Nimish is a self-taught screenwriter born and brought up in Mumbai and is currently based out of New Zealand. He strives to make engaging content and tell impactful, inspiring yet mainstream stories, which reflects in all his work. Nimish's experience as a trainee at the Indian Military Academy led him to write Meiktila, a story about a boy who learns what it means to be a soldier. It is his first feature-length script which was the finalist in India's National Screenwriting Competition, Cinestaan 2020, and is also one of six winning scripts at the Screenwriters Association (SWA) Development Lab 2022. Nimish wrote a family road-trip comedy called Go Khurana Go which has recently been optioned by a Sydney-based production house and is currently in pre-production. Nimish was also part of a 4-week development sprint led by Academy Award winning producer Carthew Neal and Morgan Waru where he developed the dark-comedy feature, Mama Moo. Before pursuing his love for screenwriting Nimish has written two distinct novels - Moments Of Truth, his debut novel, which outlines the coming-of-age story of a commitment-phobic young man at an average Business School and Divyastra, his second novel, which follows a father-son conflict that intertwines with a sci-fi and mythological underbelly of their family. Nimish is currently in the process of developing his original series and feature projects.
