Released in 2016, The Barn tells the following story:
Its Halloween 1989, best friends Sam and Josh are trying to enjoy what’s left of their final Devil’s Night before graduating high school. But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Now it’s up to Sam...

A couple months ago, we shined a spotlight on the 1984 Stephen King adaptation Children of the Corn for an episode of our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw video series (you can watch that video Here). Now we’re taking a look at the 1992 sequel Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (watch it at This Link) for an episode of The Black Sheep! To hear what we had to say about Children of the Corn II, check out the video embedded above.
Directed by David Price from a screenplay by A.L. Katz and Gilbert Adler, Children of the Corn II has the following synopsis:
The neighboring town of Hemingford has discovered not only the gruesome massacre of Gatlins entire adult population, but also the orphaned children who refused to participate in the human sacrifices. The once quiet Midwestern town is jolted into activity as a barrage of media reporters descend upon it.

A lot has changed in Agents of Shield season 7, not only as a result of the consequences of time travel, but also because of a shift in certain relationship dynamics. May is more emotional; Coulson can handle technology; Daisy is finding love while Simmons has forgotten hers. All of this points towards one conclusion: the team is transitioning to a life beyond the series finale, which means fans will soon have to do the same.
The end of the seven season run of Agents of Shield is comprised of two episodes entitled “The End is at Hand” and “What We’re Fighting For.” Here’s the official synopsis from ABC: “With their backs against the wall and Nathaniel and Sibyl edging ever closer to eliminating Shield from the history books, the agents must rely on their strengths to outsmart and outlast the Chronicoms. This is their most important fight, and...

Agents of Shield Season 7 Episode 11
There are certain narrative advantages to Agents of Shield experiencing a different timeline in its final season. The changes to history can be catastrophic, but even if it’s not all undone, the show is ending anyway, allowing the stakes to be much higher. Fortunately, those cards are being played during a penultimate episode that also features some surprising emotional turns, but it’s nevertheless difficult to see how the series can provide satisfying endings for all of its principal characters.
That doubt springs from Agents of Shield’s necessary but frustrating decision to focus on Kora and Nathaniel in this episode. These characters’ motivations undoubtedly became more clearly defined even though their attempted manipulation of our heroes failed, but with time running out for resolution, reinforcing Nathaniel’s dedication to anarchy or Kora’s rationalization for...

Historical epics are a dime a dozen. Even on an independent budget, they litter the cinematic landscape. So, there needs to be something for one of these efforts to distinguish themselves with. In the case of Robert the Bruce, it’s an attempt to pick up where Braveheart left off. Other films like Outlaw King have tried a similar approach with the character, to varying degrees of success. Here, the result is a bit of a letdown, as the singular focus doesn’t serve the title character well. Now on Digital, it’s an option for those of you who dig these sorts of period pieces, but it’s unlikely to satisfy your craving. The results just aren’t really there for this project. The movie is a period piece/historical epic, centered on the title character, Robert the Bruce (Angus Macfadyen). Specifically, it covers the time after William Wallace’s victories depicted in Braveheart,...

Already eclipsed by James Bond and sexier European films, Paul Newman does his best to energize this derivative but lively spy-chase thriller set during Nobel season, in a Stockholm populated by the glamorous Elke Sommer, Diane Baker, Micheline Presle and Jacqueline Beer. Toss several Hitchcock pictures into a blender, and what comes out is reasonably engaging… and more than a little dated.

Behold, in all his glory, Earth's Mightiest Hero. The one who will save us all. Hail, Graviton and his questionable facial hair! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 Episode 20 featured some great scenes with Talbot and Coulson helplessly watching his friend's descent into madness.
The rest of it, well. Let's just call this one The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Working backwards, starting with the Ugly, we had the infighting by the members of Team Coulson, sans Coulson himself. This played out most obviously in a pair of scenes, one featuring Yo-Yo and Daisy and the other Fitz and Mack.
Let me just say this plainly: getting into physical fights with your colleagues in the middle of a corridor is bad leadership. If either Coulson or the show itself hopes to convince viewers that Daisy is fit to lead S.H.I.E.L.D., they're failing miserably.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this week revealed details about Dr. Fitz’s ominous Project Looking Glass, which ultimately — and perhaps imminently — will serve Aida’s plan to fashion herself a skin-and-blood vessel with which to live on, in our world.
But couldn’t the same technology — whether or not Aida herself ever gets to make use of it — also afford the Framework’s kinder, gentler Grant Ward passage to the “other” side, to stay with Skye aka Daisy?

