Composer and arranger, educated at London's Guildhall School of Music. He studied with Orlando Morgan and was a charter member and secretary of the American Society of Music Arrangers and a secretary for the Musicians Guild. He joined ASCAP in 1943, and his works include "When You Are Near", "Within the Temple of My Soul", "Little Ranchero", "How Softly the Rain Falls", and "Beside the Sea of Galilee", as well as "Reverie" (string orchestra), "Cello Concerto", "Seven Ages" (for baritone and orchestra), "What the Moon Saw" (suite), "Sunken Ships" (tone poem), "Nocturne" (National Composers Clinic award), "Valse de Ballet" (I, II), "Symphonic Overture", "Festival Overture", "Symphony No. 1", "Sonata for Cello, Piano", "Septet" (string quartet, winds), "String Quartet", "Little Eileen", "Lion and the Mouse" (tone poem), "Woodwind Quintet", "String Quintet", "Musical Forum", "Nonet for Wind" (string quartet), "Requiem for Brass Ensemble", "Three Pieces for Violin, Viola, Cello", "Serenade for Flute, Violin, Viola", "Three Pieces for Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon", "Emblem of Victory March", "Varsity Spirit March", and "Symphonic Triumphal March".
