Jane by Design 1.15 "The Online Date" Review
Ever since their little heart-to-heart in the summer premiere, Billy and Jane's once rock solid friendship has been drifting in the wind. Whether it be from the new girl in Billy's life or the awkwardness that comes with unresolved feelings, the backbone of Jane by Design hasn't been as strong in recent episodes. On a lot of shows, taking away the best element could break a season and drive the audience away for good, but here it feels different. Refreshing, almost. It's brought a decidedly different dynamic to a show that leaned heavily on their relationship and is evidence that in the back-half of the season, the show has decided to buck formula and explore the nooks and crannies of these characters.
Which is why I liked that they had the self-awareness to point out the distance and the discomfort that the two...

Jane by Design 1.12 "The Celebrity" Review
Jane Quimby is we and we is Jane Quimby. Or something.
The major appeal that somebody like Jane has is that she's meant to represent the every(wo)man, the underdog. We're supposed to almost like vicariously live through her trip into the fashion underworld, as dreams are being fulfilled, victories are being earned, and the weird, whimsical kid in her class finally comes into her own. It makes following her journey on Jane by Design both enjoyable and frustrating, though; while you want to see Jane continue to grow and learn more about the business we call fashion, the closeness that we feel to her and the kinship that has been formed amplifies mistakes. Jane has been pretty okay at handling herself in the adult world, but once she slips, it tends to lead to cringe-y moments and some major secondhand embarrassment.
Funny thing,...

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck held hands during an afternoon in La today. They were layered up for the outing, which included a stop at Starbucks. Jen and Ben welcomed their third child, Samuel, last month, but we have yet to see the little guy in public. His older sisters have been out and about, though, with Violet popping up at a friend's birthday party and Seraphina running errands with Jen in recent weeks. Ben may be adding more to his already-busy schedule with news that he's being considered for a part in Nathan Decker, after Tom Cruise dropped out of the lead role. Ben will also get to work promoting Argo ahead of its Fall release, which he's prepping for by posting photos from the film on his Facebook page. View Slideshow ›...

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison questioned key witnesses in the case of The People vs. Courtney Robertson during the Women Tell All episode on Monday night.
When America's Most Wanted reality star took the stand, she apologetically expressed "regrets…for the way I acted, how I treated the women." Guilty as charged for stealing Ben Flajnik's heart and integrity, she said tearfully, "I don't like being torn apart by family and friends, in the tabloids. I'm sorry for hurting Ben. I cared for him and still do."
Sneak Peek: 'Bachelor' Women Confront Courtney!
Courtney pointedly confronted her hung jury of fellow bachelorettes, individually addressing a few of the women she insulted the most. Some called a truce, but Jennifer accessed the words as Courtney's effort "to repair her image”"and Nicki didn't "buy it for a second." Emily O'Brien spoke about the irony of Courtney seeking forgiveness after denying her that same courtesy during an earlier...

Ben may have kicked Kacie Boguskie off of 'The Bachelor,' but he admits in a new interview that she is beautiful. Do Courtney's looks even compare to Kacie's? Ben Flajnik is reportedly engaged to Courtney Robertson but just because he's in love with her doesn't mean that he didn't find the other women that he met on The Bachelor attractive. In fact, Ben thinks that America would probably vote Kacie Boguskie -- a strong frontrunner until Ben eliminated her during the hometown dates -- better looking than Courtney. "They're all drop dead gorgeous," Ben tells the Los Angeles Times in a video interview. "Take a poll. I'd bet half of America thinks that Kacie B. is more attractive than Courtney. They're all beautiful women." But Ben sent Kacie home, and Courtney is still left as one of the final two contenders for his heart. And even after...

Ben and his fiancee 'have totally cooled off,' a source reveals. Ben Flajnik may have gotten engaged on Nov. 16 -- the last day of filming The Bachelor -- but it looks like this is another Bachelor relationship heading down the drain. "They've totally cooled off," a source tells Life & Style magazine. "They often go five to six days without talking. He doesn't call her, he doesn't text. She keeps saying, 'What kind of a fiance is this?'" Ben isn't acting like he's engaged. In January, Ben flirted with a bunch of girls at the Sundance Film Festival. "I saw him give his number to a brunette at the Extra party at the Canyons resort, and it definitely looked like they both said, 'See you later' when she left," a witness says. "Ben was so flirty." On Feb. 2, Ben told a random girl that she should never partake in a reality dating show.

Amy Poehler’s Leslie and Adam Scott’s Ben may be hell-bent on finding a way to build a romantic future together, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be visited by someone from her romantic past. Louis C.K. is set to guest-star again on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, reprising his role as ex-boyfriend Dave Sanderson, an even-tempered cop who asked Leslie to move to San Diego with him in season 2. (TVLine first reported the news.)
The episode featuring C.K., who currently stars in his own FX comedy, Louie, will air later this season.

Now two more people know about the murder! How much longer can the 'Housewives' keep their secret? This season's Desperate Housewives mystery has been pretty predictable thus far, but I have to admit the Nov. 6 episode threw me for a loop. Bree (Marcia Cross) discovered that Ben (Charles Mesure) is the one who dug up Gaby's (Eva Longoria) stepfather's corpse last week, but what's even more surprising is that he's actually helping her keep the murder a secret! But just when Bree thought she could rest easy, she got a little visit from everyones' favorite bitter detective Chuck (Jonathan Cake), who made it very clear he knows what really went down that night. Ben may have gotten Mike (James Denton) to dispose of the body for good, but it looks like Chuck will remain a thorn in the Housewives' side for a little while longer. Meanwhile, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) finally...

