It might not be part 2, part 3 or part 5 of her new album “Renaissance,” but Beyonce has dropped a new project: During last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, Gatorade released a new commercial honoring Serena Williams narrated by the singer.
The video, directed by Jake Nava — who helmed Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” video — was released as the tennis superstar takes to the U.S Open one last time late Monday night. Williams announced that she was “evolving away from tennis” earlier this month.
The extended version released this morning highlights Williams’ career. The “Break my Soul” singer’s narration starts, “When the world writes her down in history, we’ll begin where she started. At love.”
It continues, “It’s a love that we’ll remember through the generations, a love that started a movement, a movement to always love exactly who you are and who you can be.

Russ has dropped a music video for his recent single “Are You Entertained” featuring Ed Sheeran, who lent his vocals to the track.
The glossy video, which features appearances from Brenda Edwards and Tom Felton, was meant to be directed by British music mogul Jamal Edwards, who died in February. Sheeran shared the story behind the video in a lengthy Instagram post, noting that Russ first approached him last December in New York while he was out to dinner.

Leave it to Beyoncé Knowles-Carter to coordinate the release of “Black Is King” — a visual album produced across three continents and inspired by a $1.6 billion-grossing blockbuster — during a global pandemic. The multi-hyphenate star’s latest visual album is based on her soundtrack “The Lion King: The Gift,” which was released last year alongside the film.
Unlike some of the star’s past work, audiences had a month to prepare for its release on Disney+, and the “celebratory memoir” about the Black experience is now available to stream for subscribers around the world.
Artists from “The Gift” — including Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell Williams, and African stars Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, and more — all appear in the film, and so do stars including Lupita Nyong’o,...

Beyoncé’s latest visual album is nearly here.
On Sunday morning, the 24-time Grammy winner released a trailer for “Black Is King,” her new visual album releasing on Disney Plus on July 31.
The album is based on “The Lion King: The Gift,” the soundtrack for the classic Disney movie’s photorealistic remake that debuted last year. Beyoncé curated and executive produced the soundtrack, which featured her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Tierra Whack, 070 Shake, Jessie Reyez and other artists.
“Black Is King” promises to reimagine the lessons from “The Lion King” for “today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns,” according to a press release.
“You, who were formed by the heat of the galaxy, what a thing to be. Both unique and familiar. To be one and the same. And still unlike any other,” Beyoncé says in mesmerizing narration throughout the trailer.

She never does anything halfway, and Beyoncé Knowles ended up making 17 music videos to go along with her newly-released self-titled album.
The “Single Ladies” singer enlisted directors like Terry Richardson, Todd Tourso, Jake Nava, and Hype Williams to help bring her amazing new songs into a visual realm.
And for one of the tracks, “Blue,” Knowles and directors Ed Burke and Bill Kirstein even included some footage of Beyonce carrying her adorable daughter Blue Ivy on her hip in Rio de Janeiro.
Of her “visual album” concept, Knowles explained, "I see music. It's more than just what I hear. When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they're all connected to the music."
"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it.

B.o.B's video for his hit single "Both of Us" -- featuring pop country crooner Taylor Swift -- dropped Wednesday, and it's a tribute to the hard-working everyperson. In fact, the video doesn't focus on the superstar duo for too long, as it cuts to scenes of every day people, from all walks of life, living their day-to-day lives.
The rapper and the pop star filmed the video in Nashville, where they reportedly had to battle pesky bugs and "giant" spiders on set. During one particular scene. Swift is walking through a field of flowers -- playing with one very "uncooperative" dog -- while singing the hook of the song, "I wish I was strong enough to lift not one but both of us / Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us."
In many ways the video, directed by Jake Nava, is simple.

B.o.B and Taylor Swift have released the official music video for their hit single Both Of Us, which is off the rapper’s newest album, Strange Clouds. The track mixes the worlds of country and hip-hop into an effective, yet somewhat fluffy song that makes for an interesting music video, directed by Jake Nava.
Swift meshes her always ear-pleasing guitar plucking with Bobby Ray’s smooth lyrics. Together, it all sounds seamless and moves at a great pace. Though the two stars rarely appear in the same shot in the video, it gives us a moving look at the less glamorous sides of Music City, USA.
Admittedly, it’s a bit restrained and some may find the clip boring, but I think it suits the song perfectly.

If, like us, you miss MTV's "Making the Video" big time, you're in luck -- because Access Hollywood went behind the scenes of Taylor Swift and B.o.B.'s new clip for "Both of Us," and came up with a five minute mini-documentary about the trials and tribulations of shooting a music video.
It's the latest single off B.o.B.'s album Strange Clouds, and this video is directed by "My vision for the video is like a kind of collage of different aspects of humanity in the southern states particularly around Nashville," says director Jake Nava.
He surely puts his stars through the wringer. At a country barn, B.o.B. was attacked by a potential life-threatening spider. "It looked like a bird, you know. It was that big. It was just like, hanging out there just ready to kill him, and I saved his life by pointing it out.

On Thursday evening, Adele's somber — and frankly, quite stunning — "Someone Like You" video premiered, and once we had finished wiping the tears from our eyes, we quickly realized that director Jake Nava really deserves a video Oscar or something.
Not only did he deliver a video that perfectly matches the song's heartbroken, haunted feel (not an easy feat), but, whether you know it or not, the British-born Nava has also been responsible for some of the greatest pop clips in recent memory, only adding to a resume that stretches back to the early '90s (and includes work for everyone from System of a Down to the Spice Girls).
And sure, while the eye-catching clips being churned out by Lady Gaga tend to grab the headlines (since, you know, it's Gaga), what makes Nava's work so impressive is that, rarely, if ever, does he make the same video twice. In fact,...

