Exclusive: Channel 5 is revisiting classic UK lifestyle show You Are What You Eat and giving it a contemporary twist by installing presenter Trisha Goddard as host.
The original show broadcast on Channel 4 between 2004 and 2007, with presenter Gillian McKeith helping people improve their diets by, among other things, displaying their weekly intake of food on a table and testing their feces.
Producer Cpl Production will revive these infamous format points for Channel 5, as Goddard teams with Dr Amir Khan (GPs: Behind Closed Doors) and other experts to help people turn their lives around.
Goddard is back on UK screens after a stint in the U.S., where she hosted NBCUniversal syndicated talk show Trisha Goddard. She starred in ITV’s Dancing On Ice last year, and is reportedly in talks to launch a new ITV chat show.
Commenting on the revival of You Are What You Eat, she said:...

After a couple of unsettled weeks, including some of the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in the UK for June, the sun appeared for the opening of the London Indian Film Festival (Liff) on the 20th June 2019. It was a special occasion, with Liff celebrating its tenth anniversary and it stepped up to the occasion with the World Premiere of Article 15 at the Picturehouse Central, nestled just around the corner from Piccadilly Circus in central London.
The red carpet was graced by actors, actresses, directors , and other familiar faces, including of course some of the key people who make Liff happen every year. Festival Director Cary Sawhney was there, as was Dr. Alka Bagri from the Bagri Foundation which is sponsoring Liff for the fifth consecutive year, and Tony Matharu from Integrity International, a regular patron of the Festival.
There was a particular interest centred on those who were collecting awards this year.

Gillian McKeith is to enter the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house. The 'You Are What You Eat' nutritionist, who has earnt the nickname 'Dr Poo' by inspecting people's poop to assess their diet, is set to shake things up in the infamous abode by enforcing a strict ban on sugar, alcohol and cigarettes. A source told The Daily Star newspaper: ''The show will end up being nicknamed Celebrity Bog Brother. ''Gillian is going to cause havoc in there with her rule book. Expect tears, tantrums and walkouts. It is bound to tip some housemates over the edge.'' Gillian's rumoured arrival comes just a week...

Dara O Briain chats to us about tough gigs, writing books, touring, and comedy...
Dara O Briain's latest stand-up show, Crowd Tickler, makes it onto DVD this week, having already enjoyed a digital release. It's an excellent show, and a week or two back - just as the UK leg of his tour was drawing to a close - we got the chance to speak with the man himself about it. Here's how it went...
I caught a really good Ed Byrne gig the other week. And what impressed me about it most is that it's a long time since I've seen a comedian have to battle uphill for a good hour and a half against as dead a crowd as I've seen in a long time.
Really?
Yeah. A Tuesday night in a place you have to drive to. Not a very giving crowd.

Joe Swash has revealed that he'd love to see Paul Gascoigne enter the jungle - but only if he's "mentally on point".
The former King of the Jungle and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Now! host told Digital Spy that he'd love to see Louis Walsh and former footballer Gazza take part as long as the latter is mentally strong enough.
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here 2015 rumours: Who's entering the jungle?
"I'd love to see Louis Walsh going in there," Swash effused. "And Paul Gascoigne - but they have to be really, really mentally on point to enter because it's tough and quite a stressful experience. So if he is mentally on point he'd be a good one."
The sports star has publicly battled with alcoholism and mental health issues since the late 1990s. He - along with the former X Factor judge -...

"It's a disgrace, she should donate her jungle fee to charity!" "Why did she even enter the jungle in the first place?!" "Burn The Witch!" were some of the rather irate reactions to Gemma Collins quitting I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here after just four days in the jungle.
We were also disappointed to discover the news confirmed by ITV this morning - but mainly because Gemma was making us fall about with laughter during her short stay in the Celebrity Slammer.
Even Allo Allo star Vicki Michelle couldn't contain herself when Gemma put tampons up her nostrils to avoid smelling the foul stench of the communal dunny.
Lots of viewers are wondering why Gemma couldn't hack it if Helen Flanagan, who spent most of the time in tears, managed it - or, for that matter, Gillian McKeith - who was mostly hyperventilating or breathing into an oxygen mask during her stay.

"I might become like Bear Grylls, you never know," were Gemma Collins's overly-confident, famous last words as she prepared to enter the jungle on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! last night (November 16).
But alas, as soon as she climbed inside the helicopter preparing to fly her and her group of four to the Celebrity Slammer, she was crying, "I'm s**tting myself," before begging the pilot to stop the chopper and let her out.
"Some people need breaking in gently, do you know what I mean? I cracked at the first hurdle - but it's like the turtle and the slug. Or the horse and the rabbit. The slowest one won in the end."
And when Gemma was dropped off near the camp by car, the reality TV star was effing and blinding her way into the jungle, taking a tumble and threatening, as tears streamed...

