The series stars Cierra Ramirez, Tommy Martinez, Emma Hunton, Sherry Cola, Zuri Adele, Josh Pence, Bryan Craig, and Booboo Stewart. It features characters first seen in The Fosters. Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the series finale of Freeform’s Good Trouble.
Good Trouble has officially taken its final bow.
The Freeform series ended Tuesday night after five seasons, concluding more than a decade of television telling the stories of the Adams-Foster family and those closest to them. In some ways, Good Trouble ended exactly how it began — with Callie and Mariana.
Maia Mitchell rejoined Cierra Ramirez one last time for the finale, in which the residents of The Coterie find out the building is being sold and they’ll all need to move out. As they gather for a final Coterie dinner and rooftop hang, everyone reminisces on all they’ve gone through together. Callie and Mariana certainly have more than their fair share of trials, tribulations, and celebrations to reflect on.
“They’ve been working together for over 10 years, since they were 17 and 19,” showrunner and...

U.S. director and producer Robert Rippberger, who recently wrapped sci-fi thriller “Renner” with Frankie Muniz, is headed to the European Film Market in Berlin to launch the sales unit of his banner Sie Films. Its slate will be fronted by his next project, the horror thriller “Monstrosity.”
“Monstrosity,” which is currently in pre-production, is a creature feature that Rippberger will produce and direct. To create its titular monsters, Rippberger recruited concept artist Aaron Sims, whose work includes “Stranger Things,” “Ready Player One” and “Wonder Woman 1984.” Production on the film is expected to kick off later this year in one of the Morgan International full-service special effects facilities in Europe. Writer Sabir Pirzada is producing “Monstrosity” alongside Rippberger.
“Monstrosity” opens on a young village boy who goes missing down a mine shaft. His father blames a strange family in the neighboring house, but of course far more is at play.

A Complete Guide to the Best Grinch Movies and TV Shows Out There(Photo Credit –IMDb)
The grumpy Grinch, known for his dislike of all things Christmas, has always been a staple of mainstream media during the holidays, thanks to Dr. Suess’s children’s book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” But it’s the young adults of this generation that relate to this green goblin more than children do. He’s a mean-spirited, cynical, and sarcastic creature who just does not get the appeal of Christmas. He doesn’t enjoy the racket that Christmas causes and prefers to be in a quiet, peaceful place instead. But when the folks of Whoville go too far with their festivities, he vows to destroy Christmas once and for all.
The Grinch is undeniably fascinating. There have been multiple adaptations of him across the film industry centering around the premise of him trying to ruin Christmas.

The end has come for Freeform series Cruel Summer and Good Trouble. The Disney-owned cable net has canceled Cruel Summer after two seasons and Good Trouble will end with the second half of its upcoming fifth season, Deadline has confirmed.
We hear Good Trouble will be given the opportunity to film some additional scenes for a supersized series finale episode to properly wrap up the series. Season 5B premieres on January 2.
The series were Freeform’s last remaining scripted originals following the November cancellation of animated comedy Praise Petey.

Freeform’s future in scripted original programming is going under the microscope.
The Disney-owned basic-cable network has canceled Cruel Summer after a two-season run and will conclude Good Trouble with the second half of its upcoming fifth season.
Good Trouble, a spinoff of The Fosters, joins Grown-ish in wrapping their runs on the younger-skewing cabler in 2024. Anthology Cruel Summer and Good Trouble were Freeform’s last remaining scripted originals following the November cancellation of animated comedy Praise Petey.
Sources say Freeform executives, led by executive vp programming and content strategy Simran Sethi, wanted to bring back both shows but the ratings for both Good Trouble and Cruel Summer didn’t justify the costs of doing so — especially as Disney looks to cut costs by another $2 billion — and as most viewers watch the network’s programming on Hulu.

One cannot understate the popularity of Ron Howard's over-designed 2000 winter holiday film "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Although made for an exorbitant budget of $123 million, "Grinch" would earn over $345 million worldwide and become a Christmastime staple in many a home. This despite being a bloated, 105-minute expansion of a 1957 Dr. Seuss picture book that was only 64 pages.
Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" was previously adapted into a 25-minute TV special in 1966, which itself garnered animated follow-ups in 1977 and 1982. Since 2000, the book was also made into a 2007 stage musical, a 2018 animated film called merely "The Grinch," and a 2020 filmed version of the stage production. 2022 also saw the release of a horror spoof of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" called "The Mean One."
This is all in addition to an unending deluge of Grinch-themed merchandise that floods malls every winter holiday season. The merch, some might say,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 5 premiere of Freeform’s Good Trouble.
Maia Mitchell has returned to The Coterie — but not under happy circumstances. The Season 5 premiere of Good Trouble ends with Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Callie reuniting in their old shared bedroom at the co-living space after Mariana spent the night at the hospital with her former flame (and boss) Evan Speck.
The episode picked up right where Season 4 left off, with Mariana trying to escape from a cult while saving Joaquin’s sister, Jenna. Joaquin (Bryan Craig) was tipped off that Mariana was missing by a concerned Evan (T.J. Linnard), who tags along to rescue the women. In the opening minutes of the episode, someone fires a gun in an attempt to stop the group from escaping, and the bullet hits Evan in the chest.
They rush him to the hospital, where Mariana spends the night with him.