Never mind the fact that, in person, Adele is so bubbly she's practically effervescent. When it comes to her albums, Adele is pain personified. Alone and adrift, brokenhearted and bitter — these are emotions we all feel, but rarely do we have the courage to express them like Adele does.
And nowhere on her 21 album is that more apparent than "Someone Like You," the stirring, somber closer in which Adele goes to visit a former love (with high hopes of a reconciliation), only to discover he has not only moved on with his life, but is in a much better place. And though she's heartbroken, she puts on a brave face, stubbornly proclaiming she'll find someone just like him, even if she knows that she never will. And that...

Despite having the year's best-selling album (on both sides of the Atlantic) and two of the biggest singles in recent history (ditto on the whole transatlantic thing), Adele hasn't been a music-video machine.
Sure, her "Rolling in the Deep" clip was nominated for seven awards at last month's VMAs, but that track — much like her current smash, the stirring "Someone Like You" — became better known for its near-ubiquity on radio. And so far, it remains the only video released from her massive 21 album.
But that's about to change. Because on Thursday, at 7:56 p.m. Et/Pt on MTV, she'll unveil the second clip off the record, for "Someone Like You." And since we know you probably can't wait, we've got an exclusive sneak peek of the video now.

It isn’t exactly a secret that Beyoncé shies away from talking about her personal life, including her marriage to Jay-z. But that doesn’t mean the pop megastar won’t bring life’s most intimate moments to life with her music. In the visual for her latest single, “Best Thing I Never Had,” Bey takes fans behind the doors of her dressing room and off to her wedding ceremony as she shows off her stunning figure in a lacy lingerie get up and an elegant princess gown.
While King B isn’t the first to head to the alter for a music video, she’s clearly one of the calmer video brides. MTV Newsroom appreciate seeing a happy-go-lucky wedding actually pull through, but for those who enjoy a little more drama, take a look at our list of pop stars who have caught a bad case of the runaway bride syndrome.

Almost half a year after being leaked, Kanye West's "Monster" music video has finally made its way out in its final version. Directed by Jake Nava, the clip sees the G.O.O.D Music rapper and his male featured guests Rick Ross and Jay-z in disturbing scenes with a lot of barely-clothed, occasionally-blood-soaking corpses.
While the males are around the dead in the dark scenes, one and the only female cameo Nicki Minaj is battling her Barbie alter ego instead. The femcee, wearing leather gear and equipping herself with a riding crop, straps her pink-wigged alter ego in a chair and the two are engaged in a psychological death match.
Last March, it was rumored that the video was long delayed because it had been banned by MTV. But the network denied it, saying they were simply "awaiting the edits we requested in order for the video to be suitable for broadcast.

Troika Pictures produces and finances genre films mostly for a young audience, focusing on thrillers, comedies and action films – Joel Schumacher’s suspense thriller The Hive is certainly one of them.
Penned by Rich D’Ovidio (Exit Wounds), the story follows an emergency operator who must confront a killer from her past to save a young girl’s life.
Joel Schumacher jumps around in genres whether or not he succeeds, but among his best-known works are thrillers. He has struggled with no wins in the past few years to find the script – I am primarily referring to Twelve and Blood Creek – but his upcoming Trespass may not be the case; troubled Nicolas Cage is starring and it is set for release this September.
Other projects include contemporary love story Paradise Cove, with probably Kenny Ortega to direct; Ice Cube‘s Ten (Peter Cornwell is attached to direct), and rom-com One...

With its swaggering, snarling production work and a roster of guest stars that includes Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Jay-z (rapping about Sasquatch, no less), Kanye West's "Monster" is undoubtedly one of 2010's biggest and baddest songs, so you'd probably expect the video to be equally as intense.
But we're willing to bet you never thought it would be so bloody.
And yet, judging from behind-the-scenes footage taken from the set of the "Monster" video, it looks like the clip won't shy away from getting gory. The footage, first posted in early November on YouTube, began picking up traction on Wednesday (December 1). In it, Ross is seen dressed in a velvet smoking jacket as he dines on a bloody hunk of meat while a (presumably) dead woman is sprawled out before him.

Alicia Keys has a crush on a white man played by Chad Michael Murray in a music video for her single "Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)". Racism and interracial tensions, however, keep them away from each other. "What, I'm not good enough?" Chad questions Alicia's brother when she is escorted away following a fight between her black friends and his gang.
The video is directed by Jake Nava. "Alicia is a true artist and I was very pleased that she was brave enough to go with this unusual concept. Together I believe we have done something new and important," the director previously told Rap-Up. "I hope people are entertained by this video, but that it also makes them think. Alicia was a joy to work with. I love her music and aimed to enhance her visual impact in the marketplace."

Alicia Keys has explained the reason behind the delay of "Put It in a Love Song" music video. Asked about when she will debuted the Beyonce Knowles-featuring video, the "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" singer told Rap-Up that she will first work on a music video for her Drake-featuring single "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)".
"Expect it right after my 'Un-thinkable' video," the 29-year-old Grammy-winning singer promised. "It's kind of nice that I have such a great video and such a great artist in the can. They're going to be able to see the 'Un-thinkable' video first and then see 'Put It in a Love Song,' but it probably won't come until closer to this summer."
The new clip will be filmed in mid-April in Los Angeles with director Jake Nava serving behind the lens. Although Drake lent his vocal on the hook, he won't make an appearance on the video.
