The orchestral covers in Bridgerton Season 3 start off with a big “abcdefu” to the haters as . Making their grand returns are Misses Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, plus newcomer Gayle and other contemporary hitmakers whose work flows seamlessly into the Bridgerton universe.
Season 3 also debuts Bridgerton’s first original song, “All I Want,” in the second batch of episodes.
But the musical cue that will really have the ton abuzz is the orchestral cover of Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything,” which scores the long-awaited “carriage scene” from the books — when Penelope and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) get intimate for the first time.
“I think everyone was a little bit shocked that they were so in love with this Pitbull song cover for this sequence, of all things,” music supervisor Justin Kamps tells Tudum. “But the song is amazing, and it has this great build to it, and that’s...

Gayle King was utterly shocked when she received a surprise during CBS Mornings.
King learned that she officially landed on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
It was unexpected for King, who received the big news from model Kate Upton during the morning program.
“It’s right here,” Upton said, handing King a copy of the magazine featuring her cover.
Upon seeing it, she raised both arms, screamed excitedly, clapped, and bounced up and down in her seat.
“I’m on the cover?” she asked amid more screaming, sharing that she thought she would only be featured “on the inside” of the magazine.
King didn’t believe her Si Swimsuit Issue cover
During the exciting televised moments, King’s co-host told her, “You are officially Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl.”
“Is that a dummy cover?” the 69-year-old CBS Mornings host asked to check if they were pranking her on TV.

The Wiz has returned in a Broadway revival starring Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox, and others.
The cast includes Emmy-winner Brady in the show’s titular role and Grammy-winning Cox as Glinda the Good Witch.
They’ve been appearing on various morning programs and talk shows to promote their big event by discussing their roles, what this show represents, and more.
The co-stars recently appeared on CBS Mornings and talked to Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil, and Vladimir Duthiers.
While some may have found the interview entertaining and insightful, several critics called Gayle out for her involvement in the segment.
In particular, one question Gayle asked drew criticism from a viewer, while another brought up something else that bothered them about the interview.

Television personality Oprah Winfrey says that she has never been to a therapist and turns to her friend and personality, Gayle King, for “real therapy”.
Winfrey said: “I’ve never been to a therapist because I had so many on the show, but my real therapy came from downloading whatever was happening in the day with Gayle every night.”
The personality and King supported each other throughout the early years of their careers, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The TV icon told people.com: “There wasn’t a day that we missed being on some kind of phone call talking about what had happened in our days.”
Winfrey is now hugely grateful for King’s support.
“I’ve had one of the best friendships anybody could have. And you can only do that when somebody cares as much about your success, your sadness, and your triumphs as you do,” she said.

In her 25 seasons on television, Oprah Winfrey ruled the daytime talk show scene, often allowing guests to open up about difficult subjects and their life issues.
Some of those guests likely felt that being on the couch with Oprah and discussing emotional situations for her show was therapeutic.
Oprah’s popular Chicago-based infotainment and talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ran from September 1986 to May 2011, which meant a lot of guests for Oprah to listen to and emotional situations to navigate.
Throughout those 25 seasons, many therapists also appeared on her longtime show to discuss various topics with Oprah, guests, and audience members.
However, the woman called the Queen of All Media recently admitted she’s “never been to a therapist” herself.
Instead, she said her “real therapy” came from her best friend, Gayle King.

This is already shaping up to be an interesting year for Best New Artist at the Grammys. The category might lack a clear frontrunner so far, as it is early in the year, but we do have some serious contenders who might pick up more steam closer to voting time this fall. Plus, an open field might make it even more interesting, unlike years where the winner was rather obvious like when Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish prevailed.

Kelly Clarkson‘s former husband, Brandon Blackstock, has been ordered to pay over $2.6 million to the acclaimed singer due to his involvement in several mishandled business transactions.
As Clarkson’s manager, Blackstock engaged in contractual agreements on her behalf, a responsibility that should have been undertaken by her agent.
A California labor commissioner ruled that Blackstock is obligated to pay Clarkson a sum of $2,641,374 for the fees he received from these deals, which encompassed contracts related to The Voice and the Billboard Music Awards.
The ruling states, “Under the Talent Agencies Act (Taa), a manager, like any person without a talent agency license, cannot procure or attempt to procure employment for artists.”
Clarkson and Blackstock began to date in 2013 and tied the knot in the same year. Their marriage ended when Clarkson, winner of American Idol season one, filed for divorce from Blackstock in 2020. The divorce was finalized two years later.

Sen. Joe Manchin‘s daughter, Heather Bresch, set up a political organization just days after the Democratic West Virginia senator announced he would not run for re-election next year.
Manchin has been toying with a third-party presidential run either with No Labels or one of his own making. The organization, Americans Together, was established under federal election law as a 501(c)(4) group, which allows it to raise funds to support Manchin’s future political activities.
In a written and video statement last week, Manchin said, “After months of deliberation and long conversations with my family, I believe in my heart of hearts that I have accomplished what I set out to do for West Virginia. I have made one of the toughest decisions of my life and decided that I will not be running for re-election to the United States Senate, but what I will be doing is traveling the...

