With a hot new single on the airwaves and a tour under way, Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick – the frontman of pop band Fitz & the Tantrums – is flying high.
“I make music to have people hear it,” Fitzpatrick tells People in this week’s issue. “I want it to reach as many people and then we go out on tour, and every night I’m like ‘Is anybody actually gonna show up?’ Then I look out and there’s 5,000 people out there to see us, and I come out on stage and they all know the songs.”
He says, “It’s the dream – that’s everything.

Spotted those shiny boxed horror movies in your local Tesco? Craig's watched them. All of them.
There's a certain type of horror film fan who enjoys a challenge. Perhaps they like a sense of adventure with their films. Perhaps there's also an element of gambling. It starts small. Low odds. For example, they might buy a boxset of the Alien Quadrilogy. Four seemingly reasonable films but there's an element of both chance and endurance. Can you sit through nearly eight hours of Alien films? And, if you can, how many of them will you like? Eventually not only does the thrill become harder to chase as the product's effect gets weaker (anyone who's bought Hellraiser boxsets will know the rules of diminishing returns) but there are only a finite number of franchises in the world and the hardened need to find new, strange ways of getting their kicks.
So bear with me.

Cast: Kaylee DeFer, Elisabeth Röhm, Christian Campbell and Tobias Segal. Darkroom is an indie thriller from writer Michaelbrent Collings and Britt Napier. This is Collings second horrorish screenplay and Napier's first time as director on a feature film. Darkroom stars Kaylee DeFer as Michelle, a woman trapped by her past and also trapped by several malefactors. Told with mystery, this film has a very compelling story, which develops both the protagonist and three antagonists. Darkroom is one of the more satisfying indie features this viewer has seen this year. The story begins, but does not end, with Michelle. She is in rehab, after a devastating car accident. Three of her friends were burned alive in the wreck and she was the only one who survived. Now,...

Director Britt Napier's Darkroom was revealed late in 2012. Here, the film attended the American Film Market and a trailer was released. This year, the film has secured a distribution date for the film in Canada and the USA, through Phase 4 Films. The film's DVD artwork is hosted here. And, the film stars Kaylee DeFer ("Gossip Girl"), Elisabeth Röhm ("Law & Order") and Christian Campbell ("Big Love"). The film's story is one of tragedy. Michelle (DeFer), the protagonist, is recovering from a horrible car accident, that left three of her friends dead. She was under the influence of alcohol. After rehab, Michelle takes a strange job at a photo shoot, but the photographer has lured her to an isolated locale for more dubious reasons. Fans of horror can mark their calendars for January 28th, 2014. This is the date that Darkroom will be released. This mysterious tale also has a trailer,...

When The CW's teen drama Gossip Girl leapt onto television screens in 2007, it served the purpose indicated by its title. Simply put, it made millions of girls gossip. The chief, but not sole, demographic was high school females, who buzzed about the "scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite." The program, based on a Cecily von Ziegesar's bestselling book series of the same name, revolved around the privileged prep school students on the Upper East Side, and the titular character -- an omniscient, anonymous blogger who chronicles their very public lives. The show's stars -- notably Blake Lively -- skyrocketed to fame.
Now in its sixth and final season, Gossip Girl has, most would admit, fallen from grace. While it was never a lauded Emmy-winning series, even devoted fans note the superiority of the scandal depicted in the first two seasons, when the characters were in their final years of private high school.

As Serena & Dan's flirtation heats up, Blair crumbles under her mother's demands, while Chuck enlists the help of Nate & Ivy to find evidence of Bart's crimes. Last week, Nate made plans to publish Dan's book word-for-word, without any warning to those it may hurt; Nate's girlfriend Sage was out to get Serena; and Blair was trying to create a new collection within a week. Tonight, all that drama finally unraveled. While Blair (Leighton Meester) made last-minute preparations for her fashion show on the Oct. 22 episode of Gossip Girl, Steven (Barry Watson) considered taking a break from Serena (Blake Lively) until he could handle things going on with Sage. Serena insists that she speak with Sage and try and get through to her. Nate took the next step with Dan (Penn Badgley), uploading his second novel to the NY Spectator, which obviously became a huge hit. Within minutes of the book publishing — while Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) were still in the middle of Dtr-ing — the two found out that Dan knows all about them.

The CW has announced that this will be the last season of Gossip Girl so, for the first time in the show's history, the ratings don't matter very much. How many people will tune in to say goodbye to Serena and friends? We'll find out as the final season progresses.
The sixth season of Gossip Girl typically airs on Monday nights on The CW network. There are just 10 episodes. The cast includes Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Kaylee DeFer, Kelly Rutherford, and Matthew Settle.
Here are the TV show's ratings for the 2012-13 season, ordinarily the best way to tell if Gossip Girl would be cancelled or renewed for another season.

