The following ‘Batman Vs. Terminator’ animated fan-film from Tony Guerrero and Mitchell Hammond has just started making rounds on the internet, illustrating a story that many of us early 90s comic book readers have longed to see. This impressive 5-minute crossover tells the story of the Dark Knight who sets out across the country to meet up with the man determined “to neutralize the electronic menace – John Connor.”
According to Hammond’s blog, the film took four years to make and started as a project to learn animation. Hammond described that making the video was “fun while it lasted. Agonizing, depressing, anxiety-ridden with a gain in asthma and Ibs through paranoia induced fun.” Due to the difficultly he experienced, Hammond went on to say that its unlikely he will create any more videos.

From Mitchell Hammond: "Thirty years have passed since Bruce Wayne survived Skynet's nuclear blasts in August of '97. Iron demons now roam the planet, and without the requirement to defend the innocent against crime and injustice, Wayne has seeked refuge in the bomb shelter that saved his life; the Batcave. Having scavenged the wasteland for resources, he discovers the radio of a dead soldier. There is static over a frequency. Flesh and blood is rising up to the west. With The Stinger; a riot control vehicular unit built before the apocalypse along with a refitted bomb blast vest, Batman makes his way across what remains of the United States to join forces with the man determined to neutralize the electronic menace - John Conner. Original Concept - Tony Guerrero. Original Music - Noir Deco (http://bit.ly/1eeAlvS). Animation/Sound Editing - Mitchell Hammond.

So, this is pretty cool. Animator Mitchell Hammond has created a very cool animated short, simply titled Batman vs. The Terminator, based on a concept Tony Guerrero. Showing the Caped Crusader in similar garb to his The Dark Knight Returns outfit and utilizing a similar tank-like Batmobile, the story takes place in the same universe as that of The Terminator, particularly the future. It's a clever, action-filled short that makes good use of the setting and shows a lot of potential for a...

Say you have to kill the Avengers, make a list – who do you kill first? The regular guy. In this action packed issue, the women in Hawkeye’s life get involved. That’s right, Black Widow, Mockingbird, Spider-Woman and Kate Bishop attempt to tie up all the loose threads that may point to Clint’s secret attacker! But can they find out who’s leading the track suits before they claim another victim? Fans and critics agree – Hawkeye is a smash hit! “This is one of the best life books on the shelf.” – Joshua Yehl, IGN.com “Hawkeye continues to be the standard upon which all great mainstream comics should be judged.” – Kelly Thompson, ComicBookResources.com “It's a combination of humor, action, suspense and pure entertainment that makes me look forward to each and every issue.” – Tony Guerrero, Comicvine.com “[N]o other book looks quite as good, top-to-bottom, as Hawkeye.

On International Women’s Day, Grabigouji: Life of Disappearance, Brigitte Cornand's intimate and haunting portrait of artist and sculptor Louise Bourgeois had its Us premiere on Friday, March 8, at New York's French Institute Alliance Française. It was presented as part of her My Beautiful Women series, which celebrates female artists through film. I met up with her in the theatre before the sneak preview screening for a conversation during the opening reception for Manifesto, featuring artists Ellen Berkenblit, Haley Mellin, Olympia Scarry, Lola Montes Schnabel, & Ena Swansea, co-curated by Vogue Style Editor-at-Large Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis & Tony Guerrero, Director of Visual Arts at Fiaf.
Following our conversation, Robert Storr, Dean of the Yale University School of Art and a former Senior Curator at the Museum of Modern Art introduced the film to a sold-out audience.
