As Emmy nomination voting comes to a close, there’s only one reason “The Leftovers” won’t land any nods: Damon Lindelof started his campaign too late.
On Monday evening, the co-creator and showrunner of “The Leftovers” unveiled an Emmys Fyc campaign on his Instagram page, and made voters an offer they couldn’t refuse. If “The Leftovers” gets nominated for an Emmy, Justin Theroux gets naked.

If the reports from anonymous Gamestop store managers are accurate, a Super Nintendo Classic Mini could be out by Christmas...
The Nes Classic Mini was an ingenious marketing idea - a dinky, plug and play version of Nintendo's beloved 80s console - but it'll probably be remembered by history for one thing: its horrendous scarcity.
One of Christmas 2016's must-have gifts, the Nes Mini sold out within days, prices for the devices on eBay soared to eye-watering levels, and for most of us, the prospect of ever owning one soon faded. (Fun fact: ours got lost in the post.)
Nintendo has since discontinued the Nes Mini, possibly because the firm wanted to make way for its Wii U successor, the Switch, which came out in the spring. All the same, one question has persisted: will Nintendo make a Snes Classic Mini - a similarly tiny version of its 16-bit console,...

2.1 On The Road
God is missing, and Jesse Custer knows it. Now it's up to a lapsed preacher, a criminal, and a drug-addled vampire to track Him down and hold Him accountable for His disappearance. If there's some need for assistance, then maybe Jesse and company will be able to provide it. If God has simply abandoned His creation, then Jesse has sworn to hold Him accountable for the disappearing act. It's a bold claim, and it's going to shape up to be a long, strange journey across the American south.
I have to give a lot of credit to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Our lookback through the screen adaptations of Stephen King brings us to Arnold Schwarzenegger, and The Running Man...
The film: In the totalitarian dystopia of 2017, Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) finds himself wrongly convicted and sent to prison. Recaptured after an escape attempt, he’s placed into a television gameshow called The Running Man, in which prison convicts attempt to stay alive in the Game Zone in order to achieve prizes such as a suspended sentence or even a pardon. However, Richards has links to the Resistance and they’re on hand to assist with his game-changing TV appearance.
To say that The Running Man is a loose adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name, published under his pseudonym Richard Bachman, is something of an understatement. Stephen E. de Souza takes a hacksaw to the original everyman Ben Richards, an unemployed family man desperate...

Could a softer rating have helped Power Rangers gain a wider audience?
While the recent big screen Power Rangers movie was always intended to play to nostalgic fans, according to director Dean Israelite it might not have been able to court a younger audience. Some have speculated the PG-13 rating the film received in the Us - 12A in the UK 0 contributed to only making $85 million in America on its $100 million production budget.
Speaking to Screenrant, Israelite agrees. "Definitely. And not only do I think it, but there’s been market studies on it, and the findings have been that if the movie were rated PG, I don’t want to go into the specific numbers, but if the movie had been rated PG, there would have been more traffic", he said. "I think parents were unsure if they could bring their kids to the movie,...

While X-Men: Dark Phoenix ambitiously tackles an iconic comic story, it will also debut the pop star mutant Dazzler.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix has the potential to become one the biggest redo efforts in cinematic history, after 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand arguably botched its take on the iconic early-1980s 'Dark Phoenix' storyline from the pages of the X-Men comic books. However, it appears that Dark Phoenix will also become the platform for the cinematic debut of a popular Marvel Comics character in Dazzler.
According to EW, the one and only Alison Blaire, better known to the Marvel Comics fandom as Dazzler, is coming to the big screen in the 2018-scheduled X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The character, who debuted in the pages of The Uncanny X-Men in 1980, was initially depicted as a pop disco siren – originally known to get around on roller skates – who also happens to...

Michael Bay's latest Transformers movie is hardly a failure, but its opening weekend suggests a franchise in decline...
As expected, the box office take for Transformers: The Last Knight was notably down on its predecessor across its five day opening in the Us. It brought in $69m of business in America. Across a three-day opening weekend, Transformers: Age Of Extinction had landed $100m, on its way to a $245m Us box office take.
Transformers: The Last Knight will fall short of that, and its box office was down in most territories around the globe. The salvation for Paramount Pictures came with a huge opening in China, where the film snared $123.4m alone. That’s a massive chunk of the movie’s current $196.2m take.
Currently, all totted up, Transformers: The Last Knight’s gross stands at $265m. That’s hardly a failure, it’s just...

The 1969 classic The Italian Job also highlighted the peculiarities of movie studio accounting...
It’s hard to find something close to precise figure when trying to ascertain just how much money the 1969 classic The Italian Job has brought in, but the film is widely regarded as a very successful one, Starring Michael Caine and Noel Coward, and with Peter Collinson directing, the movie was first released in June 1969.
On its original box office run, its receipts were said to be just shy of $10m. The film was a big success, although it struggled to hit in America. In fact, it failed to do so, instead garnering its sizeable support primarily in the UK, and across Europe.
Still, it’s enjoyed theatrical re-releases, a belated tie-in computer game, sizeable sales on VHS and DVD, and at the last count, two remakes. In 2003, F Gary Gray directed the...

Ariana Grande has some time to "Focus" on herself - she and her boyfriend, dancer Ricky Alvarez, have split, People confirms. Neither Grande nor Alvarez has commented on the split yet, but the singer seemingly alluded to their parting in a string of tweets on Saturday, writing "life is wild," then later, "and change is f---ing fantastic." (But the singer may also have been referring to her new bangs.) The fiercely private pair dated for a year but rarely addressed their relationship, save for the occasional Instagram post. Grande did, however, discuss their romance briefly for her May Billboard cover story.

Kayla Itsines changed the fitness world with her Bikini Body Guides, but the Instagram star admitted that she does "regret" the name. Itsines, who has the guides available for purchase on her website, along with a paid workout app, is concerned now that the name implies that there's only one correct type of bikini body. "Do I regret calling my guides Bikini Body? My answer is yes," the 25-year-old tells Bloomberg News. "That's why when I released the app, I called it Sweat With Kayla. Sweat is so empowering, I love that." Words cannot describe this .... #sweattour2016 #rosebowl www.kaylaitsines.
