Even though The Office ended its legendary run on NBC 11 years ago, the show remains one of the most renowned and hilarious TV Series. The sitcom show was based on the UK show of the same name, and it was solid enough to become a fan-favorite series when it first aired back in 2005. During the 9 seasons of the show, it created a massive fan following by featuring hilarious situations and how it can repeatedly be watched without the viewer ever getting bored.
The cast of The Office
Indeed, The Office occupies a special place in the sitcom genre. However, fans of the show would be stunned to know that a new series inspired by the 2005 show has been picked up by Peacock and it will not feature the original show’s stars, Steve Carell and John Krasinski.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth are ready to “make it epic” when Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga barrels into cinemas on May 24, 2024! As tickets for the full-throttle prequel become available for pre-order, the final Furiosa trailer explodes onto screens with action, drama, and one particular shot that now makes me curious about an element of the film. I’m talking about the shot of the CGI-enhanced War Boy.
My knee-jerk reaction to the CGI-enhanced War Boy is one of apprehension. How large of a role does this character play in the film, and will their cartoonishness offset an otherwise incredible-looking film? I hope not. One of the more thrilling elements of Miller’s Mad Max series is the visual spectacle, and I worry the CGI-enhanced War Boy could be an “arrow to the knee.” I could be entirely off base, and I’m simply being paranoid for no good reason.

"X-Men '97" has been a dream come true, delivering an even more mature, bold version of the original '90s animated series. Like its predecessor, it directly adapts comic book story arcs, with this show in particular choosing some rather bleak ones.
The season lured us in with the promise of fun nostalgia before shattering that notion with one of the darkest moments in the entire Marvel Studios history with the genocide of mutants in Genosha. This changed everything for the show and for the characters, challenging the very notion of the X-Men, what they stand for, and the legacy of Charles Xavier's work.
But it hasn't all been world-ending threats, the show still has the kind of interpersonal soapy drama fans have always loved from the original. We've got Rogue and (the late) Gambit, Cyclops and the two Jean Greys, with each character in the ensemble getting a chance to shine.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame marked its five-year anniversary on April 30, and composer Alan Silvestri has now explained why he feels one sequence in particular has had such a lasting impact.
We are, of course, referring to the "Portals" scene.
During the climactic battle, Thanos manages to defeat Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America - but Steve Rogers isn't about to stay down. As the Sentinel of Liberty dusts himself off and prepares to fight until his last breath, he hears a familiar "on your left," and turns around to see Black Panther and the others recently-revived heroes assembling through Doctor Strange and Wong's mystical portals.
While speaking to Games Radar, Silvestri said he believes this moment has become so beloved and iconic because of what Rogers had experienced in the build-up.
"The spectacle [of Portals] is ultimately overwhelming, but I think it's emotional because we've never seen every ounce of optimism destroyed in Captain America,...

The first and original Dune live-action movie from 1984, based on Frank Herbert’s novel series of the same name, may not have been as perfect of an adaptation as Denis Villeneuve’s, however, Kyle MacLachlan’s performance as Paul Atreides in it was nothing short of epic. This was perhaps because of his nerdiness and ever-lasting love for the superhit science fiction book series.
Dune (1984).
That being said, MacLachlan obviously had some advice for Timothée Chalamet as well, when he heard that the younger Hollywood heartthrob would be the one replacing him in the iconic role for Villeneueve’s reboot of the saga. As for his thoughts on the Canadian filmmaker? Well, even the 65-year-old MacLachlan couldn’t doubt the 56-year-old director’s talent on the matter!

Natalie Portman is taking a page out of her “Jackie” days and venturing back to the 1960s — this time, to investigate a murder.
The Oscar winner leads Apple TV+ limited series “Lady in the Lake,” based on Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name. “Honey Boy” filmmaker Alma Har’el penned the pilot and will co-write the rest of the series with Dre Ryan (“The Man in the High Castle”); Har’el will also direct.
Portman plays housewife-turned-reporter Maddie Schwartz as she pursues the case of a missing woman named Cleo Sherwood (Moses Ingram), whose body was found in a city park lake. As Cleo’s ghost follows Maddie on her quest to uncover the mystery of her death, the two women’s lives become intertwined. The first-look photo of the series is above.
Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison, and Pruitt Taylor Vince also star.

