ChanCé (Sansin Tuzun) is an Istanbul-based singer, songwriter, and medical doctor. Although she was born in Istanbul, she was raised in the Balkan region of Turkey, and her father roots comes from Antioch in the Turkish South. This diverse mix of cultures from west to east helped to create her unique musical style.
in 2013, she recorded her debut song "Middle East" with the Antioch Civilizations Choir who was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. in 2015, she wrote "Gallipoli" and recorded it with Adam Dunning, an Australian bossa nova singer; this song was dedicated to the centenary commemoration of the Turkish and Anzac warriors who fought in the great battle. After these song projects, ChanCé released her debut album Café Africa which was inspired by her early life in the USA. After she met Goran Bregovic, her childhood idol, she wrote a series of songs with the Balkan sound which she performed on stage with him and released in a second album Avare. This album produced a long list of singles including "Tutsak," "I love Jello," Nashville," "Arife Tarif," "Siki Bagla," "Adim Kadin," "Ordinary" (with Adam Dunning), "Ay Isiginda," "Buz Agaci," and "Sevdicegim, Shecharhoret" (with Yinon Muallem). ChanCé's eclectic music style is a tasty blend of Anatolian, folk, oriental, gypsy, and jazz.
