What. An. Hour.
The chips are falling into place now, and we are circling the end of this wild and alluring season. With the deck stacked against Tommy, from enemies he can see and enemies he's not even aware of, you can't even begin to predict how things will end up.
But if that closing frame of Power Book IV: Force Season 2 Episode 8 was any indication, he's never felt more alive.
This was a very messy installment from start to finish.
And there's no easy place to jump in, but it's probably best to start at the top with Vic doing his damndest to cover his tracks.
Vic has been flying by the seat of his pants since he became a snitch, and he stepped in it when he killed Vargas. He may not have had a choice, but it put an even larger target on his back as far as Stacy was concerned.

Exclusive: Bridesmaids co-writer Annie Mumolo has signed on to co-create animated kids series Lulu and the Help You Crew.

While Dom may be the face of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, Brian O'Conner was its heart and soul. From the very first movie, Brian was our way into the world of racing: He was the protagonist we followed, the baby-faced hero who defied orders and chose family over duty, letting Dom escape in the movie's final moments. When Vin Diesel refused to do a sequel, Brian was in the spotlight in "2 Fast 2 Furious," which still holds up remarkably well without Diesel, especially compared to how these films hold up when Brian is absent.
Even when the whole family reunited in "Fast Five" and we got more characters than ever, Brian continued to be an essential part of the team, serving as a counterpart to Dom. He was the former cop who knew how to catch criminals, and who kept the franchise grounded while Dom slowly became a borderline superhuman comic book character.

Contains spoilers for "Fast X"
The ethos of the "Fast and Furious" franchise is best summed up with one word: family. In the beginning, it was all about fast cars and evading the law. But around the fifth movie or so, the concept of family became the motivating force of the narrative, outweighing any previous allegiance to money or thrills (though the thrills never left).
"Fast X" is one of the most family-centric of all the "Fast" movies, even if it does separate the clan for much of its runtime. Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) abuelita, played by the legendary Rita Moreno, shows up at the start of the film to remind Dom that family matters more than anything. And then there's Dom's son, Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry), for whom Dom wants to provide a better life free of all the hardships he's experienced.

The basic formula that made the “Fast and Furious” franchise immensely successful across the globe—at least post its grounded period—was a strange adherence to showcasing honor among heinous criminals, explosive and senseless action set pieces that defy the laws of physics, and a repeated emphasis on prioritizing the importance of family. Despite being uninventive, this formula, which had worked pretty well for the series thus far and made the franchise among the top earners, has expectedly seemed to have run its course, as the latest entry, Fast X, the first chapter of three parts of the franchise’s culmination saga, suggests. Delving through and countering various world-ending threats through their journey, Dom and his family are facing a danger that entails more personal stakes than in previous installments, and yet, viewers don’t feel the emotional connection they had expected to see in ‘the beginning of the end.

So, I stated in a review from a couple of weeks ago that the Summer movie season has officially begun with the early May foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And just when does the movie madness kick in, where’s the big action blockbusters? Well, it goes full-throttle right now as we shift (see what I’m doing here) from the MCU to the F&fu (maybe I should leave off that last letter). We can officially call this one of our most enduring film franchises as it’s now well over 21 (so don’t imbibe before sliding into the driver’s seat). This weekend, and for a few weeks thereafter, action enthusiasts will buckle up at the multiplex for Fast X. And man, you can pop your corn on those searing engines.

Over the course of 22 years, the "Fast & Furious" films have resembled a great many different things: a sports movie, a crime drama, a martial arts action film, a globe-spanning spy saga, a high-tech sci-fi yarn, and even a role-playing game campaign. Yet the franchise's main theme has remained stalwart — the movies are all about the power and resilience of family, a 10-film franchise that seeks to prove the ancient adage, "blood is thicker than water."
Yet, as the series' continual instances of betrayal, side-switching, and tragic death followed by improbable resurrection make the saga seem borderline Biblical or Shakespearean, its exploration of the concept of family has not been entirely one-note. The Fast Saga has openly acknowledged that misunderstandings and deep-seated resentment can occur between family members, just as it's explored how rivalries can form between separate family units: witness the family of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) crossing paths...

