Tim Pastore is moving up at Nat Geo. The exec vp production and development at National Geographic Studios will transition to the flagship network starting Aug. 18, when he becomes president of original programming and production at Nat Geo, the company announced Tuesday. In his new role, Pastore will assume oversight of all development, production and production management for Nat Geo Channel U.S., where he'll be responsible for about 400 hours of content annually. National Geographic Channels CEO Courteney Monroe announced on Tuesday that Emmy-nominated producer and television veteran Tim Pastore will be joining the network as president, original programming and production, Ngc U.S. Pastore's new role will see him assuming oversight of all development, production and production management for National Geographic Channel U.S., responsible for approximately 400 hours of content annually. National Geographic Channel is expanding its East Coast development team, adding Nicole Reed as VP development and Igal Svet director, development. In addition, Naimah Holmes is relocating to New York as director, development, Heather Moran, Evp programming and strategy said today. Reed and Svet will report to Charlie Parsons, head of East Coast development, based in Washington, D.C.; while Holmes will report to Reed.
