The film debuted at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where executive producer Ali Wentworth encouraged pioneering creatives to not “listen to ‘no, you can’t.”
“Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields” is a galvanizing look at the actress, model, and icon as she transforms from a sexualized young girl to a woman discovering her power, per an official synopsis. Discovery Channel is entering the dating game with series orders for three shows that blend romance with nature, entertainment and adventure, including “Naked and Afraid of Love,” “Mating Season” and “Mountain Love,” TheWrap has learned exclusively.
The trio of series will be available across Discovery, Inc. platforms later this year.
Here’s the official description for “Naked and Afraid of Love”:
Today, dating has become filtered – through the clothes we wear, jobs we have, and lives we share on social media. But what if it was all stripped away — the filters, dating apps and curated personas — leaving room for only our most primal wants and needs, and exposing who we really are in the process? Would we forge stronger connections? Discovery seeks to answer these questions and more in “Naked and Afraid of Love,” a groundbreaking take on modern dating that is the ultimate blend of survival and romance unlike anything viewers have seen.

Exclusive: How did audiences respond to the Apple TV+ premiere of Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, which premiered in over 100 countries and theaters? The streamer would not divulge specific numbers — they never do — but I can report that the film became the biggest hit title for young adult audiences that Apple has had so far across its slate of films and TV series. The movie drew a record-breaking 33% new viewers to the service, with young adult audiences fueling the momentum from the moment the film premiered on Thursday, February 25. Nearly half of the film’s audience came from outside the U.S. and was number one among young adults across the globe, including the U.K., Australia, Mexico, Germany, Brazil, Russia, the Netherlands, France, and more, per Apple.

Big Bird brought some of the “Sesame Street” gang by “Lip Sync Battle,” and Jason Schwartzman had his hands full.
First, Cookie Monster jumped up on the turntables — err, turncookies — to accompany the giant nest-dweller, who was spitting some Black Eyed Peas. When Fergie’s “I Gotta Feeling” chorus came up, Elmo jumped out of a cake to do some singing.
At that point, Schwartzman knew he was done for. And no, we have no idea what the “Rushmore” star was dressed as.

In the first clip, the former “Bachelorette” star lip-syncs and grooves through Salt-n-Pepa’s classic hip-hop hit “Shoop.” Lindsay is so good at dipping back into her bag of tricks that Higgins looks visibly concerned about following her with his own performance.

Each episode of the planned series will pit three builders against each other in two historical challenges, in which they will re-create era-specific weaponry, from the firearms of the frontier to the blades of the Vikings.
