The talented, handsome, and charming Ron Carmichael was an ice hockey champion sensation for twenty-two years. In 1975 he placed third for the Jr. Kings at the USA Nationals. He competed in three state championships, one regional championship, and he was a two-time league scoring champion.
Ron's great ice hockey talents were discovered by Hollywood in the 1980s. He appeared in the following films and commercials in his early career. 1980 Martin Scorsese's acclaimed "Raging Bull" where he played a ringside spectator cheering on Robert De Niro. 1981 Karl Malden's "Miracle on Ice" (TV movie) where Ron played one of the amazing hockey players. A popular Minolta Camera (TV commercial) where Ron played a hockey referee. 2021 Jamie Lee Curtis' "John's Ultimate Illusion" (documentary), winner of the DOC LA Award for most inspirational documentary. Ron played himself.
In 2022 Ron amazing talent and good looks landed him some great roles in award-winning scriptwriter, Marneen L. Fields' film "Who's Gonna Take Care of Me?" Ron has a couple of awesome speaking roles in the film, one as driver Gene. The other playing dyslexic homeless man, Danny in the crowd outburst scenes that take place in the shelter and at the park. He'll be showcasing his Six Sigma Black Belt talents as a stuntman in the stunt-actor role. He also has two featured roles in the film, one as a psychiatric patient in the psychiatric hospital opposite his wife Sherri Carmichael, and the other as a church goer during the sensational Holy baptism scene. Ron is also a supervising producer on the production along with helping with props, set design, and transportation.
In 2003 Ron became a best-selling published author with "The Six Sigma Path to Leadership." From 1997-2000 he also published eleven technical papers.
Ron has had an extensive and impressive award-winning background in engineering for Hughes/Raytheon Aircraft as an engineering manager. In 1992 he was awarded the Malcolm Currie Innovation Award. In 1996 he was awarded the NASA John Young Quality and Innovation Award for software development. In 2001 he won the Six Sigma Chairman's Award.
Ron has been in love with his childhood sweetheart Sherri Carmichael for over sixty years after meeting her through her brother who was his best friend at five years old. They reside in a gorgeous home in the heart of Culver City, California where they grew up minutes from MGM Studios and Sony Pictures.
