Austin Kimmell (b. 1998) is a cartoonist, filmmaker and animator whose work combines eccentric subject matter with a mixed-media presentation and vintage aesthetics.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, his hard work and talent landed him at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, under the guidance of professors such as Jake Fried, Hayley Morris and Javier Barboza.
His past experience includes work for MIT, Seb's Productions and Tribe WOD. As an independent filmmaker, he's written and directed a number of award-winning films, such as "Put a Stick in It" (2020), "Gotcha!" (2018) and "Trapper Keeper" (2017). "Put a Stick in It" has won many honors, including the inaugural Vanishing Angle Post Grant.
Austin resides in Quincy, Massachusetts and is at work on further projects, including his debut feature film.