The Secret Life graduation episode has been much hyped, but, fortunately, it did not disappoint. In fact, "And Circumstance" was my favorite installment of this show to date.
A lot of viewers were excited for what might happen, mainly the engagement of Ricky and Amy. However, what really ruled the episode was the ending, chock full of surprises and drama.
I've said it before, but now I'm going to say it again and for a whole new reason: Madison is Not to be trusted! Hasn't Amy learned that from Madison blabbing all of her secrets in the past? Obviously not, but here's hoping Lauren learns a thing or two.
After all, it's not everyday that your best friend sleeps with your boyfriend. Nor is it everyday that your best friend sleeps with your soon-to-be ex wife. I'm looking at you, Henry. Major Hell is going to break loose when the show returns.

“This is the first chapter of the greatest love story ever told.” Behold the words that the “winning” suitor used to solidify his relationship with our tragically insecure heroine Ashley on Monday’s season finale of The Bachelorette.
Of course, the path to “true love” on ABC’s reality dating franchise is never a smooth one, and so before Jp heeded the wisdom of Beyoncé and put a ring on it, we had to endure Ashley taking a sensual mudbath, Ashley’s tattooed sister Chrystie stirring up our Bachelorette’s darkest fears like a fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt, and bewildered winemaker Ben...

Its never easy to follow up a phenomenal episode. As a result, it wasn't your fault, "Don't Go In There!," but you fell a little flat compared to last week's installment.
Adrian's return to school was the main highlight. That girl sure knows how to work a room! Ben may have felt sure in his decision to leave her, but his jaw sure did drop at the sight of her busting through those double doors.
He experienced another jolt when she staunchly defended him in the face of accusations that he was a drunk and at fault for losing their baby. I have to say, Francia Raisa's scenes get better every week. She's turning out to be the true star of this show.
Elsewhere, Leo is being really hard on Ben and I have to wonder if he's somehow using his anger to mask his own marital frustrations. Between...

During the July 11 episode of The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert finally gets her first overnight date with one of the two front-runners, Ben Flajnik. Ashley could marry into owning a winery Or an Italian restaurant — which should she go for?
Could Bachelorette Ashley Hebert be engaged to the man of her dreams right now? The 26-year-old dental student filmed two of her four hometown dates, with Ben Flajnik in Sonoma, Calif., on April 20, and with Constantine “Dino” Tzortzis on April 22 in Cumming, Ga., according to RealitySteve.com.
Ben may live in San Diego but he spends much of his time in the wine country of Sonoma, where he co-owns Evolve Winery. As season three of Southland closed out, we saw Ben’s final day with his training officer. It was "Graduation Day" and little boot’s all grown up.
John’s downward spiral continued. His back hurt so badly he could barely walk, so Ben did the heavy lifting, sometimes literally. When Southland started three seasons ago, John was a hard-nosed cop and a tough training officer. Ben may not have always liked him, but he respected him.
Now? What little respect Ben had remaining for John he showed by drawing a line in the sand. Either he gets checked into rehab or Ben would tell their Watch Commander to give John a drug test. Putting his life on the line with a partner who wasn’t there to back him up was unacceptable. John’s the one who taught him that.
How about the perp who plunged to his death from the rooftop?...

Gossip Girl has aired terrific mid-season finales in the past, and "The Townie" was no exception, redeeming Serena, Juliet and Ben and casting Lily in the worst possible light.
Who would have guessed Chuck's quote used in the promo, "shared enemies make for some unlikely friends," would have referenced his former stepmother and not Juliet?
This isn't to say Serena's decision-making is strong or that Juliet isn't insane, but Lily's role in Ben's plight was a dark twist - as was her clandestine plan to sell the company.

Big Brother housemate Mario Mugan has branded his bestest buddy Ben Duncan as ‘very emotionally needy.’
After the revolting Big Brother boozer task, the pair relaxed in the garden and started to talk about their friends and family outside the Bb house.
Ben told Mario: “I hope they’re missing me, I’m missing my friends. I love my friends, I’ve got very special friends, almost all of them.” He then said: “I hope they haven’t all got girlfriends and boyfriends. I need them emotionally, and they need me emotionally.”
Mario responded by suggesting that Ben may need his friends more than they need him. He said:
“You’re a very emotionally needy person, Ben,” he explained.
Ben replied: “Maybe you’re right. But maybe you’ve got the wrong impression of me.”
“I think I’m emotionally needy when I’m in situations where I’m not very comfortable.

Six years, over 121 hours, and now it’s The End.
First and foremost I have to say that as a fan of Lost, having watched it from the very beginning, I was completely satisfied with the ending of Lost. It brought a certain level of cohesiveness to this six year journey that I wasn’t really aware of all the way up to the final episode. It treated me, as a fan, in a kind manner and after all was said and done it let me know that it was Ok to say good-bye to these characters that I’ve followed all this time. It didn’t try to be overly intellectual but at the same time it was still damn smart television.

When "Fable 3" wraps up, presumably on schedule by Thanksgiving, actors Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross and John Cleese will have at least least one Oscar winner joining them in the voice-acting credits. Sir Ben Kingsley of "Ghandi" and "The Wackness" fame has announced his participation, and he sounds enthused.
"I'm a voice in a new video game shortly — 'Fable 3,'" the Academy Award-winning actor told Cvg. "I'm a wonderful wizard character who is the king of Mist Peak."
He also chimed in on the subject of video game voice acting as it relates to film, and it's a trade he believes to be worthy of respect.
"It's very energising and good for us actors to realise that [acting] is so diverse now," Kingsley explained. "[Games] are as big a jump now as I suppose when cinema was invented, when people went from the stage to the cinema thinking: It's not really acting, is it?...
