job of a single pretty well in that it's a simple introduction to the themes of the album - the journey we all go on chasing our dreams, trying to navigate the bumps with a bit of grace, trying to hold on when things get really rough," he told MTV News. "But I think the album has a lot of emotional depth that's hard to sum up in one song. That grace I mentioned is something I don't think we've touched upon before, and the emotional directness and passionate heart (more)...

Keane's new video for their latest single "Disconnected" looks like it could have been a deleted scene from 1979's "Amityville Horror."
Inspired by '70s horror classics, the video was filmed in an actual haunted house in Barcelona, Spain.
The visuals for "Disconnected," the second single off the British band's latest album Strangeland, were co-directed by Spanish directors Juan Antonio Bayona and Sergio G Sanchez. Baynoa and Sanchez both worked together on 2007 horror movie "The Orphanage."
Fans of Keane may notice that the band's new material is geared heavily toward the pop-rock sound of their last album Perfect Symmetry, but the band has said that there will be elements from their first two studio albums on Strangeland.
