There's a surprising amount of facts you need to know about the galaxy's most mysterious bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
Boba Fett’s masked face has sparked the imagination of Star Wars fans for generations. Despite the fact that he has hardly any screen time across the entire saga and even fewer lines, this Man with No Name-like mercenary remains one of the most popular characters ever created by George Lucas, so much so that Boba Fett basically inspired a whole race of armor-clad warriors that remain a vital part of Star Wars lore today.
With The Mandalorian exploring an armor-clad bounty hunter with a quick trigger finger, the original Mandalorian is ready to rocket back into the public consciousness. Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian isn’t the same character as Boba Fett, though: in fact, Fett’s lineage is rather unusual compared to the rest of the armored humans who bear that moniker.

Some new information has come to light regarding the kind of Boba Fett film we might see from Lucasfilm and director James Mangold. There have been a lot of rumors surrounding the state of the A Star Wars Story films at Lucasfilm, but after Lucasfilm and director Ron Howard addressed those rumors I don't think they are as big of a deal as people are making them out to be. I've sure we'll see plenty more of those films in the future, including Boba Fett.
Thanks to author Daniel Keys Moran, we now might have an idea of what we might see from this Boba Fett movie. You see, he says Disney has reached out to him to tell him they are looking to adapt his book, The Last One Standing: The Tale of Boba Fett. While talking to Star Wars Interviews, he says:

Remember when Alden Ehrenreich let slip that he had actually signed on for three Star Wars movies? Well, we may have identified the next film to follow Solo.
Its name? Boba Fett, the tentative title given to James Mangold’s Anthology pic. Production isn’t likely to begin until 2020, but when Mangold and his team are ready to visit that famous galaxy far, far away, they may be bringing Alden Ehrenreich’s smuggler along for the ride.
That’s according to author Daniel Keys Moran, who revealed that Disney and Lucasfilm have expressed interest in adapting his short story, The Last One Standing, which just so happens to find Boba Fett crossing paths with the great Han Solo. Alas, Moran is no longer sure if James Mangold’s spinoff is a sure thing.
I’ve had a guy at Disney email me a couple times over the years regarding Lucasfilm...

There's been a lot of speculation surrounding the standalone Star Wars films that are being developed by Lucasfilm. It's almost certain that one of these movies is going to center on everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. There has already been a good amount of news sorrounding a movie based on this character and today we have a new one to add to the list.
The Schmoes at Schmoes Know are saying their inside source has confirmed that Empire Strikes Back screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan is in the process of writing the script for the film. A rumor about this started about five months when Metalocalypse director Jon Schnepp said:
.One of them is Boba Fett. It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan..
We later learned that Disney and Lucasfilm were...