In Taika Waititi's 2022 film "Thor: Love and Thunder," an emotionally wounded man named Gorr (Christian Bale) has learned that the very real gods of the Marvel universe are selfish, uncaring, and are more interested in cavorting with nymphs and naiads than answering prayers. By happenstance, he comes into possession of a magical sword specifically designed for killing gods and takes on a quest to rid the universe of its living deities. "Love and Thunder" could have brought up some tantalizingly difficult questions about atheism, or the role of faith in the modern world. It could have mentioned the dubious function of gods in a universe that regularly produces superpowered uber-beings. It didn't. Instead, it was a whimsical slapstick comedy starring a hero who, like Homer Simpson, became dumber and dumber as the series progressed.
Partway through "Love and Thunder," Gorr kidnaps the children of Asgard and imprisons them in the Shadow Realm,...

The 2024 action-comedy, The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt as the leading stars made its way to the theaters earlier this month to much fanfare. Packed with stunts, adventure, humor, and romance, the flick has earned its way to the top spot in the audience’s hearts. Also featuring the likes of Winston Duke, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, and Hannah Waddingham as part of its cast, interestingly enough, one behind-the-scenes incident would connect the British actress from the list directly with Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth.
Famed for his staggering physique and command of the screens, the Marvel actor undoubtedly boasts immense versatility, proving it with the upcoming Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga movie. However, the uncanny connection between Waddingham and Hemsworth goes beyond the scope of acting and has much more to do with their nativity to the Australian landscape.

Death is not permanent, not in the Multiversal saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe anyway. Of course, we have mourned the death of the beloved villain turned-hero with a glorious purpose, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki but we got him back with an even more interesting twist— further exploration of the character even without the inherent shadow of his brother, Thor, as depicted in the previous movies in the MCU.
Robert Dowmey Jr. as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
Like Loki’s apparent death, fan-favorite Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man demise was perhaps the saddest part for any MCU fan. There could have always been more from the character but killing him off in the Avengers: Endgame made perfect sense and his death was glorious but with Deadpool & Wolverine, a lot can change.

The first season of “Loki” was the most popular of all the Marvel series to premiere on Disney+, and for good reason: The imaginative world of the Time Variance Authority (Tva) and the core relationships established within it — most notably the warm and hilarious partnership between Tom Hiddleston’s title character and Tva functionary Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) — yielded one of the liveliest and most involving Marvel screen stories since the original “Iron Man.” But as impressive as Season 1 was, it was only a warm-up for the more ambitious, suspenseful, and poignant Season 2, in which Loki finally fulfills a destiny set up for him 13 years ago in the movie “Thor” — though in a way that neither he nor the audience could possibly have predicted.

George R.R. Martin is known for his A Song of Ice and Fire book series, which would become the legendary HBO series Game of Thrones. The writer has been in the business for decades and has contributed his storytelling to multiple franchises, including the Wild Card anthology series of novels as well as the Elden Ring games.

Fans at the time were surprised by an important death in each season and many times the arcs of these characters were not even complete before their demise. The time has come for audiences to start witnessing George Miller’s newest action epic to see if it takes them to Valhalla or leaves them scrounging for food in the desert. The latest installment of the Mad Max saga spins off from Mad Max: Fury Road and sees Anya Taylor-Joy taking up the role from Charlize Theron. It had recently been confirmed that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will also be the franchise’s longest film, with the Cannes Film Festival website confirming its 2 hour and 28 minute runtime. While that means the film is significantly longer (by a half hour) than Fury Road, it’s worth noting that this prequel tells a truly epic tale that takes place over decades. Fury Road only took place over two days.

Has there ever been a more bonkers superhero than Deadpool? Equal parts violent and zany, this lethal mercenary, also known as the "Merc with a Mouth," first appeared in the "New Mutants" comic series in December 1990, albeit as a villain. Created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) went on to star in his own mini-series. He eventually gained notoriety for his dark humor, meta-commentary, and affinity for breaking the fourth wall. Over the years, Deadpool has teamed up with or battled alongside Marvel's hero gallery and has since become one of the brand's most popular characters. In fact, according to Gitnux Marketdata Report, he's the most liked character on Facebook. So take that, Iron Man!

Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man shepherded the MCU in its first three phases, leading the Avengers and being one of the leading heroes that catapulted the franchise to its peak. His journey from an arrogant and flamboyant billionaire to a selfless hero who sacrifices his life for the greater good has made him the most iconic character in the franchise.
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
The actor has played the character over 10 times in the MCU and that is an admirable record. However, another unlikely actor has surpassed Downey Jr. in terms of voicing several MCU characters. X-Men ’97 actor Ross Marquand now holds the record for the most voice roles in the MCU across different formats.

However, there is one film that left a dent in his stellar acting career that too right after he catapulted himself into new heights of stardom. The film is none other than the 2012 film, Red Dawn, which is often called as the most meaningless remake in the history of Hollywood.

Chris Hemsworth and Anna Taylor-Joy posed at the Australian premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga in Sydney on Thursday.
Taylor-Joy stole the show in a spiked-filled gold dress from Paco Rabanne’s spring/summer 1996 collection. Hemsworth wore a plaid suit and a silky black shirt.
They both star in Furiosa, a post-apocalyptic film directed by George Miller, which is the latest installment of the Mad Max series.
On November 22, Hemsworth found out that he has a high risk of Alzheimer’s on the National Geographic series Limitless.
“The idea that I won’t be able to remember to live the life I’ve experienced or my wife, my kids, this is probably my biggest fear,” he said on the show.
Hemsworth is known for his role as Thor in the film series and is the older brother of Liam Hemsworth.

Drifting into the theatres with her car-stunt-heavy Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga on May 24, Anya Taylor-Joy once again brings her versatility and range to the big screen, to captivate her audiences. Playing the younger version of Imperator Furiosa in the Fury Road prequel film, Taylor-Joy proved herself to be a force to be reckoned with.

However, despite performing high-octane stunts and driving at breakneck speeds, Anya Taylor-Joy dropped an ironic anecdote while sitting beside co-star Chris Hemsworth for the EW cover story. Although Taylor-Joy did a convincing performance behind the wheel, the actress admitted to not owning a driver’s license. But fear not, Hemsworth has the perfect plan for her.

There's a case to be made that Chris Hemsworth is the most talented of the Marvel Studios Chrises. He's got great comedic energy and leaned into that with his later performances as Thor (even if he admittedly went overboard in "Thor: Love and Thunder"). His vengeance-driven God of Thunder is the highlight of "Infinity War" too.
He's also making interesting career choices. I'm a Captain America fan, but Chris Evans has not challenged himself as an actor since "Snowpiercer." ("Knives Out" was just him dusting off his pre-Cap screen persona of a cocky a-hole.) Chris Pratt has waltzed his way into being Hollywood's leading voice actor despite his anonymous performances in "The Super Mario Brothers" and soon, "The Garfield Movie." Hemsworth takes paycheck gigs (see: "Extraction" and his voice acting turn as young Optimus Prime in "Transformers: One" this coming Summer), but he shows ambition too. X-Men: The Animated Series has a devoted fanbase, but it's not exactly considered a classic on the same level as, say, Batman: The Animated Series.
Regardless, we all had high expectations heading into X-Men '97 and the Marvel Animation series has absolutely smashed them. Perhaps the best take on these heroes we've ever seen grace the screen, Marvel Studios will have its work cut out when it comes to topping the show with its eventual live-action X-Men reboot.
In this feature, we're exploring what's worked so well in X-Men '97 and how that can translate to theaters. In other words, these are the lessons the next X-Men movie needs to learn from the revival, especially after 20th Century Fox's hit-and-miss (mostly miss) efforts.