Going into I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is a dangerous business.
We're not talking about the poisonous spiders, bitey snakes or what might be lurking in the dunny.
No. When the frightened famous faces leap out of the plane and parachute into the jungle, they are taking their careers in their hands.
And while being on I'm a Celeb can revitalise a flagging career, it can also ruin it if you come out unfavourably during a campside spat or six.
Ahead of the show launching tonight, Digital Spy present our very own Snakes and Ladders. Who had a slippery slide down the public's favour? And who climbed the career ladder when they got to the other side of the rope bridge?
The Ladders
1. Katie Price (and Peter Andre)

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is back tomorrow... and three people who know a lot about the show are its spinoff's hosts Joe Swash, Laura Whitmore and Rob Beckett.
The trio, who have flown to Aus for the next month so that they can pop up on ITV2's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now!, recently sat down with us to chat dream guests, squabbling with each other, annoying celebrities who refuse trials and much much more. So here are 9 things we learned from them!
1. Joe - who has obviously been in the jungle himself - thinks Laura and Rob could handle it.
"Definitely," he said. "I think they'd both do brilliantly. I think they've both seen enough of it to know how it works. I think Laura – all girls sort of struggle with the fact that they've got no makeup or mirrors or hairdryers.

Sinitta with a live lobster in her mouth is never not funny, Lembit Opik sobbing behind bars never fails to raise a smile, and Paul Burrell's eyes bulging with sheer, unadulterated terror... well, we'll let you take another look for yourself.
The official I'm a Celebrity line-up has been confirmed - including Coronation Street's Craig Charles, Towie's Gemma Collins, former footballer Jimmy Bullard and broadcaster Michael Buerk - and the launch date is set for Sunday night (November 16).
So as we wait to see Gemma Collins dining crocodile foreskins or Michael Buerk swallowing a kangaroo anus, we take a look at some of the most terrified (and often funny) faces pulled by petrified celebrities below:
1. Lembit Opik
Poor Lembit Opik began to blub behind bars during the Hell Hole challenge back in 2010. Fair enough, as the former MP had been bitten numerous times by a hungry snake - a young Australian carpet python,...

For we have found some of the most stomach-churning, vomit-inducing and utterly tormenting trials from the history of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.
So as the line-up of stars - officially confirmed by ITV yesterday - prepare to skydive/canoe/sob their way into the jungle on Sunday, they better hope none of these tasks rear their revolting heads again.
From downing pints of pulped crocodile foreskins to taking a bath full of rotten fish guts - here's 9 seriously sick Bushtucker trials below:
1. An Offal mess
Thank goodness we've not invented smell-o-vision - Lucy Pargeter was faced with shiny, pink glistening offal filled to the brim of a limo in the Limo Scream task on the show last year.
The brave soap star managed to successfully secure 10 out of 12 stars during the revolting task,...

Tinchy Strider, Gemma Collins, Melanie Sykes and Michael Buerk (What?) were all confirmed to be taking part in I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this afternoon.
But in a few years, will we even remember them? Unless they pull some Paul Burrell or Gillian McKeith-style stunts, frankly it's unlikely.
Why? Because we completely forgot these 9 big names have been there, done that and swallowed the testicles…
9. Neil Ruddock
Long after Razor stopped playing for Liverpool, but before he was taking part in Celebrity Big Brother, we forgot that he came seventh on the ITV show. He also 'starred' in a recent episode of C5's Can't Pay? We'll Take it Away, in which he had his stuff respossessed by bailiffs. So, unlike most celebs, the jungle didn't prove to be the lowest point in Neil's career.
8. Nigel Havers
Havers was the Buerk of his day. Not just literally,...

I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! was back with a bang last night (November 17) - we've already had tears, trials and, er, tampons. Obviously, it's far too early to judge our new batch of famous faces... but as if that's going to stop us! So join us as we share our snap judgements of the ten jungle rookies and let us know what you think below...
Rebecca Adlington
Rebecca gets instant points for shamelessly fangirling over Kian Egan. Now, sure, this probably made Kian hideously uncomfortable, but her little disappointed noise when she found out they definitely wouldn't be on the same team was amazing.
Even when he beat her at the Bushtucker Trial, she hugged him and called him a legend and thanked him for doing it quickly. If Rebecca has that little composure around a member of Westlife, just imagine what it's going to be like...