There’s one character on Agents of Shield whose origin we’re still not 100% sure of and that’s none other than Agent Phil Coulson. On the next episode of the show we may just find that out. Does Coulson regret his initial invitation? And who invited him? Was it Nick Fury? In the Framework he turned it down because he was scared. The scene below from the next episode lays that out as well as shows us the reason Grant Ward is different is because it was Victoria Hand that found him, not John Garrett. While we look forward to this

Composer Bear McCreary says, “I've always adored superheroes and their musical fanfares”, adding, “Collaborating with Marvel, Joss Whedon and his creative team is truly a dream come true. Together, we craft a score each week that I hope measures up to the insanely high standards of Marvel fans around the world.”
The prolific composer's addition to the Whedonverse with Marvel's Agents of Shield was hailed by fans. Yet when the show premiered, to the surprise of many the score itself seemed understated, especially in comparison to more bombastic superhero themes, and especially in light of McCreary's memorably eclectic, unconventional score for Joss Whedon's favourite show, the rebooted Battlestar Galactica. (Not to mention the fact that 'Bear' is an awesome name, so it seems almost a waste for him to write anything less than bombastic.)
Perhaps there's a parallel to be drawn between the music and the (generally) non-superpowered characters.

With Marvel's Agents of Shield returning to the UK for its second season today (at 8pm on Channel 4, and almost certainly available on catch-up services afterwards), it's a perfect time to speculate as to what the new season may have in store for our favourite Marvel-lous Shield-wielding Agents. (No, not Captain America. Sorry. That would be Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Which is awesome.)
Part 1 of this article looked at the question of "What will they become?", applying it to Coulson, and then Part 2 went to on look at May and Ward respectively. Now, Part 3 will look at Skye.

In the first part of this article, we looked at the idea of "What will they become?" and what it represents in terms of the show's commitment to arc-based, character-driven storytelling, as well as applying the question to the character of Coulson. We'll now go on to ask "What will they become?" about each of the show's other five main characters. As before, spoilers for Season 1 follow.
May (Ming-Na Wen)
Season 1 showed us three different sides to Melinda May. The first is Ninja May, an awesome, highly capable Shield operative, who's so concise, efficient, and just plain cool that she's basically a ninja. She's essentially Mulan meets Chuck Norris (because she's played by the same actress as the former, and has a meme-generating quality to rival the latter), and is easily the show's most comic-book character not derived from the comics.

(Cbr) Spoiler Warning: This article contains major spoilers for the freshly aired "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." first season finale, "Beginning of the End," and the show up to this point as a whole. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has reached the finish line for its first season -- and, following last week's renewal news, it's more like a victory lap. Not that Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg's) team look entirely like winners at the outcome of the season finale, "Beginning of the End." Sure, the forces of evil led by a supercharged (and superbly unhinged) John Garrett (Bill Paxton) have been defeated, thanks in part to the intercession of a newly thinking-for-himself Deathlok (J. August Richards) and help from off-the-grid, presumed dead, former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), plus the traitorous Ward (Brett Dalton) is now in custody, thanks...

Team Coulson face off with Garrett and his cronies one last time. Who will win, who will lose? Who survives?
Well, that was one heck of a finale. It was, in fact, the sort of show that I had hoped for way back when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first started. While the showrunners, Jedd Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoan ostensibly wrote this, it had the unmistakable fingerprints of Joss Whedon.
Things start off with John Garrett being crazy, but not just crazy, super-strong crazy, which is always a winning combination. Traitor Boy Ward is not pleased by that turn of events. He’s stoked that his daddy is all healed up and all, but the whole writing on Plexiglas with a nail thing is just disturbing and hey maybe now they can quit Hydra?
Garrett’s like, “Oh, who cares about Hydra? I’m feeling the universe man! It’s super cool!