Hollywood star Vin Diesel, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Fast X’, has revealed that he gifted his son the car from the Toretto garage on the latter’s birthday. He also shared that the film is all about ‘family’.
However, this time the film will blend in the themes of parenthood and survival.
Talking about the evolution of the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise, the actor told Ians: “By blood or by bond, family is family. In the earlier years of this franchise, we were exploring the concept of brotherhood, cherishing and celebrating family. Then, as the mythology continued and evolved naturally, we were going to end up discussing fatherhood, and in Fast X you will see the representation of parenthood where survival is everything. Out in theaters next month, the tenth mainline "Fast & Furious" film "Fast X" is the most expensive one ever — and one of the most expensive movies of all time, in fact. The budget has ballooned to $340 million over the course of production, thanks to Covid-19 protocols, the original director Justin Lin quitting a week into filming, and a massive ensemble cast whose total wage bill now stands at $100 million. (Vin Diesel alone accounts for a fifth of that.)
It probably doesn't help that the cast just keeps growing with every new installment. This is going to take a while, bear with me. In addition to Diesel as Dom Toretto, there's Michelle Rodriguez as his wife Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as the wisecracking Roman Pearce, Ludacris and Nathalie Emmanuel as tech experts Tej Parker and Ramsey respectively, Jordana Brewster as Dom's sister Mia Toretto, Helen Mirren as militia leader Magdalene Shaw,...

This The Blacklist review contains spoilers.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 7
The Blacklist’s seventh installment of its final season exposes Wujing’s (Chin Han) Plan B. Though the Freelancer, Alban Veseli (Daniel Sauli) found a place under Wujing’s wing in this season’s premiere episode, “The Night Owl,” the former blacklister went to the backburner while Wujing focused on breaking Dr. Laken Perillos (Laverne Cox) out of prison in order to bring Dembe Zuma (Hisham Tawfiq) under her power and squeeze information about the Task Force from him.
While it may strike as odd planning on Wujing’s part, perhaps the gaffe of Dr. Perillos is a sign that Wujing isn’t a sociopath. He tries first to break just one man, Dembe, in his quest for information before he resorts to the Freelancer’s services that results in 50+ victims killed or missing in the ferry attack that kicks...

The cast of the "On My Block" spinoff, "Freeridge," promised the new show would bring all the high jinks, mystery, romance, and life lessons that fans of the original loved, and the series - which hit Netflix on Feb. 2 - certainly delivers.
"Freeridge" season one follows a new core four of high-school friends - Keyla Monterroso Mejia (Gloria), Tenzing Norgay Trainor (Cameron), Ciara Riley Wilson (Demi), and Bryana Salaz (Inez) - as they navigate friendship, love, class conflict, grief, and - believe it or not - a curse wreaking havoc on their lives.
With appearances from familiar "On My Block" characters sprinkled throughout the fast-paced season - like Ruby's parents, Geny (Paula Garces) and Ruben (Eric Neil Gutierrez), as Gina and Inez's neighbors; Jamal (Brett Gray) calling in with some Roller World intel; and an Abuelita look-alike - "Freeridge" packs a punch for old and new fans alike.

Fans of Netflix's "On My Block" were passionate about the slice-of-life show that followed the lives of four friends in Freeridge, CA, as they navigated high school, romance, and socioeconomic hardships. The show ended in the fall of 2021 after four critically acclaimed seasons, and it's safe to say the young cast taking on the mantle of a brand-new core four in its spinoff, "Freeridge," - Keyla Monterroso Mejia (Gloria), Tenzing Norgay Trainor (Cameron), Ciara Riley Wilson (Demi), and Bryana Salaz (Ines) - have quite the legacy to live up to. However, they're the perfect group of up-and-comers to take on the challenge, because they love "On My Block" just as much as its fans.

If you're an "On My Block" fan and thought the show's fourth and final season was the last you'd see of the California town the coming-of-age series is set in, we have good news: Netflix's straight-to-series "On My Block" spinoff, "Freeridge," is finally here.

The battle of Good vs. Evil was fought on Riverdale Season 6 Episode 21.
From dark rituals to mind-controlled Ghoulies, there were many more layers to this big fight than meets the eye. Percival didn't make this battle easy for our heroes.
Did the fight live up to the anticipation? Or was it just another mind game by Percival?
"Chapter One Hundred and Sixteen: The Stand" was a jam-packed chapter. A lot happened to our heroes in their war against Percival, from one mini fight to the next and the surprise twists.
It would've been easy for Riverdale to drag this out into Riverdale Season 6 Episode 22. Especially since this is only the penultimate episode of Riverdale Season 6, and the season finale is coming up.
I'm glad Riverdale went in this direction because the battle ended on a high note before the comet would arrive.
There was so much momentum built after Riverdale...
