- Chuck and Lynne Williams are married artists who have been living in the beautiful Northwoods of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin since July 2000. Chuck is a native Floridian who developed his passion for sculpture at an early age. He is a self-taught sculptor/painter but attended classes in figure sculpture at the Boston Museum School of Fine Art in 1993, and was a student of The Dick Smith Advanced Professional Make-Up Course. This passion led him to a position with The Walt Disney Company as their lead sculptor in product development out in sunny California, from June 1995 to July 2000. Lynne began learning to sew as a toddler under the direction of her mother, and after graduating with an associate degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in 1981, started her career in Costume Construction.
Williams Studio 2 is the artistic collaboration between Chuck, Lynne, and their 2 studios. The sculpture studio is where Chuck creates product for corporate clients, personal fine art bronzes, and replica costume pieces. The sewing studio is where Lynne provides pattern and samples for corporate clients, teaches, creates costumes in collaboration with Chuck and throws in a little dressmaking/tailoring as well.
The replica costumes they sell in their shop started with Chuck's appreciation for Batman (1966) starring Adam West. Chuck's fastidious eye for detail honed from years of sculpting small scale pieces as well as accurate likenesses coupled with Lynne's experience in the film industry and her extensive knowledge of costume fabrication has lead to this unique collaboration.
In doing research to create a costume for Chuck, they had the good fortune to meet up with Mark Hardeman who allowed them access to a set of Batman and Robin costumes which had been used on-screen. This opportunity allowed them to strike patterns, match colors, determine construction methods and fabrics used, all of which has culminated in the accuracy and beauty of the items they offer.
Prior to working at Walt Disney, Chuck worked as a sculptor/painter at Sally Industries between 1984 and 1988, freelance as a sculptor for his own company The Chuck Williams Studio between July 1988 and 1994, and as a sculptor at The Schmid Company between 1991 and 1994- IMDb Mini Biography By: Chuck and Lynne Williams
