Pay up! Fixer Upper stars Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines' company, Magnolia House, was fined $40,000 by the Us Environmental Protection Agency after they broke several rules about the proper removal of lead-based paint on the show. The Epa looked at footage from different seasons and deemed the couple's practices unsafe. According to a statement found on the Epa's website, 33 homes were affected. "Video footage of Magnolia's renovations of older homes appearing in several seasons of Fixer Upper reviewed by Epa did not depict lead-safe work practices," the statement explained. And, according to the document, there were a number of different guidelines that the Gaines' company did not follow. We’re not crying, you’re crying!
Chip and Joanna Gaines just wrapped the final episode of their breakout Hgtv series Fixer Upper, but saying goodbye is proving harder than they thought.
“Today was the final reveal…We definitely felt the emotion behind each of those steps leading up to the big canvas,” Joanna wrote in an Instagram post Thursday alongside a photo of the couple walking toward one of the show’s huge rolling screens used to reveal the house they’ve made over at the end of each episode. “We love you Fixer Upper,” she added with the hashtag #savedthebestseasonforlast.

Chip and Joanna Gaines have just completed their most dramatic makeover yet.
On the season finale of Fixer Upper, Michael Matsumoto, the executive producer of the hit Hgtv series, and his wife, Jessie, are in the market for a house near Waco, Texas. The couple and their two children were living in Los Angeles, but decided it was time to find a place to settle down in the Lone Star state, nearer to the Gaineses. And who better to help than their coworkers?
In true Chip and Jo fashion, the property they were selling the Matsumotos on was in less than stellar shape.
