Although being the most favored Starmania (2002) finalist, leading the votes by
far in every single show, she was beaten by Michael Tschuggnall in the last
round.
Although just being runner-up of the first Starmania (2002) season, her career
developed far more successful than that of the winner. Her first song
"Ich lebe" (I'm living) ranked #1 in the Austrian single charts for
nine weeks and reached #3 in Germany.
Her parents are Ludwig and Edeltraud.
Since 2003, she has topped Austria's single charts five times. Her
fifth album "Lebe lauter" (Live louder) climbed from #0 to #1 in
Austria and Germany after its release (29 September 2006).
Although being Austrian, she won an ECHO Award as "Best Female Artist
Rock/Pop national" in Germany (2006).
Winner of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for "Best Pop/Rock national"
in three consecutive years since 2004, for "Newcomer of the Year
national" in 2004 and for "Best Single national" in 2005 and
2006.
Won another Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2007 for "Album Rock/Pop
national".
Was trained to be a bookseller.
The Shooting Star of late 2003 and of 2004 in Austria,
