El Rey Network in association with FactoryMade Ventures, today announced the production start of “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” the first scripted original to air on Robert Rodriguez’s new genre-busting cable network set to debut this December. Based on his cult classic film of the same name, the supernatural crime saga, hour-long series (which will premiere on El Rey Network in Q1 2014) began filming in Austin this week with Rodriguez set to direct the first two installments.

New York, Oct 8: Former bodyguard of Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted in Michael Jackson's death, has revealed that the physician thinks the late singer would want him to care for his children.
Jeff Adams said that Murray has lost his mind and is undergoing a breakdown, the New York Daily News reported.
Adams said that the doctor is deluded and feels like Jackson's three kids are close like they were before the King of Pop died.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson's "Kung Fu Panda 2" dominated the Annie Awards nominations, but the International Animated Film Society decided to give its highest honor -- the Best Animated Feature award -- to Gore Verbinski's "Rango." Both films are from DreamWorks Animation and they still have to duke it out at the upcoming Oscars in the Best Animated Feature Film category.
Besides the Best Animated trophy, "Rango" also collected awards for Best Editing and Writing. But Nelson, the first woman to direct a feature film animation from a major Hollywood production company, won the Directing in a Feature Production award! Yay! Rango took Best Animated Feature and The Simpsons was named Best General Audience Animated TV Production tonight at the 39th Annual Annie Awards, hosted by Patton Oswalt and held at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Jennifer Yuh Nelson was voted Best Director of a Feature Production for Kung Fu Panda 2. The Simpsons also earned Matthew Nastuk the prize for Best Directing in a TV Production. "Kung Fu Panda 2" dominated the nominations for the 39th Annual Annie Awards. Given by the International Animated Film Society, the DreamWorks Animation sequel received 12 nods including Best Animated Feature. "Puss in Boots" and "Rango" each took nine noms.
