Arrow is honoring dearly departed Laurel’s legacy in a very big way in a new teaser for Season 5.
Black Canary may be gone, but her memory lives on as Star City unveils a statue of the costumed crimefighter while Oliver contemplatively looks on. (Her portrayer, Katie Cassidy — who is now a series regular across Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow — will return in the season opener to spill what Laurel told Oliver before her death.)

Across film and TV, there have been many Star Trek projects that never got the greenlight. Such as these...
Since 1964 (yep) there have been Star Trek projects that simply didn't make it to the big or small screen. And before Star Trek's second (proper) coming in 1979's Star Trek: The Motion Picture, the franchise had more than its fair share of attempts to come to life, and then be reborn.
This lot in fact...
Star Trek – The (original) Original Series
Here's a thought – the original Star Trek series wasn't supposed to be the original Star Trek series.
The pilot that sold the show to NBC was in fact the second pilot, after the original, entitled The Cage, filmed at the end of 1964, was deemed too cerebral. That's on top of having other multiple issues that TV executives (and test audiences) of the time couldn't cope with – you know, like gender equality in the workplace.

The Party Report’s early picks of the prestigious, unique and special gatherings at the festival. Look for these intimate invites in your inbox
Despite causing agita throughout the industry for threatening not to circulate his annual “Sundance Party List” for talent, publicists and media — Chris Ryan’s encyclopedic tome is forthcoming and will be likely forwarded several times by the time you’re reading this post.
This is not that list.

Sony Pictures has confirmed that starting at 10am Pacific time today, you will be able to rent James Franco and Seth Rogen's comedy The Interview on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox for only $5.99. You will also have the option to buy it for $14.99 which is pretty much the cost of admission for seeing a movie here in Los Angeles. There's also an official website that has been set up for anyone who may not have access to those services. There have been talks of the film being made available on Netflix in the next few days as well, but there's no confirmation of that yet. It's good to see that Sony didn't let the hackers win. Enjoy the movie! Hopefully it was worth all the insanity.
If you would rather watch the movie in theaters, below you'll find a full list of where the movie will be playing on...

Refresh for latest… Here’s a list of theaters confirmed to be showing Sony’s The Interview on Christmas Day after the studio worked with indie chains on a release plan finalized this morning. The venues have a deadline of 6 Pm Pt today to decide whether to run the movie on December 25, as Sony must send theaters the movie hard drives in time to make Christmas Day screenings. Some theaters are booking the film for later in the month or into January, so that deadline isn’t looming as large. As of 4 Pm, more than 200 theaters had signed on.
This is all happening fast so this list will continue to grow. We’re hearing that there are still internal discussions among art houses about whether to add the pic to their schedules, with security and previous commitments among the concerns. Some of the theaters had planned to be dark on Christmas Day,...

Doctor Who, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, The Simpsons... Juliette talks us through 10 great TV anniversary episodes...
With so many TV shows being cancelled after a season or two, it’s perhaps not surprising that those that keep going long enough to reach a significant milestone often want to mark the occasion in some way. Such celebratory episodes usually feature plenty of nods, in-jokes and references to past episodes and characters (frequently involving special guest stars from the show’s past returning in some form) and tend to be either light, sometimes metafictional comedy episodes, or extremely dramatic game-changers following which the show may never be the same again. If you’re not crying with laughter, you’ll probably be weeping at the emotional trauma inflicted by the story.
