Kelly Helgeson(I)
Although she was born in "Tinseltown" it wasn't until Kelly Jennifer
Helgeson was 14 years old that she started to pursue her acting career.
When she was young she went from wanting to be a cowgirl, ballerina,
marine biologist, veterinarian and archaeologist before deciding to
become an actress. Her parents, Marty Helgeson, an actress, and Steve
Helgeson, a computer programmer, moved their shy daughter and her
brother away from the smog and suffocating crowds of Hollywood when she
was 3 years old. So she grew up in Northern California, Georgia,
Florida, Colorado and Oregon, where she gained friends and confidence
in school plays and occasionally co-hosted her middle school's
broadcast news show, WJFK Weekly News.
She finally moved back to the Los Angeles area with her mom in 1997 to pursue an acting career. There she auditioned for small parts in between school breaks and gained experience with extra work and featured roles in small films. But it wasn't until 1999 when she won the role of "Natalie" in the Leif Einarsson independent film JarJar Binks: The F! True Hollywood Story (2000) and landed an agent that her career started to take off. The next year she finished school early in order to pursue her acting full-time. She has since acted in commercials for directors such as Tony Kaye, Jake Scott, and Mike Carp and in independent films. In her spare time she plays alto saxophone, loves to read and paints quirky animal watercolor portraits.