"Never heard of 'em!" "I'm a Celebrity... it should be done under the Trade Description Act." "I want to be a celebrity, get me in there, more like."
We hear these same jibes every year when the lineup of jungle celebs is announced by ITV. Considering this is a reality show which has a winners' roll including such illustrious names as Joe Pasquale, Christopher Biggins and Phil Tufnell, it's slightly baffling that some people expect something more than D-listers and Never-Heard-Of-Them glamour models.
This is the show that made Joe Swash. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, this is not.
The 2013 lineup doesn't look like breaking with tradition, including a woman most famous for having a tiff with Katie Price, Big Mo off that EastEnders and Joey Essex as this year's obligatory scripted reality airhead.

It's easy to make fun of Gwyneth Paltrow's nonsense about exercise, food, and inner journeys, but she's laughing all the way to the bank
You might think that early April had been all about one particular towering if divisive figure, one who polarised nations with her extraordinary pronouncements. Love her or hate her, you have to admit, that woman made an impact and that woman is, of course, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paltrow's latest contribution to ameliorating the terrible malnutrition suffered by swaths of the world's population – everyone but Paltrow, in fact – has just been published in the UK under the title It's All Good. And indeed it is, if your approach to food is completely crackpot served up with a hefty side of overprivilege. In short, if you thought Pippa Middleton's book Celebrate read more like an internet parody than an actual book written by an actual person for which publishers paid actual money,...

Director: Jake Schreier; Screenwriter: Christopher D Ford Starring: Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, Liv Tyler, James Marsden, Peter Sarsgaard; Running time: 89 mins; Certificate: 12A
Set "in the near future", Robot & Frank is an admirably understated and mature look at the potential implications of technological advancement that wisely steers clear of any 'robot turns evil' clichés. Jake Schreier's directorial debut is also bolstered by a magnificent lead performance by Frank Langella, although little thought has been spent on the often inadequate characterisation outside of the titular pairing.
The effortlessly emotive and evocative Langella tackles the role of Frank, a retired ex con suffering from dementia whose son Hunter (James Marsden) buys him a 'healthcare aid' robot (voiced by Peter Sarsgaard) to provide him with mental stimulation and physical therapy. "F**k that s**t" is Frank's initial response when the robot turns into a cereal killer, chucking away his favourite breakfast...

Brian Cox. Stephen Fry. Those people who correct plot-holes in any film or show on TV. To some we are the lifeblood of the internet, providing endless reserves of irritation and high horses to climb upon, but we see our devotion to facts as carrying out a valuable service: battling against the all too casual vandalism of science.
Doctor Who has always been a show full of engaging storylines but it’s also one which often summons forth the inner-pedant in some science geeks: much as we love the programme, there are some gratuitous abuses of physics we simply can’t allow to pass without comment. And by comment we mean the shaking of fists and litres of beverages wasted thanks to indignant snorting.
So, which scientific ideas in Doctor Who are possible and which ones are the sign of a script gone mad?
Impossible Concept #5: The Gelth

I could always become an undertaker, threatens Angelina Jolie in an interview revealing her dark side
Now that the United Nations has rightly identified her as the solution to many of the world's most complex and intractable problems, it's easy to forget that Angelina Jolie was once in the provisional wing of the Mad Actors Club. Indeed, she sat on its army council.
Time was you couldn't move for Angelina underscoring her radical credentials in the course of promoting some decidedly corporate cinematic product. There was the studied insistence that bisexuality was both Rude and Something To Bang On About. There was the time she snogged her brother at the Oscars. There was the phial of her then-husband's blood that she liked to remind reporters she was wearing around her neck.
Inevitably, Angelina later commuted the phial of blood to a mere bloody fingerprint in a locket, and thereafter has...

Can the actor ever leave the debauched Withnail behind? Here he tries his hardest with tales of fatherhood, carpentry and being Michael Heseltine
Richard E Grant is used to being a slight disappointment. Since 1985 he's carried the burden of playing the character with whom he's since become synonymous, Withnail, the reprobate, unemployed actor from writer/director Bruce Robinson's generation-defining Withnail and I. Deranged, delusional and dangerous to know, Withnail became an anti-hero for the angry youth of Thatcher's reign. Despite the intervening decades, the impact of his brilliant characterisation is such that you still expect him to come staggering in, bottle of vodka in hand, frock coat flapping and an air of icy malice sending a chill wind round the room.
So it's a bit of a let-down when the lithe, fresh-faced Grant enters the low-key trattoria off Portobello Road that he's chosen for our lunch date. He's anything...

