When a humanoid sea creature washes up in Terry’s bleak life they quickly develop feelings for each other – But can Man love Fish, and will Terry’s older criminal brother get his hands on the creature before Terry can decide how he feels?
Ever wondered what it would look like if Troma shot a British movie at Canvey Island? Wonder no more as Manfish would definitely be the result… and I mean that in the most complimentary way. You see Manfish embodies the spirit of the low-budget, independent, more ideas than money, style of filmmaking that Troma is synonymous with. Though ion this was made by Americans I doubt the finished product would be quite as sweet-natured as Marc Coleman’s film; because Manfish is Incredibly sweet-natured.

"Go, Johnny, Go!" Sonic Screenworks has unveiled an early promo teaser trailer for a fun new Back to the Future homage / throwback feature film titled Great Scott. It's not really a documentary, and it's not a remake, it's more of a tribute to the life-changing magic of Back to the Future – a bit like that funky Star Wars tribute film Fanboys from 2009. The story follows a boy named Scott from the UK who sees Back to the Future while he's on vacation in Florida, and when he returns home he is so changed by the movie, he embarks on an adventure to "fix his parents' marriage, get the girl, defeat the school bully, and rock the end of year disco." The cast so far includes Jon Campling and Dougie Poynter. Strangely, the director who was once attached to this has been booted off, so it still hasn't even started filming yet.

Writer/director and seemingly one-man filmmaking factory David Ryan Keith was previously responsible for two films I absolutely adore – 2017’s Ghosts of Darkness (Still yet to receive a UK physical release) and last years The Dark Within. But prior to those he made his second feature, The Redwood Massacre, an old-school slasher movie shot in Aberdeen (of all places) that didn’t exactly set the world on fire on release – it has its fans yes, but its not one of those must-see genre films… Which is why it was surprising to see, some 6 years after that films release, we’ve got a sequel in Redwood Massacre: Annihilation!

Howard J Ford’s latest feature film is The Lockdown Hauntings, a supernatural serial killer movie. The award-winning director behind The Dead, The Dead 2 India, and Never Let Go, revealed that plans are underway to release the film, which was shot entirely in lockdown without a crew, exactly one year after the UK lockdown was called (March 16) which is the very same day the film’s story starts.
With the streets now empty, it isn’t just nature that is taking advantage of this unprecedented global disaster. Spirits are freer than ever before and the spirit of a notorious serial killer, Aka ‘The Locksmith’, is back from the dead and he has even more potential victims. Can self-isolating detective George Parker (Angela Dixon) with the guidance of paranormal expert Jordan Myers (Tony Todd), prevent more young women from becoming victims of The Lockdown Hauntings?

Pumpkins is new 80′s style horror from writer and director Maria Lee Metheringham, which has been selected to play at the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival on Sunday 21st January. I got chance to ask Maria a few questions about making the film, her influences and adapting to changes during the shoot.
What can we expect from the film Pumpkins?
I would describe Pumpkins as an Ambient/Atmospheric horror. It combines elements of 80′s style classic horror films rolled into one feature. It’s not meant to be a gore film but it is meant to be visually creepy, eerie and suspenseful. Hopefully you will experience the old school settings along with an atmospheric journey.
What was your inspiration for writing the film Pumpkins?
It started off as a short to be included in another 80s style horror feature film we were writing but we liked the story so much we turned...

The new short film “Le Fantôme” (The Ghost), created for the new Ford Edge SUV, centers around an enigmatic stranger and a couple who no longer exist.
Directed by Jake Scott and starring Mads Mikkelsen, the dramatic eight-minute movie shows the “Hannibal” actor as a hitman in pursuit of a couple starting a new life under witness protection. As he watches the pair closely and is about to attack, he gets distracted after catching a glimpse of the new Ford vehicle from afar.
“Everyday we make choices, choices that shape our lives and sometimes the lives of others,” Mikkelsen says before he breaks into the couples garage and checks out the mesmerizing car.

Do you remember having a favorite tree growing up? Maybe you shared your first kiss underneath its leafy branches, rested against its gnarled bark while reading your favorite paperbacks, or even used it as the safe spot in games of base tag with your friends. Well, the titular timber in Curse of the Witching Tree isn’t that type of tree, and in his feature film directing debut, James Crow effectively shows its horrifying historical roots.

There is no hope! Why do we all hate Uwe Boll when he’s such a hillarious man? I mean, really, let’s give him a break, his latest Zombie Massacre looks quite cool. Except, it’s not all (sorry, man!) about Boll this time, because Marco Ristori and Luca Boni were also in charge. They directed, of course, while Boll served as a producer. Oh, who am I kidding – Boll stars in the whole thing as (take a seat, please!) the president of the Us! Ok, that’s it – I’m officialy in love with this man! In a zombie kind of way…
So, in case you’re not so familiar with this one, let me first inform you that this movie is an adaptation based on the Wii project developed by Benjamin Krotin’s 1988 Games.

Zombie Massacre is Uwe Boll's latest film. Boll is a producer on this picture and he also has a screen credit as the American President. Picturing Boll as the President is a true nightmare. Even more nightmarish is this first official trailer for the film. In the clip, a super soldier, produced by the American government, is inadvertently unleashed on a local populace. A team of mercenaries are sent in to restore order. Who will win the day: the undead or these rogue soldiers? Zombie Massacre is based on a video game from Benjamin Krotin, which is scheduled for release in 2012 through 1988 Games. However, as 2012 draws to an end, an official release date for the game has not been confirmed. For now, forget the joystick and enjoy the film's reel below. Director/writer: Luca Boni and Marco Ristori. Cast: Uwe Boll, Tara Cardinal, Mike Mitchell, Jon Campling, Christian Boeving,...

Independent filmmakers could learn a thing or two from director Luca Boni and Marco Ristori’s upcoming action/horror flick “Zombie Massacre”. The adaptation stars Christian Boeving, Jon Campling, Mike Mitchell, Gerry Shanahan, Daniel Vivian, and the lovely Tara Cardinal. You can...

He’s basically built for the role. However, just because he looks good in Roman soldier garb doesn’t mean he can act like one. In fact, after The Eagle, it’s impossible not to recognize the fact that Tatum might not be able to act at all. Then again, all the blame can’t fall on this film’s star. Not only is director Kevin Macdonald to blame for the incredible amount of missed opportunities, but so is writer Jeremy [...]...
