Before "Revenge" Season 2 finishes its finale this May, one central member of the show's cast will die. The exact identity of the victim is not known, but it will be someone important. Could it be Daniel? Aiden? Emily herself?
We will have to wait until the two-hour finale airs on Sunday, May 12, but we can guess about the dead person's identity in the meantime.
There are only a few clues to go on. TVLine quotes "Revenge creator Mike Kelley as saying the death (which is not a fake-out this time) will be "one of our core cast members." The identity of the victim will be known by the end of the finale -- so we don't have to wait until the next season like we did with Victoria last year.
Finally, there is one more hint: "It'll be a surprise who it is," Kelley said. "It's certainly a surprise to Emily.

Just when you thought we’d seen enough mysterious men from Emily’s past pop back into her life, the addictive ABC drama has added one more for us. We’ve met a lot of men she’s been involved with it, but few who have had any familial ties to her, but that’s going to change when the show introduces Emily’s long lost brother. It’s a classic soap opera move, but Revenge isn’t going to go full soap on us – the man she once called brother has zero blood relation to her. He was simply her foster brother. But that doesn’t explain away his sudden reappearance in her life. What’s caused him to return?
Unfortunately, the nature of Revenge prevents us from scraping up any important details about this new character; someone with potentially a lot of background information on Emily, such as...

Army Wives has added another recurring player as the show revamps itself in its seventh season. Brant Daugherty will appear as a recent West Point graduate and a love interest for one of the new Wives, according to Deadline. If Daugherty looks familiar to you, it might be because he appeared on Days of Our Lives as the guy who had an interest in Sonny just when Will wasn't sure how out he could be on? You know, the guy who made us question our loyalty to WilSon before that story could get going? (Our interview with Brant Daugherty here.)
As pilot season news continues, ABC is adapting another Britcom, this time hiring Rob Corddry to star in an adaptation of Spy, about a single father who accidentally gets hired by the secret service.

Title: In Time Director: Andrew Niccol Starring: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser, Johnny Galecki, Alex Pettyfer, Olivia Wilde, Collins Pennie Once in a while you need a movie that lets you just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Sure, these films can be rather mindless, but spoon-fed entertainment can make for a fun night out. On the other hand, that’s no excuse to take a notable novel premise and never bring it to its intellectual and emotional potential. With highly entertaining and thoughtful movies like Gattaca and The Truman Show on his resume, you’d expect something rather exceptional from writer-director Andrew Niccol. However, with In Time...

Yet Another new trailer for Andrew Niccol‘s forthcoming sci-fi tinged thriller In Time has officially hit the web after footage was screened at San Diego Comic Con and a separate trailer aired last week, making this new ad the third different reel in a fortnight. Perhaps our previous assumption that 20th Century Fox must be extremely pleased with the film as they couldn’t wait to show us more and more footage has now become a concern that maybe they just can’t quite figure out how to market the film to the masses.
This trailer yet again carries a different tone to the previous two but at least is a little better at explaining the plot.
In Time is set in a universe where time is described as ‘currency’ as your aging clock stops at 25. In this world the rich are ‘immortal’, and the poor struggle to live.

It’s always a good sign when a Hollywood studio is so pleased and excited about one of their forthcoming blockbusters that they just can’t wait to show you as much footage from the movie as they can, like a child who has drawn a picture he is proud of and can’t wait to show his mommy what he did. Last week at Comic Con, 20th Century Fox gave us some rather nifty posters along with an extended footage reel which showed us large glimpses at half a dozen different scenes that make up Andrew Niccol’s highly intriguing sci-fi thriller In Time.
They kind of did something similar with X-Men: First Class in the early summer when they got really excited about what they had with that movie (and for the most part, rightfully so) and shoved it down our throats for weeks on end. Despite this...

The fim In Time, directed by Andrew Niccol, has released two new images for our pleasure! Check them out!
Synopsis:
Starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser and Collins Pennie, the film is set in a world where time has become a currency with the rich achieving immortality and never aging past 25. Accused of murder, Will Salas (Timberlake) has to go on the run and takes a hostage (Seyfried) with him until he can figure out how to clear his name, all while trying to bank the minutes he needs to stay alive. In an interesting twist, Wilde will play Will’s mother despite being four years younger than Timberlake (remember, no one ages past 25) with Kartheiser playing Seyfried’s Dad. Meanwhile, Murphy will play a law enforcer known as a “timekeeper” with Pennie, as his right hand man. Sounds like a pretty nifty little genre piece.