When Russo Brothers Almost Quit On Captain America: Civil War (Photo Credit –Instagram/IMDb)
Captain America: Civil War beautifully set the stage in a way for the Avengers: Infinity War. When Tony Stark reveals to Bruce Banner that the Avengers have broken up, Bruce innocently questions him, “Like the Beetles?” It generated a lot of laughs in the theatres, but that might not have been possible if Marvel’s Creative Committee stopped the Russo brothers from pitting Tony and Steve Rogers against each other in the 2016 movie.
Civil War was directed by the director sibling duo Joe Russo and Anthony Russo and featured most of the Avengers. However, Thor and Hulk were not part of the film. Chris Hemsworth wanted to go “mad” years ago, before his Marvel reign had gotten off the ground.
The “Thor” actor revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he actually auditioned to play Mad Max in 2015’s “Fury Road.” Now, he stars in the upcoming prequel film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” playing villain Dementus.
Hemsworth tried to audition for George Miller’s “Fury Road” shortly after parting ways with Australian soap series “Home and Away” but he”couldn’t even get a call or a meeting or anything” about playing Mad Max.
“I just hadn’t done enough to warrant that,” Hemsworth said. And while Tom Hardy landed the part, Hemsworth was even more determined to work with director Miller after watching the completed film…and having had his own career soar thanks to the MCU.

The recent films released by Marvel Studios have suffered a great amount of disappointment due to their box-office failure and negative critical reviews. It seems the trend in the franchise went on the downhill path after 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
There’s no denying that Endgame was the culmination of the stories that fans loved for eleven years. The franchise that started with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and ended with his sacrifice emerged as the second-highest-grossing movie of all time. How can any of the new Marvel films beat that?

Chris Hemsworth embraced his "departure" from being the hero in 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'.The 40-year-old star plays antagonist Dementus in the 'Mad Max' prequel and loved having the chance to be a villain after portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in several movies.Chris told Entertainment Weekly: "It was a real departure, and it was nice... I was about to say it was nice not to wear a cape, but... I did have a cape in this film. And it's red – or it becomes red eventually, as well. The absurdity of that."I found a wonderful departure to it – to play the villain, transform, and inhabit a completely different physicality was a lot of fun. Before I begin, let's just get this out of the way and admit that Marvel's "Thor" and "Furiosa" star Chris Hemsworth is an absolute hunk. I don't know what's in the water in Australia, but all variants of the Brothers Hemsworth are all dreamboats in their own way. Chris in particular looks like what happens when a 10-year-old makes a custom character in a superhero video game, which is why so many people were shocked to see his face transformed with prosthetics to play Dementus in "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga."
His luscious locks were now matted with dust and filth, his facial bone structure was thickened to give him a more historical Roman look, and his megawatt smile now showed the wear and tear of living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Don't get me wrong, Hemsworth can obviously still get it and this character will undoubtedly join Walton Goggins' Ghoul...

Chris Hemsworth is totally unrecognizable in his makeup and costumes in George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The actor spent hours in the makeup chair each day, even donning a prosthetic nose and transforming himself into Dr. Dementus. The loud villain is far different from his Marvel character Thor, however, Hemsworth can’t seem to shake off one choice of attire for both roles. His Furiosa character also has to wear a cape, which he finds so impractical.
Chris Hemsworth was forced to wear a cape for his role as Dr. Dementus in Furiosa
Hemsworth grew up watching Mel Gibson’s original Mad Max movies and even desired to take over when Gibson moved on from the franchise. While the lead role in Fury Road eventually went to Tom Hardy, Miller was struck by Hemsworth when he auditioned him for the role of Dementus.

Without question, one of the most anticipated movies of the summer is "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga." Serving as a prequel to 2015's action masterpiece "Mad Max: Fury Road," director George Miller is finally back nearly a decade later to deliver the long-promised fifth entry in his legendary franchise. This time around, we have a familiar hero in Furiosa, now played by Anya Taylor-Joy ("The Queen's Gambit"), facing off against a new villain in Dementus, played by Chris Hemsworth ("Thor"). For Hemsworth, in particular, playing the villain in the latest "Mad Max" film was a scary prospect.
In a new cover story for Entertainment Weekly, Hemsworth revealed that he felt some trepidation in taking on the role. The actor, who has played Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for nearly 15 years, explained that it "scared the s*** out of me." Why would one of the biggest stars in the world...

