Has three children, Kendra Fee Lobinger (born in 1995) , Lex Tyger Lobinger (born 22. February 1999) and Okkert Lobinger (born in 2015).

of pole-vaulting" because he has never won important events, but is
more concerned with other things.
Daughter Kendra Fee Lobinger gave birth to his grandchild Fia Lobinger-Onstein in December 2022, only about 2 months before his death.
His best medals were silver at the 1998 European Athletics Championships and the 2006 European Athletics Championships. He won bronze at the 2002 European Championships in Athletics and the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
Lobinger completed a decathlon in 1999 and cleared 5.76 m in the pole vault - a decathlon best for the ten-event contest.