ITV Bosses are reportedly planning to celebrate the show’s tenth anniversary by making an Ultimate Jungle camp and including some of the shows most memorable camp mates.
The channel is keen to run with the all-star concept but it has been reported that they are having a difficult time convincing the personalities, as many have deep issues with other celebrities being considered for the show.
Possible campmates so far include Gillian McKeith, Janice Dickinson and Katie Price, although it it is thought to be very unlikely that Gillian would put herself through that again, after facing every fear a human could possibly have in her brief stay last year.
Other past celebrities have expressed an interest in joining the lineup, but none of them without proviso’s. Kerry Katona has reportedly said that she would be interested in doing it, especially if Peter Andre or Joe Swash take part,...

Gillian McKeith is determined to keep her public profile high and what better way to do that than to land a place on another reality TV show.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ presenter had found herself in a bit of a career wilderness until she joined the lineup for I’m A Celebrity…..Get Me Out Of Here! last year. She may have become hated and reviled but at least she’s being noticed and now she wants to try her hand at another ITV show.
McKeith told The Daily Star:
“I just want people to see the real me and I don’t know if that has come across yet.
“I would definitely be open to doing another reality show.
“Maybe Dancing On Ice. I’m a good dancer and I can skate actually.

Cheryl Cole has been voted as the UK’s top celebrity hero of 2010.
Despite facing a public backlash over controversial decisions she made in her role as ‘X Factor’ judge and mentor – including not taking Gamu Nhengu through to the live finals of the ITV1 show – the brunette beauty was voted by 26 per cent of Brits as hero of the year.
The ‘Promise This’ singer was closely followed by eccentric Brazilian ‘X Factor’ contestant Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho and hilarious ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Ann Widdecombe, who came in joint second place with 19 per cent of the total votes.
However, the reality show duo divided the nation on whether to love or hate them, with eight per cent of the almost 7,000 people questioned in the Virgin Media poll also choosing them as the villains of 2010.

Stacey Solomon’s dad has said that his daughter won the recent series of I’m A Celebrity, because she refused to get involved in any of the camp bitching.
David Solomon, a wedding photographer, said that the X Factor star even defended attention seeking Gillian McKeith when the cameras were off.
He told The Sun:
“She never got involved in any bitching.
“We were talking about Gillian McKeith on the way back from the airport in the car and she stuck up for her.
“She said she was a lovely person.
“She made me very proud. I always expected her to win – but then I expected her to win X Factor.”
David admitted that he never expected his daughter to cope so well with the jungle creepy crawlies.
He added:
“If she saw even a little one she’d go mental.
“She overcame that fear and she didn’t make a fool of herself.

While appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, Gillian McKeith claimed fellow I’m A Celeb contestant Shaun Ryder secretly fancied her and found her “sexy.”
However, while he was in the jungle, Shaun only admitted to having had one fantasy about Gillian, and that of drowning her in the pool.
Nonetheless, Gillian said, “He [Shaun] came up to me at the end and told me that he really liked me and that I was really sexy.
“He has a very nice side. But there is this other side and I think that there’s something about me that triggers something in him that isn’t good.”
Gillian later criticised Alison Hammond for her claims that Gillian’s fainting episodes were faked.

Gillian McKeith has admitted that she Did fake her faints in the jungle.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star – who became notorious for her reluctance to take part in Bushtucker Trials on this year’s ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ – told fellow contestant Alison Hammond she “had to” faint to escape taking part in the gruesome tasks she was subjected to on the ITV1 show.
Alison said: “I’m not an uncaring person, but it was hard not to giggle when Gillian fainted. I was so pleased because it meant we were going to eat.
“But when I told her afterwards that I was glad she fainted, she just said, ‘I had to’. If you want to call that faking it, then so be it.”
The TV presenter – who first shot to fame after appearing in ‘Big Brother’ in 2002 – also confessed she suspected Gillian was making up her many phobias.

Gillian McKeith claims she was “TV gold” during her time in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The TV nutritionist left the ITV1 show on Monday night, with her eviction attracting 10.6 million viewers and since her departure ratings have gone down, something Gillian believes is down to her not being in the jungle.
She said: “I thought ratings would go down now that I’ve gone. Somebody has said that I was TV gold and I think I was.”
Gillian – who fainted twice on the show and had an irrational fear of most things – claims producers gave her little airtime once viewers could no longer vote for her to do Bushtucker Trials.
She added to the Daily Star newspaper: “I think they stopped voting for me when I stopped doing the trials. They didn’t see me enough on the show, so they stopped picking up their phones.