Spoilers For Last Night’S Episode Below Well, damn, it looks like the writers/producers of “Agents of Shield” weren’t messing around when they said the show was intimately plugged into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe. It looks like the events of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is reverberating throughout the universe — or at least, throughout everything that is “Agents of Shield.” To say that things are coming to a head is an understatement. Essentially every event, every episode before number 17′s “Turn, Turn, Turn” were leading up to this. I have to admit, following up on the massive reveal of Bill Paxton’s Shield agent John Garrett as not just a Hydra sleeper agent, but the elusive Clairvoyant, I had absolutely no idea where the show was going next. And after Garrett was taken down by Coulson and company at the Hub, I expected the final scene of “Turn,...

Who is an ally and who is an enemy on "Marvel's Agents of Shield"? That will be the big question in Season 1's 17th episode, "Turn, Turn, Turn."
Considering it comes out in two days, by now we can tease that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is going to have some game-changing effects on the world of "Marvel's Agents of Shield" (yes, we've seen it, and yes, it's awesome). Once the events of the movie become known, the stakes in this episode will be even higher than anyone previously thought.
Right now the show is implying that agents Melinda May and Victoria Hand are working against Shield, but is Agent John Garrett an enemy as well? The end of this promo sort of implies it, and photos from episode 18, "Providence," show Garrett with Raina and Ian Quinn. Next thing you know, we'll find out FitzSimmons are secretly Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

"Marvel's Agents of Shield" is getting the crossover treatment again in one of its upcoming "Uprising" episodes. To tie into the release of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," at least one episode of the ABC series will be related to the plot of the film.

She continues, "It will heavily affect our characters, I think. Everyone, definitely go see 'Captain America 2' and then you're going to definitely want to watch our show before and after."
Beyond the big "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" crossover,...

(Cbr) Following a month-long hiatus coinciding with the Winter Olympics, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is back with a new episode on ABC tonight, titled "T.A.H.I.T.I." That's not all that's new: The episode also sees the debut of veteran actor Bill Paxton as John Garrett, a S.H.I.E.L.D. field agent who has a long history with Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). One week later, Jaimie Alexander will guest star in her "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World" role of Asgardian warrior Sif, representing one of the strongest unions yet between "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and the Marvel Studios film franchise (beyond Marvel movie mainstay Gregg starring in the show, of course). Paxton and Sif's appearances follow the recent revelation that Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) -- part of the show since the pilot -- is now the show's version of Deathlok, the most famous...

At a visit to the set of "Marvel's Agents of Shield," two major Marvel comics characters were confirmed to be joining the ABC drama. Deathlok and Lorelei's additions were announced by Marvel's Jeph Loeb, with Lorelei joining in episode 15 alongside Lady Sif and Deathlok being the next incarnation of Mike Peterson who is shown in episode 13.
"We've been leaving breadcrumbs along the way. This is a major Marvel character appearing on TV, on film for the first time," Loeb says.
Peterson has been a recurring character in "Agents of Shield" since its premiere, and he went from being a confused lab rat of Centipede to an agent of Shield. After being revealed as alive and sort of well, albeit captured again by Centipede and missing an eye and a leg, at the end of "Seeds," it turns out that J. August Richards' character will now be turned into the cyborg Deathlok.

"Marvel's Agents of Shield" has some big guest stars on tap for the rest of Season 1. Both episode 13 and episode 15 have been announced to have familiar Marvel faces appear in them, while a very recognizable actor will have a multi-episode arc as an agent who used to work with Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson later in the season.
While at the ABC TCA 2014 winter press tour party, Zap2it spoke with leading ladies Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet about the upcoming appearances. With Stan Lee slated for Feb. 4's "Tracks," "Thor: The Dark World's" Jaimie Alexander arriving from Asgard in episode 15 and Bill Paxton soon coming into the fray as Agent John Garrett, there's a lot to be looking forward to.
"Bill is the best person ever. We're a really tight-knit group of people, so it might be intimidating for other guest stars to come on," Bennett gushes about Paxton.
