There will be no fourth season for Disney Channel’s Secrets of Sulpher Springs. The network has canceled the time-travel mystery-adventure series after three seasons, Deadline has confirmed.
Created, written and executive produced by Tracey Thomson (The Young and the Restless), Secrets of Sulpher Springs followed 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Preston Oliver), whose world had been upended by his father, Ben (Josh Braaten), after he moved the family from Chicago to take ownership of an abandoned hotel property, The Tremont. The family—which also includes Griffin’s mother, Sarah (Kelly Frye), and his younger twin siblings, Wyatt (Landon Gordon) and Zoey (Madeleine McGraw)—lived in The Tremont in hopes of restoring it to the lively vacation destination it once was. On his first day at his new school, Griffin heard rumors that the hotel was haunted by the ghost of Savannah (Elle Graham), a girl who disappeared decades ago. He soon...

The promotional train for Dahmer may have started late, but the lack of publicity for the series has seemingly resulted in more interest.
Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story beat Netflix records in its first week on the streaming service.
After just five days available, it secured 196.2 million hours of viewership, allowing it to hit the #1 spot in several countries.
The numbers make Dahmer the highest first week of viewership for a series debut on Netflix.
Granted, the numbers were probably helped by the fact that the series dropped on a Wednesday instead of a Friday.
We'll have more concrete numbers when the show has been available for longer.
The series narrowly beat Inventing Anna, which netted 195.97 million hours viewed.
Squid Game, which became the streamer's most-watched show ever, kicked off with just over 63 million hours viewed.

Held back from critics, presumably so that co-creator Ryan Murphy could protect the viewing experience for audiences without access to Wikipedia, recent television or semi-recent history, Netflix’s Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is an infuriating hodgepodge. (That’s the last time I’m going to use that full idiotic title, one of several things Netflix brass should have had the wherewithal to prevent.)
One can appreciate the performers in Dahmer — Richard Jenkins and Niecy Nash in particular; Evan Peters despite an excess of familiarity in his turn — and respect that Murphy and co-creator Ian Brennan have tangible and meaningful things to say here, while also feeling that the 10-episode series is haphazardly structured, never finds a happy medium between exploration and expectation, and probably would never have existed if adulation for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story had been more universal.

Full disclaimer: I’ve lived in Oxford, Mississippi and have attended the festival for the past 3 years. As a result, I know many of the local filmmakers pretty well, and, as an act of both preventing an explicit conflict of interest while not punishing those who’ve befriended me, the following reviews will be presented with a minimum of evaluative language. Instead, these articles will seek to promote the Oxford Film Festival in the context of acknowledging Mississippi’s willingness to both create and screen its own brand of independent film.
For those who seek it, the small college town of Oxford in north Mississippi can be a mecca of creative culture. Bars pump out hipsters, both good and bad, the local music scene dominated by local label Fat Possum and the satellite bands and music types. Harry, Cassie and Oliver defended a young mother accused of euthanizing her severely ill infant this week, while Tommy and Adam fought the good fight for an Iraq veteran quirw deserving a purple heart.
It seemed Harry's Law was in the business of delivering legal miracles on "Purple Hearts," wasn't it?
While the episode succeeded at pulling the heart strings, I found I was less welcoming of the social commentaries that dominated the hour.
I sincerely appreciated the addition of Josh Braaten to the cast. He's been making the rounds as a guest star, and just when I'd forgotten about his time on The Mentalist, here he was guest starring on Harry's Law.
Other than that, his presence wasn't the focus of the episode, aside from being the defendant's husband in the mercy killing case. Slightly disappointing, but clearly necessary.
That said, did anyone else see that Nurse O'Malley clearly...

Some episodes go the more case-centered route, and some, like this episode of The Mentalist (TV) go the more character driven route. And I happen to love the character driven episodes the best. Especially when they are directed by the series lead, Simon Baker, who happens to know how to tell a good story. Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) are meandering about in a crop field. Jane decides to take a moment to commune with nature, or maybe just chat with Bambi for a bit, but Lisbon wants them back on task. Task: three dead bodies in the crop field, each killed a different way. Two of them were cops and the other was Keely Farlow, the fiancé of Emt Todd Johnson (Josh Braaten). Jane must see something he likes, because he tells Lisbon that he "wants the case." Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) is busy setting up shot at the local sheriff's office,...
