Following the arrest of a man for allegedly raping and impregnating a 10-year-old girl, conservatives are attacking the doctor who treated her for allegedly not reporting the procedure. The Indiana Star reported on Thursday, however, that Dr. Caitlin Bernard did report the procedure. Conservatives simply didn’t bother to actually check up on it before waging their smear campaign, just as they didn’t bother to check up on the facts behind the 10-year-old’s rape and subsequent abortion before alleging it was fake news.

Jailed former football star O.J. Simpson has asked a judge to grant him a retrial over allegations he was badly represented by his former legal team.
Simpson is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence in Nevada following his 2008 conviction for masterminding a heist on two sports memorabilia dealers' hotel room in Las Vegas in 2007.
The 64 year old, who is serving nine to 33 years behind bars, previously lost an appeal against his conviction, but he has now taken on a new lawyer and is hoping to be granted a retrial.
On Tuesday, Simpson's attorney, Patricia Palm, filed paperwork at Clark County District Court in Las Vegas claiming the shamed star was badly let down by the lawyers who previously represented him at trial and deserves to have his case brought back to court.
The case for a retrial will be heard by Clark County District Court Judge Kathleen Delaney in Las Vegas on 3 July, according to the Associated Press.
