Looks like Glee has found a legitimate excuse for Chord Overstreet to lose his shirt when Sam returns to McKinley High.
Indeed, Trouty Mouth will get in touch with his spirit animal when he joins the McKinley Synchronized Swim Team — in an effort to win back Mercedes! — according to a show insider.
Look for Sam to have his Esther Williams moment in Episode 10 (airing in January), which will introduce us to a quartet of yet-to-be-cast characters — all of which have the potential to become recurring:
* Coach Roz Washington, for which the show is seeking a well-known comedic character actress in her 30s or 40s.

Title: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil Directed By: Eli Craig Starring: Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, Jesse Moss, Chelan Simmons, Brandon Jay McLaren, Christie Laing, Travis Nelson, Alex Arsenault, Adam Beauchesne In an industry with a tendency to use, reuse and then reuse yet again, a film that defies typical tactics is particularly exciting. In the case of Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, we don’t just get a piece that attempts to purport something new; we get something that takes a common horror movie element, pumps it full of absurdity, blood and even some heart, shakes it up and then hands over the result – a charming spoof that’s...

The second story in the "Caprica: Season 2" series, titled "Prototype," has been posted at Beginning of Line.
The Sundance site has a clip introducing Gun Hill Road that includes some footage with Esai Morales. The first screening is on Monday, January 24.
There are some behind the scenes pics from the set of Off the Map, episode 1x04, "On the Mean Streets of San Miguel," with Eric Stoltz (directing), over at Getty Images. The episode airs on February 2.
Paula Malcomson will guest star on Private Practice in episode 4x14, "Home Again." TV Guide writes that she will play the wife of a convicted killer who is about to be executed. Gotta wonder where that one came from.
Disney has moved up the release date for John Carter of Mars, with Polly Walker. Instead of June 8, 2012, the film will hit theatres on March 9, 2012.

The Caprica Season 1.5 DVD is out this Tuesday (Dec. 21) and you can still pre-order it on Amazon. NBC has sent out copies for review and the first interesting bits about the commentary tracks come from IGN's Eric Goldman; one about plans to have James Callis and Tricia Helfer appear in the second half of season one, and another about one of the Final Five appearing in season two (if the show hadn't been pulled).
If you haven't seen the last five episodes, the general consensus is that they're the best part of the season. For better or worse, the show got a lot more prequelized and the hour that was cut last year can be felt, especially in the last two episodes, but the storylines, characters, dialogue and everything else stayed as frakking inspired as it always has been. Be warned, though. The finale wraps up the most prominent storylines...
