Talk about a wild ride!
With Thorsen shot and mid-Wilshire under attack, our TV Fanatics, Denis, Jasmine, and Christine, have a lot to talk about when it comes to The Rookie Season 5 Episode 22.
What were their favorite moments, couples, and action sequence? Read on to find out. And make sure to take the poll down below!
Thorsen's life hangs in the balance after the attack on him and Celina. Do you think there's any chance he won't survive?
Denis: The Rookie never kills off characters aimlessly. In fact, they do the opposite. They keep them around for as long as possible. Based on some character development Thorsen has seen through the season, killing him now wouldn't make sense.
Jasmine: I don't think they'll kill him off because it's too similar to Jackson dying, and he's literally Jackson's replacement. It would feel like overkill and unnecessary. But it did the trick...

Who's ready for the season finale?
This season has raced past us thanks to some great storylines with Elijah and Lopez's legendary beef, Nolan's serial killer Bff Rosalind Dyer meeting her end, and on the bright side, #Chenford.
There were major career shifts in the season as our rookies who no longer fit the term made decisions on what to specialize in their law enforcement careers.
Nolan decided to become a training agent, while Lucy decided to become an undercover agent.
Lucy went undercover on The Rookie Season 5 Episode 21, but the operation was disappointing with the lack of action. It, however, introduced more bumps in the road she and Tim were on.
Tim was uncomfortable with his second significant other deciding to go to the undercover route, but there wasn’t much he or anyone else could have done about it.
Generally, "Going Under" was a chill episode that...

Stars: Scott Adkins, Ashley Greene, Waleed Elgadi, Ryan Phillippe, Emmanuel Imani, Dino Kelly, Jack Parr, Jess Liaudin, Lee Charles | Written by Jamie Russell | Directed by James Nunn
One Shot is both the title of the new Scott Adkins film, it’s also the film’s gimmick and reason for being made in the first place. Director James Nunn, working from a script by Jamie Russell, has given us a feature-length action film shot in one continuous take.
Needless to say, One Shot keeps the plotting to a minimum. CIA operative Zoe Anderson has been assigned to bring terrorist Amin Mansur (Waleed Elgadi; Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar) from a Black Site to the US for questioning. The base’s commander Jack Yorke doesn’t think that’s a good idea and is refusing to release him.

“He is our one shot to fix this thing,” junior CIA analyst Zoe Anderson says during “One Shot,” and somewhere an angel got its wings, the happy result of not only the film’s title being uttered in dialogue, but its very gimmick as well.
Zoe is trying to retrieve information from a detainee on a CIA black site island prison — the only one left, she’s proudly told upon arrival — though she’s remarkably cagey about what she needs and why she needs it handled in Washington, DC. Perhaps she’d have been more forthcoming had she known her visit would coincide with Jihadists after the same man, and more than willing to slaughter anyone who gets in their path. Luckily for her — and for that detainee, Mansur — they luckily happen to have as their guide Navy Seal Lt. Jake Harris, as accomplished a marksman as he is in hand-to-hand combat,...

There’s a whole lot of ammo going blammo over the course of “One Shot,” an action movie couched as a battle in real time between Navy SEALs and insurgents on a U.S.-controlled, Guantanamo-style island detention facility, presented in what appears to be a single, continuous shot.
Of course, as in other recent films like “Birdman” and “1917,” the “real time” is an illusion created by hard-to-detect editing together of several long, elaborately blocked individual shots — this movie was shot in 20 days, not 90 minutes. Still, director James Nunn’s reunion with star Scott Adkins does effectively use that device to heighten immediacy in an effort that may not transcend their usual B-grade, adrenaline-fueled macho fare, but does bring some welcome novelty to the genre.
Seal Lieutenant Jake Harris (Scott Harris) has been emergency-tasked with flying a CIA representative to an ambiguously located high-security isle whose unwilling guests represent a “United Nations of terror,...

Screen Media has acquired North American rights to James Nunn’s “One Shot,” a thriller about a team of trapped Navy SEALs that unfolds in real time.
The movie features martial arts star Scott Adkins, who previously worked with Nunn on “Eliminators,” “Tower Block,” and “Green Street 3.” The cast also includes Ashley Greene Khoury of The Twilight Saga fame and “Shooter” and “Cruel Intentions” star Ryan Phillippe. Screen Media will release the film theatrically and on video on-demand in late fall.
“I am delighted ‘One Shot’ has found such a tremendous home in Screen Media for its North American release,” said producer Marc Goldberg. “I know the Screen Media team will do a fantastic job with its release; the film is a nonstop action, thrill-a-second ride and will delight audiences in the USA.”
“We know audiences are going to be blown away by the action that James and his cast and crew have captured here.

Assuming that most TV fans aren't strangers to social media, there's no doubt that you've heard musings about ABC's police procedural, "The Rookie."
The series received most of its original attention due to Castle alumni, Nathan Fillion, who plays the forty-year-old trainee at the heart of the show.
But while Nathan's performance is incredible, and his character, John Nolan, is a refreshing protagonist, there are many additional reasons that The Rookie has become one of the best series currently on the air.
Aside from the wonderfully diverse cast of characters, the series hones in on a lot of issues currently present in today's society.
There is no doubt that an abuse of power by police officers is an ongoing debate, and The Rookie sets a precedent for what law enforcement officers should be like.
That's not to say that the show doesn't have it's fair share of plotholes when it...

Nathan Fillion returned to ABC this season as John Nolan, a 40-something man who, after traumatic events, decides to change his life and becomes the Lapd's oldest rookie.
Inspired by true events, The Rookie Season 1 is full of heart, fun, and drama.

Sudden character deaths -- they've become a regular occurrence television occurrence.
Even the lightest, breeziest comedies aren't afraid to sacrifice some bodies these days. No one on a screen is safe because the ax can be dropped on anyone, including characters we thought were too important to ever be at risk.
Killing off a character is a powerful weapon in the tv writer's arsenal. It raises the stakes and forces the audience to take the surviving characters' dilemmas seriously. Death

Sometimes it's a character's time to go. However, far too often, a show kills a character off just as they were becoming interesting.

Officers Bishop and Nolan took a moment to pay their respects at Captain Anderson's grave on The Rookie Season 1 Episode 17 and then life moved on.
I was a little disappointed that we didn't see any of the Captain's funeral, but this isn't a show about wallowing in grief, it's about dealing with the loss by getting back to work.
The Captain's death will affect everyone, but I'm most curious as to how it changes Nolan.
Improvise, adapt, and overcome were the words on Zoe Anderson's gravestone. Her final moments were full of improvising and adapting, but there was no way to overcome a bullet to the neck.
Anderson partnered with Nolan because there was a target on his back. She had a soft spot for her oldest rookie, and she believed in him before anyone else did.
