Darkest Night is a unique horror film that places American actor DJ Perry smack dab in the middle of a mostly all Filipino cast/crew. Western audiences may embrace a new exotic film experience given a relatable Western lead.” - DJ Perry
Perry's co-stars include Anne Gauthier, Issa Litton, and Nic Campos. The film is written and produced by Russ Williams. For more info visit the official Darkest Night website, and "like" Darkest Night on Facebook.

We return with the latest edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting the recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes news on Herschell Gordon Lewis’s next film, Zombificador, details on a feature-length version of The Little Mermaid short film, a Truth or Dare teaser trailer, and much more:
Feature-Length Version of The Little Mermaid Announced: “The Little Mermaid is a live-action, supernatural thriller set in the 1930s Oklahoma dust bowl. This dark fantasy centers around a sideshow of “living aquatic oddities” in which the Little Mermaid herself is both a captive victim, and an incredibly powerful catalyst. As a character-driven thriller, the film transcends traditional indie “pick ‘em off in the dark one by one” offerings. Impacting each of the ensemble cast in a unique way, this is not the Little Mermaid you remember from your childhood!

We just got word on a new trailer from the Noel Tan directed Filipino film Darkest Night, which will be released in the U.S. later this year. Check it out!
Not sure if that's the title I would have gone with considering the final Batman movie comes out later this year as well, but maybe they'll grab some extra ticket sales when some bumpkins accidentally wander into their film thinking they're about to see the Caped Crusader and Bane duke it out. Hey, every dollar counts, right? The film stars DJ Perry, Anne Gauthier and French Filipina. It also features Issa Litton, Nic Campos, Jill Palencia, Marife Necesito, Zeny Sevilla, Kevin Vitug and Jonas Gruet.
If you like the trailer, be sure to check out the Darkest Night website and the Darkest Night Facebook page.

Darkest Night unfolds in a “found video and documentary” style.
