Things got a bit steamy on The View recently when Sunny Hostin shared excerpts of her newest book, Summer on Highland Beach, with the ladies.
The ladies had all been laughing and joking just before Sunny asked Joy Behar to read some of the “sexy parts” of her newest book.
This book, coming out May 28, is the third of Sunny’s Sag Harbor series, and Sunny has been busy promoting it since Christmas.
In this hot political season, it is good for the ladies to take a break and talk about other issues, even if they are a bit hot and steamy.
Whoopi Goldberg started the segment asking about sexy books and shared an article from the New York Post that said reading erotica is more effective than watching it.
She asked Joy what she thought; it was the perfect segue for Sunny to ask her to read from her newest book.

A member of the kitchen staff at the Plaza Hotel Lucchesi in Florence, Italy must be a big fan of The Office!

Movies primarily depend on the suspension of disbelief. Audiences tacitly know that movies are alternative realities. The narrative fidelity closely enough resembles the real world. However, there is an undercurrent of movie logic necessary to make most anything successful. While some modern audiences fancy themselves Cinema Sins-lite, dismissing most releases for the most arbitrary of continuity errors, that's not, and never has been, how movies should be watched.
Still, some films, even flawless ones, serve up moments that feel out of step with the rest of the movie. These scenes comparatively fall flat, often undermining what's come before or after. Here, we'll look at 10 flawless horror classics with single scenes that come across as out of place. That doesn't render these movies bad. If anything, it's a testament to the strong work elsewhere. Scaring people is hard, and these 10 movies almost got it perfect.

Bears. Beats. Battlestar Galactica. B-list roles. The Office star Rainn Wilson – who played bespectacled, mustard shirt-wearing Dwight K. Schrute on the Emmy-winning series – admits he grew dissatisfied with his career while filming the NBC show, saying he wanted more out of his career.
Speaking on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, Rainn Wilson remembered, “When I was in The Office, I spent several years really mostly unhappy because it wasn’t enough…I’m realizing I’m on a hit show, Emmy nominated every year, making lots of money, working with Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski and these amazing writers and incredible directors like Paul Feig. I’m on one of the great TV shows. People love it.” “Enough” for Rainn Wilson would have been to step out of his role on The Office to headline his own major movie.

Jenna Fischer had an unexpected influence on getting her Office co-star one of his most prominent movie roles. And it was all thanks to Fischer’s close connection with current Dcu head James Gunn.

Fischer and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn enjoyed a long six-year marriage together before their divorce in 2007.
Although their marriage didn’t last, Fischer and Gunn remained on pleasant terms afterwards. Fischer would continue her acting success on the popular comedy series The Office. Meanwhile, Gunn would reach greater heights as a filmmaker.
Fischer’s connection with Gunn came in handy for one Office co-star when the director was looking for a lead in the superhero flick Super. Super was Gunn’s 2010 movie about a superhero without any powers operating in a very realistic world. But Gunn...

Former pop musician Kauan Okamoto has alleged that he was sexually abused by famed Japanese music producer Johnny Kitagawa.
Kitagawa, who died in 2019, was previously accused of abuse by a number of others, the details of which formed the basis of a BBC documentary in March.
According to Okamoto, he had been abused by Kitagawa up to 20 times between 2012 and 2016, from the age of 15, when he was the member of a boy band (per BBC News).
The Japanese-Brazillian musician also alleged that as many as 100 boys could have been abused by Kitagawa.
During his life, Kitagawa denied all allegations and never faced criminal charges.
Okamoto, now 26, released a statement detailing his claims after watching Predator: The Secret Scandal of J-Pop on the BBC. In the documentary, it is claimed that multiple alleged victims told the broadcaster that they feared career reprisals if they didn’t go along with Kitagawa’s advances.

Jk Rowling has led the backlash against the decision to spare a child rapist from jail time due to the fact that he is under 25.
On Monday (3 April), Sean Hogg, now-21, was sentenced to 270 hours of community service for raping a 13-year-old girl in a park when he was 17.
After Hogg was found guilty by a jury at the High Court in Glasgow, Judge Lord Lake said that he had to take Hogg’s age into account.
“This offence, if committed by an adult over 25, [would] attract a sentence of four or five years,” the judge said during sentencing.
“I don’t consider that appropriate and don’t intend to send you to prison. You are a first offender with no previous history of prison: you are 21 and were 17 at the time. Prison does not lead me to believe this will contribute to your rehabilitation.”

The Office cameramen had a tough job. Since the show was presumably a documentary about Dunder Mifflin, they had to film every episode like a documentary. That got cramped in the real office and even the soundstage they built, and sometimes camera operators risked injury. But, the camera became a character on the show and was even directed as such.

The team inked a deal to executive produce and star in Code 3, an action-comedy about paramedics at the end of their rope. The project hails from Wayfarer Studios and Circle of Confusion, with production putting rubber to the road in Los Angeles in February.
Christopher Leone directs from a script by former paramedic Patrick Pianezza. According to Deadline, Code 3 focuses on a day in the life of two overworked, underpaid, and exhausted paramedics. One Emt, wasted from the job, forces himself to resign, though he must complete one more 24-hour shift before calling it quits. Director Doug Liman claims his new documentary about US Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh “picks up where the FBI investigation fell short”.
In 2018, Kavanaugh faced accusations from at least three women that he sexually assaulted them, or that they witnessed him sexually assaulting others.
The accusations were made after Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court by former president Donald Trump.
The associate justice, who was confirmed to the Supreme Court in October 2018, has categorically denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
The FBI was called to investigate the misconduct allegations during Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation process. It closed its extended background check after four days.
In a new documentary called Justice, which is set to debut at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, Liman “focuses on the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh and the investigation that ensued,” according to the Sundance director of programming Kim Yutani.
Speaking of the new documentary, Liman said:...

"I just want to be friends. Plus a little extra. Also, I love you." Ah, Dwight Shrute, always a way with words. It's clunky romantic exchanges like this that helped draw out one of modern television's best and most unorthodox love stories. The love story between Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly took center stage for the first several seasons of "The Office." But once their relationship was established, the show handed the baton to another couple.
Dwight Shrute and Angela Martin deftly carried the "will-they-won't-they?" sitcom trope all the way to the show's series finale. And while Jim and Pam's story might have been more traditional, Dwight and Angela's relationship was much more fun ... and salacious.
Along the way, cats were killed, babies were conceived, paternities were hidden, and affairs were had. The couple's tumultuous relationship began in season 2 and appeared to end in season 4 when Dwight killed Angela's cat Sprinkles.

Lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles alleges actor, then 35, ‘coerced sexual contact’ with 14-year-old ‘on multiple occasions’
A woman has filed a lawsuit against Warren Beatty, alleging that the actor coerced her into sex in 1973 when he was 35 and she was 14 and 15.
The suit, filed on Monday in Los Angeles superior court by Kristina Hirsch, does not list Beatty, now 85, by name but clearly references him. The defendant is referred to as “a renowned and well-known actor and producer” who was nominated for an academy award for his role as Clyde in 1967’s Bonnie and Clyde.
Information and support for anyone affected by rape or sexual abuse issues is available from the following organisations. In the US, Rainn offers support on 800-656-4673.