The final season of Gossip Girl is nearly upon us and it looks like it's going to be a scandalous one. You'll recall that Serena disappeared at the end of season 5. When the show picks up again, she'll still be Mia. That is, until her frienemies band together, track her down, and find her living a double life. She's hooked up with a wealthy man and isn't keen on bringing her former identity of Serena van der Woodsen into play.
Meanwhile, Blair and Chuck have found their way back to one another...and, apparently, some great sex. Georgina is sticking around for this shortened season, determined, we're sure, to stir up more trouble. Here's what The CW has to say about the new season:
Season six opens with the Upper East Siders working together to find one of their own. Serena (Blake Lively) has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl.

Plus, Kaylee DeFer tells HollywoodLife.com whether or not Ivy will return for the final season of 'Gossip Girl.' Gossip Girl star Kaylee DeFer, 28, exclusively revealed to HollywoodLife.com what she thinks about Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair's (Leighton Meester) fate in the upcoming final season — and she said it's looking good! We caught up with her June 25 at the screening of Millennium Entertainment’s Red Lights hosted by The Peggy Siegal Company in NYC, where she told us exactly what we wanted to hear. "I hope so," Kaylee said. "I think that they have to, right?" We completely agree! The Only way to end the final season of Gossip Girl is with Chair's happily ever after. We also asked Kaylee if her deceptive character Ivy Dickens will be back for the final season, and she is! (Bring on the drama!) The way season five ended, it looked like...

"Gossip Girl" is just one week away from its season finale. But before we get there, a number of issues still need to be resolved.
Here's what we learned on Monday's (May 7) episode...
[Spoiler Alert]
Chuck and his dad: When Chuck (Ed Westwick) learns that his father isn't really dead after all, he enlists the help of Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) to help protect him. While it starts off working as planned, things get hairy when Lola (Ella Rae Peck) gets in the way. Things get even harrier when the ever-scheming Blair (Leighton Meester) comes up with a plan that puts Lola and Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) in harms way. Fortunately, everything works out well...that is except for one person.
Dan and Blair: Dan (Penn Badgley) is starting to act especially needy as it relates to Blair. Concerned that she might get back together with Chuck, Dan invites Blair to spend the...

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Chuck Learns the Truth (Sneak Peek)
Gossip Girl ended last week with a pretty huge reveal that was pure soap opera; a character believed to be dead was anything but and tonight's episode deals with the aftermath of this huge news. Yep that's right Bart Bass (Robert John Burke) is very much alive and didn't die in the car crash way back in season 2 as we were led to believe. Chuck (Ed Westwick) is obviously the character who is most affected by this bombshell; will he turn to Blair for help again?
Tonight we will find out why Bart faked his death and hasn't been in contact with his son. As you can see from the producer's preview below the car crash was real but it was no accident and there was a real threat to Bart's life. It will be hard for Chuck to...

Gossip Girl Preview: Blair Helps Chuck After The Big Bombshell
The big scheme to find out the truth about Chuck's (Ed Westwick) father on Gossip Girl revealed a familiar face behind a door that Chuck believed to be impossible and is likely to have devastating results. Though Chuck and Blair (Leighton Meester) fans that were happy to see the pair scheming together will be excited to see that this will continue with next week's penultimate episode.
In this week's Gossip Girl the day planner that Nate (Chace Crawford) stole from Diana (Elizabeth Hurley) became the vital tool in the big scheme to find out exactly who Chuck's real parents are. The planner however was written in code and so Chuck calls upon the best schemer he knows; Blair. Meanwhile Lola (Ella Rae Peck) has finally convinced Nate that Serena (Blake Lively) is indeed the current incarnation of Gossip Girl. Lola...

The Upper East Side is still reeling from the news that Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) is Chuck's (Ed Westwick) mother. But as has always been the case with "Gossip Girl," things are not necessarily as they seem. Here's what we learned on Monday's (April 23) episode...

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Blair is Back to Scheming
Gossip Girl is often about grand schemes and manipulations and Blair (Leighton Meester) was once the master of this area. Recently Blair has had more on her mind including royal weddings and royal divorce; will tonight see Blair returning to these old ways? Blair is not the only one who needs to resolve an issue as Lily (Kelly Rutherford) is still trying to protect the reputation of her family and Nate (Chace Crawford) is intrigued as to where Diana (Elizabeth Hurley) gets her money from.
In the producers preview (which you can view below) we are promised 'vintage Blair' thanks to something that is written about her in a magazine. Blair normally delights in reading these magazines and says "I love reading bad things about my friends, it's the only thing that makes me feel better about myself." Tonight she...

