2500 Media, the Los Angeles-based production company founded by former WME non-scripted packaging agent and partner Sean Perry, has named its senior management team.
Perry launched 2500 Media early last summer and a few months later signed a deal with Lionsgate’s Pilgrim Media, which includes an exclusive unscripted agreement between 2500 Media and Pilgrim, as well as a first-look scripted pact with Lionsgate Television.
Perry has tapped Kendall Horn, who previously worked in development at Pilgrim, as head of development for 2500 Media. Nicole Taylor Perry (Scarred) has been named managing director, overseeing all operations and new business development. Pilgrim’s Nicole Urban will coordinate development for 2500 Media.
Under 2500 Media’s deal with Pilgrim/Lionsgate, the company works closely with Pilgrim’s development team, including Tom Huffman, Lauren LeMiex and Scott Eldridge, as well as Lionsgate’s Max Elins on the scripted side.

The Lionsgate-backed company has handed promotions to Tom Huffman, who has been upped to Chief Creative Officer, Lauren Lemieux upped to VP and Head of Development and SVP, Original Content Scott Eldridge has had his duties expanded to include true-crime.
The company, which also makes series including Ghost Hunters and Street Outlaws, has also promoted Michael Dunn to Executive Director of Development, Christian Navarrete to Director of Development, Lauren Mickle to Coordinator and Cara Groom joined the group from Lionsgate as Director of Development.

Wgn America is signaling an expansion into unscripted programming with the hire of Tom Huffman as Svp Unscripted Programming. Based in Los Angeles, he will oversee unscripted series development for both Wgn America and Tribune Studios, reporting to Matt Cherniss, President/Gm of Wgn America and Tribune Studios. “As Tribune continues its expansion into original programming, Tom brings a fantastic set of experience and point-of-view as both a producer and an executive, all of which will be essential as we create more unscripted programming for Tribune’s local stations and Wgn America,” said Cherniss. In the network’s first major programming move, it greenlighted drama Salem straight-to-series. Kevin Bennett has been named Svp Programming and Research, ID, Military Channel and Planet Green. It marks Bennett’s return to ID, aka Investigation Discovery, which he helped launch four years ago. His hire is part of a new management structure in which Bennett will lead a newly centralized programming, scheduling and research division across the three brands and will oversee development for ID. Tom Huffman, formerly of Shed Media, has joined VH1 as VP Original Programming. He will step into to the network executive producer role for VH1′s Basketball Wives, which he developed and originally pitched to VH1 in 2009 when he was at Shed. With Coast Guard Alaska debuting November 9, the Weather Channel has greenlighted another “guard” reality series, Lifeguard! The U.K.-based umbrella of companies that includes Ricochet TV, Twenty Twenty, Wall to Wall, Shed Prods. and Outright Distribution now has 30% of its profits coming from the U.S., where it produces such series as Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City," ABC's "Supernanny" and NBC's upcoming "Who Do You Think You Are?"
Burrad Marsh, most recently head of series development at Alchemy TV ("Flashpoint"), is joining Shed Media U.S. as vp scripted development.
Tom Huffman has been tapped as director of unscripted development. He comes from Mark Burnett Prods., where he shepherded "StarMaker," "Bully Beatdown" and "Rock Band Battle" on MTV.
Deborah Ridpath will serve as development producer and oversee the development and production of new programming as well as adapting existing formats for the U.S.
