After a criminal probe by the FBI, U.S. prosecutors have charged Roccio Cuccia and Larry Collins with wire fraud and other illegal transactions in an alleged scheme to defraud Hunger Games studio Lionsgate. According to the grand jury indictment, Cuccia started working as a senior buyer at Lionsgate in 2006 and was responsible for securing cardboard advertising cases called "corrugates" for the studio. The products were used at retail stores to advertise DVD and Blu Ray discs. Chicago – With the departure of Adrian Monk (“Monk”), Jack Bauer (“24”) and Jack Shephard (“Lost”) along with the stoppage of the revolving door of personalities at “Law & Order,” there are very few time-tested icons left on television. One of the remaining TV characters that will clearly have a chapter of his own in the history books of the medium is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) and his stellar sixth season of the Fox medical drama was recently released in an excellent Universal set.

As "Brothers" opens in domestic theaters Friday, actor-turned-producer Matt Battaglia is preparing to delve deeper into his new career, unveiling a slate of original and acquired feature projects -- including one with J.J. Abrams.
Battaglia has been an actor for two decades, chalking up appearances on such TV shows as "Baywatch," "Charmed" and "Queer as Folk" before branching into the financing side of producing. That is how he got involved as a co-producer on "Brothers," the Jim Sheridan-helmed war drama starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.
Battaglia has dipped into his coffers to pick up rights to develop:

Stewart Harnell, CEO of the Atlanta-based digital production studio Cinema Concepts, will be honored with the 2009 Show 'E' Award at ShowEast.
Harnell will be feted during an awards gala set to close the confab on Oct. 29. ShowEast begins Oct. 26 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
"Throughout his career, Stew has achieved enormous success," ShowEast managing director Robert Sunshine said. "His award-winning production and postproduction studio (offers) the latest innovations in 35mm motion picture film, digital cinema and 3D stereoscopic technologies."
Harnell began his career in 1961 as a booker-salesman with National Screen Service in Chicago. He was promoted to trailer production manager in New York before moving to operations in New Orleans and then Atlanta.
In 1970, Harnell founded Harnell Independent Prods. in Atlanta, where he produced and distributed independent features. He founded Cinema Concepts in 1979.