Can “King Charles” rule in the heady, competitive world of cable news? CNN will soon find out.
The new weekly one-hour program will debut Wednesday, November 29, at 10 p.m., and will be co-anchored by the unlikely duo of Gayle King, who still has her long-running day job at rival CBS News, and Charles Barkley, the outspoken sportscaster who remains a key element in the NBA coverage provided by CNN’s parent, Warner Bros. Discovery. CNN executives are counting on the pair to have freewheeling conversations about the biggest stories in the news cycle. “King Charles” is viewed as a limited-run series that will last at least through the first quarter of next year.
“‘King Charles’ is different than anything we have on CNN’s lineup,” says Amy Entelis, CNN’s executive vice president for talent and content development, in responses to questions provided by email. “It’s not a newscast,...

Eddie Redmayne will return to Broadway next year in a revival of Cabaret!
The Oscar and Tony-winning actor previously played the Emcee in the West End revival of Cabaret in late 2021 and he won an Olivier Award for his performance.
The production is now heading to Broadway with Gayle Rankin taking on the role of Sally Bowles, a full decade after she made her Broadway debut in the last revival of Cabaret in the role of Fraulein Kost.
The producers of the new production say that “the creative team will transform the August Wilson Theatre into the Kit Kat Club with an in-the-round auditorium and sinfully dreamlike spaces which guests will be invited to explore featuring pre-show entertainment, drinks, and dining. After purchasing tickets, guests will receive a ‘club entry time’ to allow them to take in the world of the club before the show starts.”

As long expected, London’s hit immersive staging of the beloved Kander & Ebb classic Cabaret starring Eddie Redmayne as the emcee will move to Broadway this spring, with Gayle Rankin taking the role of Sally Bowles.
Previews will begin April 1, 2024, at the August Wilson Theatre, with an official opening night of April 21. An opening gala is set for April 20. The musical features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff.
Director of the London production, Rebecca Frecknall, will do the same for Broadway, as will designer Tom Scutt. As with the London production, Cabaret on Broadway will be presented as an immersive, in-the-round staging, turning the August Wilson into the storied Kit Kat Klub, with audience members offered pre-show drinks and dining to evoke pre-World War II Berlin.
Said director Frecknall, “Cabaret is a masterpiece of writing which continues to reveal its richness to us.

Kelly Clarkson kicked off her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Bakkt Theater over the weekend with a funny warning to her fans.
Addressing the crowd, the 41-year-old declared, “Whatever you do, don’t throw it at me, people. If you’re gonna throw s**t, throw diamonds.”
Clarkson is seemingly referencing the recent slew of audience member attacks on performers during their concerts. Bebe Rexha suffered a black eye after a fan chucked a cell phone at her face. Pink was shocked when one concertgoer threw a bag of their mother’s ashes at her. And Cardi B angrily threw her microphone at a fan who threw a massive cup of water in her face.
Unwanted on-stage gifts aside, Clarkson had fun with the crowd, performing songs off her new breakup album, Chemistry, as well as some noteworthy covers.

With artists like Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, and Ice Spice, the Mark Ronson produced Barbie movie soundtrack is poised to be almost as iconic as the movie itself. Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” has officially arrived to turn the rest of the summer pink, just like Lizzo’s song that kicks off the film’s soundtrack. Who better than non-binary icon Sam Smith to sing a song called “Man I Am“? On Friday, as Barbie hit theaters, Smith released the single from the film’s soundtrack, where they sing from the perspective of Ken.
The lyrics are silly and dedicated to “the boys with your greased-up and heavy metal toys. So beefed up you can’t get through the door” as Smith jokes in a lower-octave voice, “No I’m not gay bro, but I’ve been on that lay low.”

Barbie is finally in theaters, and along with it is Barbie: The Album, a dance-inducing soundtrack curated by Mark Ronson featuring songs from Lizzo, Charli Xcx, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Haim, Tame Impala, and more. Listen to the album below.
Greta Gerwig’s film opens with Lizzo’s “Pink,” which soundtracks the titular doll’s perfect life in Barbieland and serves as an ode to the color that experienced a shortage thanks to the movie’s production. From there, Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night,” a former Consequence Song of the Week, naturally coincides with a jubilant dance number where the film’s ensemble cast can really shine.
Other highlights from the Barbie soundtrack include Charli Xcx’s “Speed Drive,” Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?,” and, of course, Ryan Gosling’s ballad, “I’m Just Ken.” We wouldn’t want to spoil the movie with any more...

With colorful vinyl variants, Nicki Minaj singles, and record-store listening parties, the star-studded soundtrack Barbie the Album has become as much of a cultural phenomenon as the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starring film itself. Produced by Mark Ronson, Barbie the Album shines on its own as a fun sonic reimagining of the Barbie storyline with a hint of nostalgia, featuring some of the biggest acts in music.

Pink received a surprise at her June 25 BST Hyde Park show in London when someone in the crowd threw a plastic bag of gray powder at her onstage while she was performing “Just Like a Pill.” The pop star halted her performance to ask the fan if the substance in the bag was human ashes.
“This is your mom?” Pink asked. “I don’t know how I feel about this.”
The music artist then set the bag behind a speaker at the front of the stage. After a moment of confusion, she went back to performing. Pink did not refer to the bag again during the concert.
