Darvil McBride
Darvil grew up in Hesperia, California where his father could better practice his passion of falconry, a family tradition which Darvil is passing on to his kids today. Darvil loved adventure and had plenty of them, leading up to attaining the Eagle Scout award. After high school, Darvil lived in the Amazon of northern Brazil for two years as a volunteer missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from BYU-Hawaii in 2009 with a BS in international business management, which he put to use by moving to China where he operated as a manufacturing business consultant. In 2011, he moved back to the US and enjoyed competitive spearfishing, won some events, and continues diving to this day. In 2021 Darvil won the NFSW national spearfishing championship, which qualified him to compete in the 2023 world championship, which, thanks to the help of his crack team, he won, becoming the first American to win the event. Today Darvil is the Director of Watersports for Hay Harbor Club on Fishers Island, NY and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids.
