R.J. Brodkin

Bob Brodkin was born Robert Jay Brodkin on April 19, 1939 in Brooklyn,
New York. His parents were Martin and Edith (both now deceased). He
attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn and Food Trades
Vocational High School in Manhatten. Serving in the United States Navy,
Brodkin graduated from Class "A" Radio School at Bainbridge MD. and
served his enlistment as an Admiral's staff member of COMCARDIV 5. He
saw service on six different Attack Aircraft Carriers. Upon his
honorable discharge from the Navy, he achieved his Amateur Extra Class
F.C.C. License for Ham Radio. He is married to Beatrice (Betty)
Brodkin, nee Klein, and has two children, April and David. As a Morse
Code Specialist and consultant he is proficient in both sending and
receiving International Morse Code using either a "staight" and/or
semi-automatic (bug) telegraph key. Brodkin is also proficient in
sending and receiving Morse Code via flashing light. He holds a
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, and a Master's Degree in
Information Systems. He has 40 years of hands on experience in
scientific unmanned Deep Space missions with NASA/JPL.