So, it is unsurprising that one of the first things people look for in games is combat mechanics. How smooth is it? How responsive are the combat controls? These are the questions that keep getting asked in community forums. But what of the amount of violence? Can violence even be quantified?

We're used to seeing Chris Hemsworth kicking butt in the MCU as Thor, but in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the actor will get to show a new side of himself as the twisted Dementus.
However, while these characters couldn't be any different, there's one thing they do have in common: a cape!
"It was a real departure, and it was nice...I was about to say it was nice not to wear a cape, but I did have a cape in this film," Hemsworth tells Entertainment Weekly. "And it's red - or it becomes red eventually, as well. The absurdity of that."
"There's a whole lot of rules that you have to stick to [with superhero films]," the actor continued. "It's not intentional to be a comparison of Thor, but I found a wonderful departure to it. To play the villain, transform, and inhabit a completely different physicality was a lot of fun.

Robert Downey Jr. is standing by his friend and costar Chris Hemsworth.
The Marvel actors brought Iron Man and Thor, respectively to life in the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe for years. Their fate moving forward is less clear.
In a new interview, Chris admitted that it was sometimes frustrating playing Marvel’s god of thunder, saying that his character felt less dimensional than the other heroes.
“Sometimes I felt like a security guard for the team,” he reflected. “I would read everyone else’s lines, and go, Oh, they got way cooler stuff. They’re having more fun. What’s my character doing? It was always about, ‘You’ve got the wig on. You’ve got the muscles. You’ve got the costume. Where’s the lighting?’ Yeah, I’m part of this big thing, but I’m probably pretty replaceable.”
Robert was not having it.

Chris Hemsworth is quite happy about not playing the hero in George Miller’s upcoming “Mad Max: Fury Road” prequel movie “Furiosa.” The action tentpole casts Hemsworth as the villainous Dementus, a sociopathic warlord who steals the title character from her home as a child. It’s a far cry from his Marvel superhero Thor, who Hemsworth has played in four standalone movies and several more “Avengers” films. That’s precisely why the actor was hungry for the part.

It won’t be wrong to say that Thor’s role is Chris Hemsworth’s magnum opus. The Norse god was one of Marvel’s original team of Avengers, even forming a part of the team that took on Loki and the Chitauri in the Battle of New York.
He’s been one of the mainstays in the Industry. No wonder that he felt sad with giving his faithfuls an experience to forget in Thor: Love and Thunder. The 2022 flick failed to build on the success of Thor: Ragnarok, one of the Men in Black: International star’s biggest regret. But there is another role that gave him a lot of headache.

The first issue of Marvel Comics' latest event series, Blood Hunt, hit stands today. However, it wasn't what we expected from a comic that's mostly promised to pit Earth's Mightiest Heroes against a seemingly endless vampire hoard.
It begins with the world's Darkforce users being turned into portals which have blocked out the sun across the globe. With that, vampires emerge from the shadows, feeding on humans and turning countless others.
The Avengers attempt to fend them off and, after he asks Miles Morales/Spider-Man for a favour, Blade reaches out to them with the promise of information capable of helping turn the tide. However, when his truck is teleported to their base, a group of ultra-vampires known as the Bloodcoven emerge instead.

Robert Downey Jr. won’t accept Chris Hemsworth’s gripes over Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As part of Hemsworth’s recent Vanity Fair cover story, the Thor star revealed he grew frustrated playing the Asgardian hero across four standalone movies and several more “Avengers” films.
“Sometimes I felt like a security guard for the team,” Hemsworth admitted. “I would read everyone else’s lines, and go, ‘Oh, they got way cooler stuff. They’re having more fun. What’s my character doing?’ It was always about, ‘You’ve got the wig on. You’ve got the muscles. You’ve got the costume. He'd go on to star in The Hunger Games movies, famously dated Miley Cyrus, and is now gearing up to take over from Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in the final two seasons of The Witcher.
Chris, now a major movie star with several franchises to his name, has opened up on both his and Liam's attempts to be cast as Thor, revealing that while they both auditioned, they were never going up against each other simultaneously.
