Tickets to Secret Cinema's Back to the Future screening this summer will go back on sale tomorrow (June 5) after many fans were left empty-handed today.
The event, which will recreate the film's Hill Valley in a London location, was met with huge demand with customers unable to purchase tickets for the immersive cinema experience.
Secret Cinema posted an update on its official Facebook page, saying its ticket provider had failed to anticipate web traffic.
"Due to incredible demand, our ticket provider were not able to cope despite their prior knowledge of potential traffic," the post reads.
"We are deeply sorry for the loss of your time. We have halted the sale and will be relaunching tomorrow at 1300 hours with a different ticket provider."
Many Back to the Future fans took to social media to voice their frustrations.
"Your ticket system Marty! Something has got to be done about your ticket system!

When Secret Cinema announced its latest project as Back to the Future, we and pretty much the entire world were extremely excited.
Cut to 1pm today (June 4), and tickets for the immersive cinema experience went on sale. Unfortunately, as the event was not so secret as usual, this led to the inevitable crash of the internet, as seemingly everyone (including this writer) struggled to get tickets (and at the time of writing, still is).
A combination of 404 errors, long waiting times and lack of updates led to many Back to the Future fans taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations, as the only way to handle such an annoyance is to moan together.
Here are just a handful of such comments, complete with various Bttf references:
