Catherine De Seve was born in Montreal and splits her time between Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles. She has been nominated twice for a Gémeaux Award. She made a name for herself as an actor with
Le Sketch Show (2004), a French language adaptation of the British comedy series, and for 15 years she played Anaïs Provencher on the popular series
L'auberge du chien noir (2003). She has appeared in English as Mrs Allston in
The Handmaid's Tale (2017), as Sally Wells in
Saying Yes to Christmas (2021), and is in the comedy series
Bria Mack Gets a Life (2023). When she isn't working, Catherine likes spending time at her cottage with her husband Frank, son
Oscar Desgagnés, and 4.2-pound Yorkipoo, Bili.
