Comedian, actress, singer Sandra Bernhard has been doing stand-up for over thirty years and she's performing stand-up on television for the first time in years in a new episode of "Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up."
"I've been doing it for a while and I'm still loving it so that's a good sign," says Bernhard, who'll take the stage for the Martin Lawrence-executive produced "1st Amendment Stand-Up," one of the few shows currently on television highlighting stand-up comedy.
Bernhard will deliver some of her special brand of outrageous, uncensored comedy. This is the woman who back in 2008 said that Sarah Palin would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she entered Manhattan.
But Bernhard jokes as to how she eventually was asked to come around the show, which usually features, well, her big black brothers and sisters, with top black comedians like Faizon Love, Deon Cole, Adele Givens,...

At the beginning of the month we asked you to Vote for your Top 5 Comedians Of The Year. The rules were rather simple; it was for Any Comic that you were able to see perform stand-up within the last year, whether it was on TV or in person.
We also asked that you would vote for Five comedians, not just One comedian. Now, many of you followed the rules and many of you did not. But we counted many of your votes anyway…
Well the Top Five Comedians of 2009 that You voted for were;
5- Corey Holcomb
4- Tony Rock
3- Earthquake
2- Mike Epps
1- Cedric The Entertainer
Then there is soooooo many folks who got votes that we just had to give them an honorable mention, and that list is;
5- Cece Mor
4 -Tony Roberts
3- TuRae Gordon
2- Jay Phillips
1- DeRay Davis
Now that the results are in and counted,...

Fox aims to redefine sketch comedy with a half-hour pilot developed and greenlighted under the network's alternative programming chief Mike Darnell.
The ensemble -- referred to as untitled comedy troupe project, or "Inside Jokes" -- hails from Merv Griffin Entertainment, with "Entourage" co-star Kevin Connolly on board as an executive producer. The pilot is filming this week, hosted by Cameron Bender and featuring five other cast members: Mary Scheer, Jay Phillips, Carrie Wiita, Paul Schackman and Lauren Rose Lewis.
The project is the brainchild of playright/actor/acting coach Ted Brunetti, who first approached Merv Griffin TV president Roy Bank about the idea. Bank brought in Connolly, who has been venturing into directing and producing.
The three will executive produce with Ron Ward and John Moffitt.
Gerry Cohen is directing the pilot for the project, which Bank describes as "a new way of doing sketch comedy."
