Howard Stern said this week he quickly accepted Jerry Seinfeld’s apology for saying Stern has been “outflanked” by other comedians.
“I read it, and I went to my wife, ‘Oh, that’s weird,’ because Jerry is a personal friend of ours,” Stern said on Monday’s The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.
Last week, Seinfeld made headlines for saying on the Fly on the Wall podcast that Stern, a self-proclaimed “king of all media,” had been “outflanked” by other comedy podcasts. He also said that hosts Dana Carvey and David Spade “are better than him now.” The Unfrosted director later apologized for the comments, saying “I feel really bad for what I said.”
On Monday, Stern said he first learned of the comments when he saw a headline that said Seinfeld alleged Stern was an interviewer, not a comedian.

Dozens of students walked out of comedian Jerry Seinfeld‘s Duke University commencement speech on May 12.
A video posted on X showed students chanting “Free, free Palestine” as they left the stadium with pro-Palestine flags, and the walkouts seemed to be in protest of Seinfeld’s support of Israel. Seinfeld has publicly voiced his support for Israel since the October 7 Hamas-led attack.

By Monday afternoon, the buzz hit Main Street: the Seinfelds have arrived at the Sundance Film Festival.
The superstar comedian accompanied his wife, Jessica Seinfeld, to Park City for the world premiere of her Sundance documentary Daughters, held just after noon Monday at the Ray Theatre. And what an event it proved to be. “Daughters received multiple standing ovations at our sold-out premiere today,” Jessica shared on Instagram Stories along with a video showing a packed crowd on its feet. The film marks the entrepreneur, author and philanthropist’s first feature film.
Daughters, directed by Angela Patton and Natalie Rae, focuses a lens on four young girls — Aubrey, Santana, Raziah and Ja’Ana — as they prep for a special daddy-daughter dance with their incarcerated fathers as part of a unique program in a Washington D.C. jail. Per Sundance literature, Daughters is a result of an eight-year doc journey for its filmmakers.

Kerry Washington joined the Variety Studio presented by Audible at the Sundance Film Festival, where she is an executive producer on the documentary “Daughters.” The movie centers on four girls in Washington D.C. as they prepare for a Daddy Daughter Dance with their incarcerated fathers.
“People always ask me why I’m drawn to political work,” Washington said about boarding the documentary. “I’m not drawn to political work. It’s just I am a woman and I am a Black person. In this body, when I center stories about me or stories that star people that look like me, it’s considered political because the world wants to push us out into the margins and we all deserve to be at the center of our lives.”

Wednesday night’s Very Good+ Night of Comedy benefit for Jessica Seinfeld’s Good+ Foundation was mostly an evening of laughs supplied by stand-up sets from comedians Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, Ronny Chieng, Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld.
But Jessica Seinfeld took time at the top of the event to speak about the Israel-Hamas war that has been dominating the news since Hamas’ deadly, surprise terrorist attack Oct. 7.

The pop singer Pink (aka Alecia Moore) has denied Israeli flags have flown at her rock concerts after southern Israel came under attack 10 days ago from the Hamas terrorist organization.
“This post will be controversial for some. At this point, breathing is controversial. I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not,” Pink said on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.
The pop star went on to say she has been flying Poi flags on her current tour, or flags traditionally used as a symbol of peace by New Zealand’s Maori people. “These were used many, many years ago by the Maori people in New Zealand and because they and the Maori people are beautiful to me, we use them. I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag.

Arnold Schwarzenegger took to social media today with a 12-minute video addressing the rising instances of hate crimes in America and, specifically, addressing those committing or considering committing them or anyone who hates others because of “their religion, or the color of their skin, or their gender.” His message is blunt, calling those who embrace hate “losers,” but also telling those same people, “I care about you,” and urging a different path.

Jerry Seinfeld may be a world-famous comedian - but to his kids, he's just Dad. Over the years, he's worked hard to be a good example for them. "We just try to build decent human beings. We're not trying to beat them over the head that they have to give back," he told The New York Times in 2012. "The only way to really do it, we believe, is by doing it yourself and modeling it and hopefully they follow."
Years later, it seems like his efforts have paid off. On March 1, Jerry's wife, Jessica Seinfeld, posted a photo of their son Julian on Instagram in celebration of his 20th birthday and praised him extensively in the caption for being a good person. "Happy 20th Birthday to @julianseinfeld!" she wrote. "Your work ethic enables you to balance a heavy college course load with a job you love. Your sharply tuned Bs detector suffers not one fool.

Amid concerns about a so-called “Day of Hate” reportedly planned tomorrow by White Supremacists and other fringe groups, Jessica Seinfeld took to her social media to ask friends of the Jewish community to “counter this idea with their love and light.”
Seinfeld suggests joining a Jewish friend at synagogue for Shabbat in order to “fill our sanctuaries with courage and friendship.” Another idea she suggests is to “invite yourself to a Shabbat meal,” or “call or text your Jewish friends and simply say ‘I’m here.’ “
Here is the full text of her post:

All day Wednesday, dozens of prominent Black women in Hollywood, fashion, business, literature and political activism will be taking over the Instagram accounts of white women including Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Warren, as part of the #ShareTheMicNow campaign, which aims to amplify the voices and stories of Black women.
Created by Bozoma Saint John, Cmo at Endeavor, fashion designer Stacey Bende, and bestselling writers Luvvie Ajayi Jones and Glennon Doyle, the campaign will see 46 Black women run the accounts of 46 white women. “When the world listens to women, it listens to white women. A new social media campaign launching Wednesday called #ShareTheMicNow will have Black women speak from the Instagram accounts of white women who have large platforms from Julia Roberts to Gwenyth Paltrow, Hilary Swank, Alex Morgan and Kourtney Kardashian. In the initial broad coalition of women, organizer Bozoma Saint John, Chief Marketing Officer at Endeavor, will take over Kourtney Kardashian’s account; Kahlana Barfield Brown will take over Julia Roberts’ account; Latham Thomas will take over Gwenyth Paltrow’s account; Angelica Ross will take over Hilary Swank’s account; and Ibtihaj Muhammad will take over Alex Morgan’s account.
#ShareTheMicNow wants to magnify “Black women and the important work they’re doing in order to catalyze the change that will only come when we truly hear each other’s voices,” the group said in a statement Tuesday. It “encourages Black and white women in relationship to recreate this action in their own spaces.

It was a family affair for Jerry Seinfeld on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old comedian and his three children — daughter Sascha, 16, and sons Shepherd Kellen, 11, and Julian Kal, 14 — stepped out at New York City’s Central Park to support wife/mother Jessica Seinfeld and her charity, the Good+ Foundation, at its 2017 NY Bash.
The annual event, now in its 11th year and held at the park’s famed Victorian Gardens, helps raised money for the charity — which “partners with a national network of leading programs to break the cycle of family poverty through the power of donated goods and services,” according to its website.
