Cougar Hunting, yet another sexy comedy about a bunch of guys in their 20s and their adventures with women of an older but sexually provocative persuasion, is coming to DVD from Screen Media on Aug. 2 for a list price of $24.98.
The three young men—played by Matt Prokop, Jareb Dauplaise and Randy Wayne—head out to Aspen to jump on the cougar cruising train, encountering such lovely ladies who apparently fit the description as Vanessa Angel (Spies Like Us) and Lara Flynn Boyle (TV’s The Practice), as well as the notably younger Jillian Murray (Wild Things: Foursome).
When we reviewed the movie Cougars, Inc. last month, we opined that “Cougars” were fast becoming a stale topic, having been a hot subject for quickie comedies and DVD Premieres a couple of years back. (For examples, check out Cougar Club, Cougars 101 and Cougar School.) We were going to amend our theory...

Max Owens (Jayson Blair) has been missing in action from Rj's (Paul Iacono) life for the past few episodes of "The Hard Times of Rj Berger," but he returns with a bang on the Monday (May 16) episode.
Zap2it has your first look at the coming episode, in which we see Max's triumphant return. We also spoke with Blair about the craziness that is about to ensue when it comes to his character.
"I come back in a big way getting a blowjob in the school parking lot," he tells us. "This episode picks up kinda where my character leaves off and it starts the descent into the craziness for the finale, which is going to be madness."
While Max doesn't play a huge role this week, it's the following episode where we will see some major changes. Blair tells us that a conflict between his character and Rj will...

While Rj Berger's (Paul Iacono) love life may be coming together for once, his home life is falling apart. Cue best friend Miles (Jareb Dauplaise) to provide distraction (or at least attempt to) for his distraught pal, as well as a little comedy that centers around something other than a love triangle.
On Monday's (May 9) episode of "The Hard Times of Rj Berger," viewers will continue to be treated to the hilariously uncomfortable romance involving Suzanne (Beth Littleford) and Coach Sinclair (Marlon Young), but we'll also check in with Miles as he takes on a new extracurricular activity. One that does not involve crabs this time, but still ends in obvious misfortune.
Zap2it has an exclusive first look at the upcoming episode. In it, we see Miles attempt to cheer Rj up with a little joke about "The Hangover." As they both fall witness to some serious hallway Pda,...

Hollywoodnews.com: The world – Ok, “Twilight” fans – will flock to theaters this weekend to see if Robert Pattinson has a career once the vamps-and-wolves franchise draws to a close. But if tragic love triangles aren’t your thing, Hollywood has a handful if independents, as well as the new Tyler Perry to satisfy all tastes. But we have to start our look toward the weekend with:
Water for Elephants (**1/2 out of 4)
Francis Lawrence’s handsome adaptation of Sara Gruen’s best-selling novel is a circus-set period romance where the main attraction – a doomed love triangle propping up the Big Top – pales in comparison to the sideshows and secondary acts coloring the fringe.
Lawrence appears more interested in the machinations of the Depression-era circus, and all of the hard work that went into staging the greatest show on Earth, than he is in the predictable romance played...

The Hard Times of Rj Berger kicked off season two with a bang, and we sat down with Max Owens, aka Jayson Blair, to see what was going on as we discussed the show's awesome guest stars, the problem with playing bullies, and the future of the season.
__________
Ugo: What drew you to the show?
Jayson Blair: I really liked how edgy and ambitious the material was. I wanted to give it a try and have some fun, because the show is, essentially, a whole lot of fun to watch and to be a part of.
Ugo: So what’s it like playing the bully on the show?
Jayson Blair: It’s a lot of fun because we’re kind of like a family on set. So, when I mess with people, I’m messing with my friends. I get a free pass, because I’m being my character.

Season one of MTV's "The Hard Times of Rj Berger" ended with a dramatic cliffhanger that saw Rj leaving his lifelong crush, Jenny, to lose his virginity to friend Lily ... in a hospital bed before she flat-lined.
But when MTV News spoke with the "Hard Times" stars, they told us what they really can't wait to see on Thursday's season-two premiere is what happened after a more violent altercation.
"At the very end of season one, Miles beats up Max at the prom," Jareb Dauplaise, who plays Miles, reminded us. "That's the last time you see Miles, [he's] straddling Max Owens and just punching him where you shouldn't hit a man. So in the opening, you have Miles facing the music with the Max Owens beatdown.

Jessie Spano is so excited. Shel's also so scared. The most histrionic scene in all five seasons of Saved by the Bell is etched in the minds of every child of the early '90s. While Joey Lawrence's "Woah" and Pauley Shore's "Wheez the Juice" have fallen by the wayside, Spano's exclamations after overindulging on caffeine pills have stood the test of time. So, if you're someone like Dan Levy and creating a web series that's an amalgamation of your favorite early '90s sitcoms, this is a scene you want to spoof. And wouldn't ya know, Levy channels one helluva Elizabeth Berkley. In the first installment of Atom's latest web series, Dan Levy's Laugh Track Mash-Ups, Levy plays your stereotypical, naive high school student from which all after school specials are made. Dripping with impressionability, Dan dives headfirst into illegal substance abuse with the helping hand of resident bad boy,...

There are only two episodes left of MTV's quirky original series, "The Hard Times of Rj Berger." And the winter formal seems to be shaking up Rj and his crew's world in Monday's (August 16) episode.
It's the penultimate event of the year for horny teenage boys, but Rj (Paul Iacono) and Miles (Jareb Dauplaise) have just been clued in to the guarantee that they'll score.

Awards season for web series is in full stride right now, and now that public submissions for the Streamy Awards have closed, attention of show creators has turned to wooing Academy members who will do much of the tough voting for the top honors in web TV. Two independent series teamed up to host an unofficial 'Academy screening' in Hollywood last night, with comedy Blue Movies and drama The Fall of Kaden teeing up on the big screen at Cinespace. Kicking off the evening, Kaden creators Matt Doubler and Adam Leiphart matched up with Blue Movies creator Scott Brown to show a surprise "For Your Consideration" video (above), poking fun at the precarious business of web series. They tapped the omnipresent Shira Lazar to 'host' the video which stars a smattering of each series' lead actors. The screening theater was packed, with scant standing room space in the back. In a previous life I think I was a fluff girl so I’m kind of sensitive about behind the scenes porno shows. While most of you were laughing it up watching Trey Parker shave his balls in Orgazmo I was strapped into a 94-minute emotional roller coaster ride of painful memories. So what can be expected from Blue Movies, a new web series from creator/director Scott Brown? Well if you don’t have painful and repressed memories of pleasuring the leading man off camera while trying to support three children all under the age of four I think you’ll be getting some pretty fantastically good awesomeness out of this one. Episode 1 (above), “The First Time,” opens with a “pivotal scene” from a special Batman adaptation, “The Dark Night: Full of Hot Freakin’ Orgies,” where an actually well costumed and acted Joker Zack Gold reenacts the famous disappearing pencil scene.
