‘Fighter’ Hrithik Roshan’s Republic Day Releases At The Indian Box Office ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Hrithik Roshan has not tasted success in the post-pandemic era at the Indian box office. He tried his luck with the highly anticipated Vikram Vedha, but the film failed despite receiving good reviews. Now, he’s geared up for Fighter, and it seems that no force would be able to stop him from scoring a commercial success. Why we’re so confident? Well, let’s discuss it below!
Before getting to anything, please note that this film brings back the successful pair of Hrithik and Siddharth Anand. Yes, the duo has never given a flop while working together, and in fact, Hrithik scored his highest-grosser with Sid’s War. This time, too, things are looking favorable, and with no big release in the competition, their third film together is ready to roar at ticket windows.

Deepika Padukone & Hrithik Roshan Came Too Close To Be Paired Together Thrice Before Fighter! ( Photo Credit – Viacom18 Studios / YouTube )
Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have been making people go Omfg with their chemistry in Fighter, and this raised the only obvious question no one had asked before: Why didn’t someone cast them together? Well, it took Bollywood 16 years and a Siddharth Anand to do that job? Like really?
Well, no, that is not the entire truth. After Deepika Padukone made her grand debut with Om Shanti Om in 2007, it took her quite some time to reach the top, and then, one day, she turned a Bhansali muse, and the world saw her in a different light.
As soon as Dp presented her Leela avatar from Ram-Leela looking like a goddess, Bollywood filmmakers were too keen to cast her with the Greek God. The first one to hatch this pair was,...

The latest episode of Koffee with Karan season five has two actors who were the first babies of Karan Johar, as stated by the director/producer at the end of the show. As they walked in, Karan could not stop gushing over the fact that the two actors he’d launched had reached the pinnacle of success and were still striving to do more. The original Student of the Year cast, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan graced the show in this episode, and the entire hour was a hoot.
Recap: Major Highlights Of The Episode
The student-mentor relationship between them was the highlight of the chat show, and Varun Dhawan began by asking if the host Karan would only talk about Alia, even though she was not physically a part of this episode. It was a callback to the backlash Karan received for speaking too much about Alia in the last season.

Talking about their bond and strong friendship, Atul shared: “The way Riteish has supported us in our journey by suggesting our names to makers, we don’t think anyone else could have. I still remember it was between 2010-2011, Riteish used to go and suggest our name to producers and directors. He used to not only suggest our name but also make them hear our music and request that if they think we can do justice to their film, they should collaborate with us. Shamshera
Starring Ranbir & Ranbir Kapoor, Vani Kapoor, Ronit Roy Bose, Irawati Harshe, Sanjay Dutt
Directed by Karan Malhotra
The horses from Raj Khosla’s 1971 hit Mera Gaon Mera Desh are back in business again after many years, admittedly a little tired. But the gallop is still strong. Sadly there is not much here in Shamshera for the horses to trot about. This is a lamentably lame action film with characters who seem to belong to a time when Laxmi Chhaya would tie the hero to the nearest lamppost and sing Maar diya jay ke chhod diya jaye.
Shamshera has its own Laxmi Chhaya. Vaani Kapoor’s gym-trained body(not sure they had gyms in the 18th century) sways sensuously at various villainous celebrations where Ranbir Kapoor robs the rich of their gold to feed the underdogs.
It’s all done in a tone of self-mockery that never quite makes it into the hall of flames.

She added that working with him has helped her become a better actor.
"Working with him has been a very good experience for me. He is normal and humble in his approach. This Bollywood take on the 2011 boxing saga hits home occasionally but sacrifices drama for fight scenes stripped of emotional scar tissue
Bollywood has long eyed up Hollywood for inspiration: since the millennium, it’s remade everything from The Godfather (2008’s Sarkar Raj) tothe David Duchovny heart transplant saga Return to Me (2004’s Dil Ne Jise Apne Kahaa). Fox’s high-profile Brothers forms an interesting case study, reworking material that flopped the first time around: Gavin O’Connor’s Warrior, that 2011 mix of mythology and mixed martial arts that sought to provide rock ’em-sock ’em entertainment to crowds whose credit had been crunched. (Sadly, they couldn’t afford the ticket.) That film was very specifically tied to an America reeling from rounds of foreclosures and lay-offs; removed of that context, the story can’t pack the same punch.

If the start was good, if not phenomenal, there was some good escalation waiting to take place on the rest of the weekend. Saturday was always going to be the key for the film and the Karan Malhotra film managed to cross the 21 crore mark. Sunday didn’t see as many footfalls asSaturday but still did better than Friday, as a result of which around 53 crore* came in once the weekend was through.
In the process, Akshay Kumar has now managed to get his biggest opening weekend after since Rowdy Rathore (48 crore) while Sidharth Malhotra too has gone past his Ek Villain (51 crore) record. Also, records of Akshay’s own this year, Gabbar Is Back (40 crore) and Baby (36 crore – First three days, since it was released on Thursday) are history.
