In 1967, Bob Dylan and The Beatles both released albums. Dylan, along with many other people, made an appearance on the cover of The Beatles’ album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. When he released his album John Wesley Harding several months later, people wondered if Dylan had returned the favor and put The Beatles on the cover.
Bob Dylan | Steve Morley/Redferns Did Bob Dylan hide The Beatles’ faces on his ‘John Wesley Harding’ album?
Dylan’s 1967 album John Wesley Harding had a snapshot of him standing in front of a tree with three men. It was a good fit for the album, which had a relatively simple production value compared to the psychedelic rock his peers were releasing at the time.
When listeners looked closely at the album cover, they began to wonder if faces hid in the tree branches. Per Rolling Stone, when the album is upside down,...

Josh Gad recently posted a piece of comic book art up on his Twitter feed of The Penguin, who as you know is a classic Batman villain. Now the fans are trying to figure out what it means. Is he teasing that he's been cast in the role for director Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman film? Is he up for the role? Or is he just screwing around with fans?
Gad comes off as being a jokester and he could very well just be screwing around with the fans. He knew the internet would go ape-shit on this. There is an interesting piece of evidence to note, though. Several executives at DC Entertainment like John Berg and Geoff Johns started following Gad on Twitter over the last few months. Could it mean something?! I don't know!
That being said, I think Gad would be a perfect actor to take on the role of Penguin!

Solo adventures? More Squad time? Breaking away from The Joker? Here are some thoughts on Margot Robbie’s future as Harley Quinn...
Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn performance in Suicide Squad was one of the few facets of the film that earned praise pretty much across the board. Regardless of the fact that a baseball bat-swinging former psychiatrist seems like an odd pick for an elite taskforce designed for the eventuality that the next Superman figure to come to Earth might be a bad ‘un, something about Harley chimed with audiences and critics.

Ever since the news came out yesterday that Geoff Johns will join with Jon Berg as the joint-bosses of the WB’s new DC Film Division, the hopes of many fans have been raised. With a new vision now overseeing the Dceu, will it climb out of its slump and start delivering films that live up to the potential of the characters?
Has Warner Bros/DC found their own Kevin Feige? With DC lagging behind Marvel's movie franchises, many fixes have been suggested for the struggling Dceu. One of them is that the Dceu needs a single, focused vision to oversee its course, the way Marvel has Kevin Feige as the lord-and-master of the entire McU. For a time, it seemed like WB/DC had settled on Zack Snyder as their creative mastermind, despite the underwhelming results he’s delivered to them with Watchmen, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

Collider recently sat down for an interview with Atlas Entertainment President Charles Roven to discuss the Warner Bros. 'brain trust' for their DC adaptations. Roven has produced all three of Christopher Nolan's "Batman" films and Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" as well as the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", "Suicide Squad", and "Wonder Woman."
On which individuals make up the 'brain trust' involved with the DC Cinematic Universe, Roven said:
“I think also very much involved in that brain trust is John Berg, who is the executive vice president at Warner Bros. I would say the Snyders, myself, Jon Berg, and Geoff Johns would be sort of that Brain Trust… I’m working with great people. They’re all really great people. And not that we don’t—there are many times we agree, and there’s many times we don’t agree [and] we work it out.

There is an almost constant – some would say inevitable – comparison between the incredibly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fledgling DC Extended Universe. Granted, they both involve the adaptation of beloved comic book source material, but many have long suspected that this is where the similarities end – and Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice producer Charles Roven has essentially just confirmed that in conversation with Collider.
Charles Roven has a lot on his plate, thanks to the imminent commencement of the DC universe on cinema screens. The creative partnership between DC and Warner Bros has assembled a ‘brain trust’ consisting of Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Geoff Johns (DC Comics Chief Creative Officer) and John Berg (Executive Vice President of Warner Bros), and this group are overseeing no less than seven comic book movies between now and the planned Justice League Part Two in 2019. That’s not very different from...

Cinematic universes are an essential element of a franchise these days, but in order to maintain the connective tissue between these movies a 'Brain Trust' of sorts is often required to keep filmmakers in line. Both Marvel & Fox have adopted this approach in the past - to mixed results. Meanwhile, much has been made about WB's contrasting 'filmmaker-driven' approach to the Dceu. However, it seems there is still a brain trust in place at WB - at least, according to Charles Roven. In an interview with Collider, the Batman v Superman producer identified himself, Man Of Steel director Zack Snyder, producer Deborah Snyder, writer Geoff Johns and Warner Bros VP John Berg as the franchise's key creative minds. "There are many times we agree, and there’s many times we don’t agree [and] we work it out," he confessed. Despite this, Roven was quick to highlight the importance of directors & writers to this process.

John Berg, the legendary art director, died on Sunday at 83 from pneumonia, reports the New York Times. Berg leaves behind a legacy that includes some of music history's most famous album covers — spanning more than 5,000 in total — which earned him 29 Grammy nominations, including four wins for his work on Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits, Barbra Streisand's The Barbra Streisand Album, Chicago's Chicago X, and Thelonious Monk's Underground. Berg served as art director for Columbia Records, curating all of the artwork for the label's high-profile roster of artists between 1961 and his retirement in 1985. During that tenure, he was responsible for bringing on some of the best photographers and designers of that time — Milton Glaser, Richard Avedon, Jerry Schatzberg — to work with the label's most prolific talent. He's credited with being an innovator of album packaging, having commissioned a psychedelic poster of Dylan from...