Andrew Niccol (“Gattaca”) is presently filming his latest sci-fi film. The project was called “I’m.mortal”, which is just awful, but that has been changed to the overly generic “Now”. The film stars Justin Timberlake, everyone’s favorite member of N’Sync, and Amanda Seyfried, who I can’t come up with a quip for. A photographer recently snapped a few quick pictures from the set. Timberlake is Will, a “rebel from the ghetto” accused of murdering a wealthy man for the time he owns. He takes a girl hostage (Seyfried) and goes on the run, battling against the young-looking society that enforces time as currency. Chasing them are Cillian Murphy and Collins Pennie. Olivia Wilde plays Justin Timberlake’s mother, Vincent Kartheiser plays Amanda Seyfried’s father, and Johnny Galecki is the alcoholic best friend of Timberlake’s character. Timberlake plays a ghetto rebel wrongly accused of murder who is forced to go into hiding with a beautiful and rich hostage (Amanda Seyfried). They soon begin a steamy romance whilst being pursued by a ruthless law enforcement officer (Cillian Murphy).
Wilde joins a cast including Vincent Kartheiser and Collins Pennie. Niccol ("Gattaca," "S1m0ne") directs from a script he wrote and hopes to begin production before the year ends.

Yeah you read the headline correct, the beautiful Olivia Wilde from the TV series House and the upcoming film Tron: Legacy will be playing Justin Timberlakes mother in a new untitled sci-fi thriller being developed by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca). The rest of the cast includes Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser and Collins Pennie.
It's a little weird that she's playing the mom of someone that I beleive is older than her. But it's all explained in the explination of what the film is about.
The story takes place in a future society where, thanks to a scientific breakthrough, no one has to age. Aging stops at 25 and time has become the currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.

Andrew Niccol's upcoming film, which is now temporarily untitled, sounds interesting. It's a Logan's Run-like story about a future society in which time is strictly rationed, and those who want to live beyond a certain point have to pay for their time...or steal it. The film was called I'm.mortal until recently, but that title has been dropped. I understand the appeal -- it's a cute, quirky sci-fi title -- but getting wide audiences to remember a basic title is difficult enough these days. (Sigh.) Better that Niccol and New Regency simplify. There are also some new cast additions, including Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser. Variety notes the addition of Kartheiser as well as of Collins Pennie. That pair joins the already signed leads: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy. Kartheiser will be "the father of Seyfried's character, who is forced to choose between the daughter he...

Allison Strong, Union City, N.J.My boots were made for walkin.' Power walkin', that is. No matter what I'm wearing—boots or sneakers—I'm always headed somewhere and burning rubber while I'm at it. If you thought that after I retired my character shoes last month my power walking—and sometimes power running—days were over, you'd be wrong. All that's changed is the scenery. Now, instead of my former mission of making it to the job on time, I'm walking feverishly to University Hall for two-and-a-half-hour lectures like it's my job. Rather than dodging starry-eyed tourists armed with oversized cameras in Times Square, I'm dodging hazy-eyed college kids armed with backpacks so heavy they could probably squish my toes on my way to the theater building. Oh, and there are trees and dining halls with meal plans, instead of skyscrapers and overpriced delis. It's nice and normal...

Our pop culture-obsessed world can catapult people at any time from obscurity to fame. It could be a flash in the pan or something longer lasting, with timing and circumstance determining someone’s longevity. Actual talent may help but over the last decade has proven to be less and less important.
A movie exploring these themes would be an interesting experience and deserves to be made. The remake of Fame could have been that but chose not to be much of anything instead.
The Alan Parker movie was a product of its times and was an R-rated, tough drama about the difficulties standing in the way of those lucky enough to attend New York’s School of Performing Arts. In addition to their artistic pursuit, it was still high school with academics emphasized since those who did not “make it” had a grounding to help with alternate options. It was a little bit grim,...

Chicago – My general thoughts on “Fame” are best articulated by Joel Hodgson and his robot friends from “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” During their infamous commentary on “Mitchell,” Joel points to one of the young actors on the screen and says, “Hey it’s one of the kids from ‘Fame!’” “Which one?” asks his robotic companion. Joel’s response: “Any of ‘em.”
None of the young stars in director Alan Parker’s 1980 original film have gone on to become household names. Irene Cara came the closest when she won an Oscar for her song in “Flashdance,” but her fame quickly petered out in the mid-80s. Though Parker’s musical drama may have failed as a launching pad for lucrative careers, it did succeed as an unsentimental and thoroughly entertaining depiction of life as an aspiring performing artist.
Blu-Ray Rating: 2.0/5.0

This is what we call a slow news day. Even for a Sunday. But then a casual glance through The Hollywood Reporter yielded some huge sequel news! The sequel to Stomp the Yard has begun shooting in Atlanta! Since I don't think I've ever seen the first Stomp the Yard, I'm going to assume it's the tragic story of an ill-fated cement technician who is killed while paving a new schoolyard, thereby prompting the local dance team to "stomp" that beloved yard and win the fancy cheerleading trophy.

Yesterday, I hopped to my local movie theater, purchased a ticket for the Fame reboot, and began preparing myself for the exciting performances that would soon appear on-screen. After all, these musical numbers would come courtesy of an awesomely talented, young, breakout cast, right? Well...kinda. Though the cast might have been hindered by their own material -- the film paled in comparison to the gritty 1980 version, thanks to a clear effort to make the film more accessible to the High School Musical set -- I left the theater only remembering two names: Naturi Naughton and Collins Pennie. Irene Cara...
