Since the SAG-AFTRA strike began earlier this month, the focus has largely been on how actors have taken to the picket line. But SAG-AFTRA is also the union for thousands of stunt workers, and on Monday, they held a rally of their own to show support to the union.
Per Atlanta News First, the rally took place Monday afternoon in Fayetteville, Georgia, with members of the state’s stunt community coming to protest for wage increases, residual payments, and protections against artificial intelligence.
“We should share in the successes of our employer when their product goes and they make billions with a ‘B.’ Billions of dollars on the backs of the people who do the work,” SAG-AFTRA local president Eric Goins told Atlanta News First.

Episode two of Stargirl starts off where episode one ended, with Pat and his mech-robot bringing Courtney back to the garage for a heart-to-heart talk about the power of the Cosmic Staff. Pat once again denies that Starman was Courtney’s father and forbids her from using the staff again. Courtney walks out on the conversation, but not before telling Pat that he’s the one that failed by giving up when Starman died by not using his powers to help people. Luke Wilson continues to shine in the series as the comedic relief, but also as the man trying to be a father figure to Courtney. The character of Pat comes across as a mix between Ward Cleaver from Leave It To Beaver and Phil Dunphy of Modern Family.

The SAG-AFTRA local in Atlanta is offering its members an election do-over: If they’ve already cast their ballots for board candidates, they can vote again for different candidates.
The unusual move comes after the local’s ruling faction, Union Strong Atlanta (USA), received an unfair and potentially illegal advantage from a local talent agency and from an acting workshop, which had posted campaign materials and promoted the Union Strong slate on their Facebook pages.
Prior to ballots being mailed last month, SAG-aftra’s national election committee informed employers and agents that “federal law prohibits any employer, including employers who are agents, managers, casting directors or producers, from contributing anything of value to candidates for any SAG-aftra elected office. If there is a Department of Labor investigation, the Dol may seek to take statements from candidates and any employers who contributed to them. Further, any such contributions may...

A group of hikers set off for ten days of camping in the remote forest of – I don’t know. Did the movie ever tell us where they were, or could I just not pay attention? Beacon Point is the kind of movie you have to watch in an isolation chamber because even the slightest distraction is more interesting than this hour and a half hiking montage.
However, the film began with promise. Two hunters stalk the forest but are quickly turned to pray by an unseen monster. The scene wasn’t very frightening, it was shot in the daylight and happened very quickly, but at least it had a body count. And this was supposed to be a sci-fi horror movie…right?