Some partnerships are truly thriving, and others are facing some serious tests.
Mariana and Joaquin continue to have a fun chemistry that works well as both a casual sex vibe and true sleuth buddies on Good Trouble Season 4 Episode 11.
Meanwhile, Isabella and Gael's relationship is constantly under strain or stress.
But first, let the record show, if it hasn't been abundantly clear already, that my whole heart belongs to Luca, and every second we spend with him is cherishable.
The series has always dealt with several topics and done so well. The show has had a string of compelling characters across its tenure. Luca is definitely one of them who grabs your heart and soul instantly.
You root for him so much, and it should've been obvious that someone who routinely expresses how hard it is to open up and trust good things would still have such reservations about his new place at the Coterie.

Joaquin has finally tracked down his sister, Jenna, but she bolted to avoid him, and a new mystery of what she's involved in will be explored.
Dennis and Davia are still circling around each other, but things may grow more complicated when Dennis gets involved with someone new. And Mariana is finally thriving in her work life, but her romantic...

"I feel like everybody knew him except me." HBO has unveiled an official trailer for an indie film titled My Dead Dad, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Fabio Frey. It's co-written and produced by Pedro Correa, who also stars in it as the main character. It premiered at the 2021 Woodstock Film Festival last year, and screened at numerous other fests including Austin, Mill Valley, and Filmocracy Fest where it won the Audience Award. A burnout discovers his estranged father has died, leaving him the responsibility of managing an apartment complex. With hopes of cutting ties, he's forced to grow up, learning about the dad he never knew through the eclectic tenants. Starring Pedro Correa with Raymond Cruz, Courtney Dietz, Simon Rex, Booboo Stewart, Steven Bauer, Chris Pontius, Nicholas Duvernay, and Nate Jackson. This would probably be a bit better if it had more humor in it, as this trailer seems so depressing.

(Warning: This post contains details about Wednesday’s episode of the Freeform series “Good Trouble.)
Season 4 of “Good Trouble” is halfway over. The midseason finale culminated with Emma Hunton’s Davia taking the stage with her burlesque troupe for the first time.
The moment is important for Davia, who found herself struggling to be vulnerable this season after she was fired from her job and was broken up with because her ex believed she was still in love with her former Coterie flame, Dennis (Josh Pence). It's our first official installment without Callie, and like Mariana, we're hanging in there.
Life moved on during Good Trouble Season 4 Episode 3, as some of the Coterie members faced new life stages and obstacles.
And, of course, the mystery surrounding newbie Joaquin's missing sister looms.
It was a bit of a slower hour, and they scaled back on the primary cast to focus on a few select characters. That way, that's definitely been more prominent across the television landscape amid the pandemic.
It often has its advantages with storytelling, stripping back some of the noise and leading to some tighter focus.
We delved right in with Joaquin, who had a surprising amount of screentime and occupied one of the biggest arcs of the hour. And through him, we got our first introduction to the tragically canceled Julie and the Phantom's star Booboo Stewart as an unhoused man, Luca.

Scarlett Sperduto and Booboo Stewart in Those Who Walk Away. Courtesy of Vmi Releasing
As low-budget horror flicks go, Those Who Walk Away, begins intriguingly as it establishes the two lead personae via their awkward chatting during the first meeting, resulting from their on-line dating connection. Booboo Stewart plays Max, a shy lad tentatively re-entering the social scene after a long preoccupation with caring for his mother during a severe illness. Scarlett Sperduto’s character Avery is relatively cool, though carrying her own set of baggage, as the two verbally circle each other like wary boxers at the start of a match.
As they wander through their small town, gradually opening up to this new potential partner beside them, it soon becomes apparent that Avery will be the Alpha if they become a couple. She persuades him to join her in exploring a reputedly haunted house. Odd choice for a...

Avery is the one leading them there as she tells stories of the local legends and ghosts that apparently frequent the house.
