- [on 'You're Next!'] I don't know what it says about me, but I really liked it. It's disturbing, violent and without any redeeming social value. But I enjoyed sitting in the theatre with my hands over my eyes, afraid of what I might see next. I'm not usually a fan of head trauma, but from what I saw as I peeked through my fingers, it worked well. There is a Manson Family aspect to the story that really creeped me out - a lesson in survivalism to be sure, but keep in mind how it works out for everyone. I think I'll stick to calling 911.
- I don't think it's fair to charge audiences full price for the screenings of 'Captain Phillips'. While watching this I was reminded of the old Monster Truck ads that bellowed, 'You pay for the whole seat but you'll only need the edge!' I was dangling off the front of my seat from about the thirty minute mark.
- I think Will Ferrell is one of the bravest comedic actors working today, someone willing to do anything for a laugh. Trouble is, I often don't laugh.
- It used to be that you'd announce a Tom Cruise movie and people would be lined up around the block to see it, and that no longer holds true unless the movie happens to be called 'Mission Impossible'.
