One of the key criticisms bandied about regarding horror movies in recent years has been the abundance of films which have focused on the brutalisation of women. Films like I Spit On Your Grave and its sequel, Maniac, Hidden In The Woods and many other films have focused on this aspect, some have done so in a manner which feels like it has a point to make, some do so veering close to doing it in an exploitative sense, indeed the BBFC felt so with the cut version of I Spit… Julia also fits into this rubric but while there are some aspects which are certainly problematic, as a film in its own right, it’s more interesting...

Jeremy Clarkson won't feature in Forza Motorsport 6, developer Turn 10 has revealed.
Top Gear presenters Richard Hammond and James May will remain after their appearance in the last game, who joined Clarkson in providing narration to certain modes. The specifics of their role without Clarkson has yet to be revealed, as Turn 10 "wants to surprise people" when they do.
"We think people are going to love how they've lended their voice in this version," executive producer Ryan Cooper told Digital Spy at E3 2015. "I've sat down and listened to all of the dialogue and I think personally it's the best that they've ever done."
Earlier this week it was revealed Chris Evans would be joining the show in a three-year deal. Cooper couldn't comment on whether he would be involved in the game going forward, but said the studio would be committed to working with Top Gear as long as fans want it.

As most of you probably already know, Sylvester Stallone has been developing a Rocky spin-off film called Creed. Stallone will reprise his role as Rocky in the movie, but the story will revolve around Apollo Creed’s grandson, who will be played by Michael B. Jordan. This is the description of the story that we know so far:
"The story would follow Creed’s grandson, who has grown up reaping the spoils of all his grandfather’s winnings and is forbidden by his family to enter the world of boxing. Against his family’s wishes, he is drawn to boxing and seeks out Balboa to teach him how to fight and follow in his grandfather’s footsteps."
Stallone recently posted an image on Twitter that features what looks to be the final page of the script for the movie. You can check out that image below that can along with...

Julia
Written & Directed by Matthew A. Brown
USA, 2014
Not all movies have a grand message or thought-provoking theme. Some movies are satisfied with being a beautiful orgy of sex and madness. Matthew A. Brown’s debut film, Julia, is a stylized bloodletting that pushes the limits of good taste and tests your allegiance to its heroine. A delightfully sordid affair that leaves you feeling all kinds of icky, this is a must-add to your October calendar.
Julia is the perfect companion piece to another wonderfully-dark 2014 revenge thriller, Blue Ruin. Only, instead of the protagonist being completely inept at the deadly arts, Julia Shames (Ashley C. Williams) was born to play the part. Wrapped beneath three layers of clothing and hiding behind giant “grandma” glasses, Julia is a cute but awkward girl who tries her best to be invisible. When she finally musters the courage to accept a date with the...

Here's a great animated comedy short that I'm sure you'll enjoy. It's a zombie love story called Love In Decay. It was directed by Ryan Cooper at Muckpuddy, and was part of the New Zealand 48 hour film competition. The short ended up being quite entertaining and really funny.
The story revolves around a chance meeting between two post-apocalyptic Zombie street cleaners, and follows them "into an unexpected and unpredictable, whirlwind romance." I absolutely love how it ends! Enjoy the show!