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Dan and Blair Go Public (Sneak Peek)
Blair (Leighton Meester) and Dan (Penn Badgley) have been a couple for a few weeks on Gossip Girl and now that Blair has her divorce papers they can step out as an official item. Not to be one to go all bashful Blair of course wants to announce this in a big way and this becomes the setting for the weekly Gossip Girl event, an event that will see some drama of course.
Blair is free from her royal shackles (that didn't actually seem that bad as she's been swanning around New York since the wedding) and so this 'coming out' event begins as an exercise in revelling in Blair's freedom. As you can see from the sneak peek below, Blair is essentially making plans that are perfect for her without taking into account any of Dan's tastes.

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Elizabeth Hurley Returns
Scheming and manipulation are two elements that you can always guarantee to find on Gossip Girl; Elizabeth Hurley returns tonight as Diana Payne to use both of these methods to snatch back The Spectator from Nate (Chace Crawford). Serena (Blake Lively) is also trying to figure out how to balance her regular life with her new role as Gossip Girl and it looks like Lola (Ella Rae Peck) might be the person to help. Chuck (Ed Westwick) is looking to his past after discovering that it wasn't Jack (Desmond Harrington) that saved his life after the car accident; will he find the truth?
Diana is a confident woman who has used her sexuality in the past to manipulate a situation to get what she wants and as you can see in the producers preview Diana knows that sex sells. To show that...

"Gossip Girl" gets a much-needed infusion of excitement when Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) returns to the show on Monday (April 9). The question is how happy is Nate (Chace Crawford) that she's coming back?
In a preview with show producers, we see that Diana is ready to reclaim her mantle as the head of the struggling NY Spectator. Her first item of business is to make sure that everyone realizes that sex sells. So she hosts an underwear party. Nothing like having a bunch of good looking people running around in next to nothing to help sell papers. But will this involve Diana running around in her underwear with Nate as well?
At the same time, Serena's (Blake Lively) not having any fun running Gossip Girl because she doesn't like writing about herself. So she decides to make Lola (Ella Rae Peck) the new "It Girl." This apparently fits in nicely...

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Season 5, Episode 18 of The CW's "Gossip Girl," entitled "Con Heir."
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and in the case of this week's "Gossip Girl," I actually found that old adage to be true. While recent episodes have stumbled blindly from one plot contrivance to the next with little logic to connect them, the show's April 2 return, "Con Heir," seemed shockingly coherent. True to form, there were schemes, lies and highly public familial spats, which is pretty much 90 percent of what we tune in for, no?
Of course, your overall enjoyment of the episode may have hinged on whether you're wholly invested in seeing the Dan/Blair love affair play out after years of delayed gratification, or whether their copious attempts to copulate had you tossing your Chuck/Blair-loving cookies in a fit of rage. If you fall into the latter category,...

Apparently there was a "Gossip Girl" episode on Monday (April 2). But you'd never know it based on the overall lack of activity. Here's a quick recap of what you missed, although we must warn you it wasn't much.
[Spoiler Alert]
Dan (Leighton Meester) and Blair (Leighton Meester) - The new lovers struggle to consummate their relationship. After too many interruptions, they head off to a hotel and attempt to close the deal. But the pressure initially proves too much for the two of them. Luckily they get sauced later on and give it another go. That's when things turn out just right, with a combined Bac of .32.
Ivy's (Kaylee DeFer) inheritance - In what's probably dangerously close to entrapment, William (William Baldwin) encourages Ivy to throw a party honoring CeCe. But the gig is all based on a scheme to get Ivy to compensate the will executor, which apparently is a legal no no.

After years of waiting, the Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester) experiment is about to begin in earnest on Monday's (April 2) episode of "Gossip Girl." But according to Ep Josh Safran, it's going to be far from smooth sailing.
Safran explains that the two will struggle not only with the physical part of their new partnership but also with the emotional part.
"It's a new kind of relationship for Blair. She's never dated a friend before," Safran says. "And here Dan has become one of Blair's best friends, so that's obviously a new dynamic for her."
But it's not just Blair who will have problems with this new romance. Dan seems to have some difficulties with what this means now that he's finally gotten his dream girl.
Safran explains that Lonely Boy will have to deal with "all those expectations he's had and what he hoped it would be.

After a little bit of an early Spring Break, "Gossip Girl" will return with new episodes on Monday (April 2). And it looks like the party will just be getting started.
In a preview video with producers, we learn a little bit about each of the storylines that will be emerging in the new episode. The most notable item for fans of the Dan (Penn Badgley)/Blair (Leighton Meester) pairing is that the two want to consummate their relationship, but this proves easier said than done. It also creates quite an embarrassing situation at one point for Blair. That said, we're pretty certain they'll find that practice makes perfect.
As for Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) and her inheritance, this should be quite the enjoyable segment. Nothing like watching people scheme (or maybe even grovel) to get back what they believe to be rightfully theirs. We're guessing that Ivy has learned enough manipulation...
